Proto of the NES verison of Hard Drivin' released
Atari_afternoon replied to Crimefighter's topic in Prototypes
Thank you for the hint. Runs well on the Wiz (clocked up to 700 Mhz). The little tearing is hardly noticeable... The open bridge looks even better than in the Mega Drive/Genesis-version IMO. No crash-animations here. I think this compares well to the Lynx-version and almost also to the MD/Genesis one. Haven´t finished the complete parcours here yet... -

Y1 is a collection one of it is a text adventure (English and French). You wake up as Merlin after a long night at the drinking table with the king, the king calls you and you have to get your gear together: magic ball, wand, hat etc. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/127431-yastuna-vol-1-the-alchemy-of-cubes/

Great There IS one Lynx textadventure, the one about "drunken Merlin" on Yastuna 1, it´s very enjoyable (but brief, 20 minutes max.; English and French)

Fascinating, I agree

Hmm. For me, however, it works fine, and I use NiMH cheapos all from local discounters (4 for 10 Euros, 2600 mAh). No problems in 90ies handhelds Game Gear, Lynx, Nomad. One charge here lasts longer than a (3)DS and PSP fully charged lithium battery (I never grow tired to deny these consoles´ status as "battery-eaters! )

Haha, now you´re telling us thank you I only knew the Mission Skip one It´s great to have a different start each time. I so love this game! How about publishing the alternative levels (the other CV edition) again, Carl?

Also interesting to see that Rygar once was ...eighty....pounds? 79.97. Was it really that expensive?
-
Yes, i have read all the links now I think. I find it very nice of you that you dedicate your work to such a great member of the Atari world.

No, any lynx game and demo will do. And the cable is a normal mini-USB cable. I wrote a sort of mini-guide to the Lynxman Flashcart, which was copied from my own summarized notes of the FC manual because it is not just drag and drop but the FC needs the correct parameters (size and file extension). Self-quoted from http://atariage.com/...25#entry2252878 : Lynxman added later:

Nothing exiting here, Atari 2600 and C64-kiddie here. Had a Gameboy, saw Lynx on display in the early 90ies, waaay too expensive for me back then... (6-8 months in pocket-money-currency). 2006, I got back into handheld gaming after many years of PC-gaming and a 4 year gap. 2009, found this forum in my then new quest of catching up on "1990ies handhelds I have missed back then". Reading reviews, bid a few times and "won" my Lynx in September 2010 at last from a Greek ebay seller who "has changed his mind" and i wrote Pms all the time back and forth with him, seeing some negative feedback accumulate from other ebay buyers (the NFL football cartridge, for example, he "lost", according to anyother "buyer"). When it finally arrived after 20 PMs of social engineering (and mild threats but also appealing to his honor as a fellow gamer creating personal disappointment) , I considered it sort of a trophy of a personal victory over the forces of evil

How to play the real Battlezone 2000 mode?
Atari_afternoon replied to 108 Stars's topic in Atari Lynx
Well basically you can clear all the hundreds of battlefields...you can "save" by noting down the passwords (or by saving with an emulator...). Carl has the best "explanations" I have found on how to get going in the special game: http://songbird-prod...in/bz2kpat.html -
Thank you so much for your work, GadgetUK ( and team)
