  1. So I've decided to quit just administrating and fundraising and do actual weekly live shows. Every week at 7 PM Central Time zone, tune over to www.townparkradio.com for my show. Included will be geeky news, funny songs, all around silliness and maybe even some contests. Why announce it here? well, firstly, you're pretty much my favorite people. SECONDLY.. I am looking for aggregators and reporters! Basically folks who specialize in a topic a'la the Daily Show used to use Colbert for. What does this mean? Well, you can either record your own segments for play, or just send me short snippets of information and I pick and choose what to report and comment on. An i am looking for a few more volunteers! PM me if you have any ideas for your own segment: Right now I already have a few: Miba will be covering the Star Wars news The Intolerable Vman is covering Comics and generic sci-fi, though likely with a Star Trek bent If anyone else wants in on this, PM me for more information. You wouldn't have to provide with content hooks every week as not every segment need run every week, but hey... we can work something out. I KNOW one of you folks would have homebrew/classic gaming news tidbits they want out there; and maybe some of you would even like to do audio reviews of games. It's all up in the air; a beautiful thing is beginning. If any of you know non-AA folks who want in on it, email me at [email protected]
  2. Yep. I must purchase one. space is at a premium here. Have any of you folks got one for sale?
  3. System changer.. if I got that, would tht mean I would not have to go through the rigamarole of setting my 2600 up everytime I wanted to play it?
  4. ... and I really have turned this topic into something it's not. Moderators.. is it appropriate for me to open a "running a Live Show" topic somewhere?
  5. Then this time I shall give warning. How does tomorrow, June 14th, 2012 at 5 PM mountain time sound?
  6. As for getting in trouble with Intellivision productions? I wouldn't worry about it. Unless your game steals direct assets form the original... and it doesn't look like it does, or the same maps, it would be foolish to push the lawsuit. See the Pac Man vs Jawbreaker/KC Munchkin cases in the 80's. Unless, of course, you used the word "Intellivision" anywhere. Remember Giana Sisters? that game was an obvious Super Mario clone, but it was different enough. They got zinged because they used SMB in it's advertising extensively.
  7. Contact the Humble Bundle persons. They allow Indie authors to use their platform to distribute games. Same with GOG.com. If you do port to PC, leave 360 controller as an option as well, please
  8. Oh and I have 80 unused Ms points, they went to your game even if I never get to actually play it.
  9. Is it easily port-able to PC? I live entirely on solar power, and my laptop draws 65 watts max. My 360 draws 95 watts MINIMUM, and requires a TV to be running.. so I haven't used it in over a year; but i am eager to throw my money at you regardless.
  10. We're so much happier here than on the Atari parts of the boards.
  11. Some of those games I want so bad I can TASTE it... but $470? Lol.
  12. Things like that get high not because of collectors or people who actually want the systems, but people who think the can make a living buying and selling on eBay. The guy who bought the $70 worth of stuff for $160 probably thinks he got a good deal because the bidding started at $150.
  13. ... he'd make more if he parted it out.
  14. I suspect Cmart Inc. is more willing to ship to Canada, too. Cmart Inc will pretty much ship everywhere, I could just use a few more helpers. I don't think many of us live close to you.
  15. ... really? When I'm not doing it live, it plays what my signature has always said it played. when I'm live? heck could be anything. Last time my mother ended up requesting Rod Stewart, and his royalties are cheap so... we got Rod stewart mixed in with public domain stuff. Oh, I'm so sorry, I should have paid more attention. Cool. -dZ. I was trying my very hardest not to be a smart-ass, heh.

  17. the problem is I don;t give much warning. Maybe I should actually schedule these a day in advance? Lol.
  18. For the record, I'm not mad at you guys. It's my core audience of 24 nightly listeners on average I'm vaguely annoyed at. They can't even come up with 10 bucks between them once a month.
  19. Live Show's over! Donation not met, blergh, lol. ten measelly bucks!
  20. Setting up for another live show! Music from VVVVVV and Retro City Rampage will be featured along with other things with quasi-questionable legality!
  21. I'm a bit torn on this topic. For the games of my childhood? I want boxes, but it's not crucial. but modern days? I often tell my wife "I don;t play boxes. The Steam version is fine".
  22. Great score !! I thought the same about the girders as well.. Also the AI on the fire seems a little too good sometimes .. Are you using the 30 FPS mode ? Nope. I just told my TV that there was a "Game" on that input and it took care of things itself.
