  1. And for someone born in 1980, you'd think he'd know better.
  2. I thought it was cute to repeat the early speech synthesis until that unfunny AVGN did a sequence which got posted all over the internet where he and the game said "Bawmer" to each other for a minute. He then said "what the fuck is that shit" or something similar. i'll tell you what "the fuck that shit is", junior: a really good attempt considering the technology of the time at making the voice sound something like a southeastern US human instead of a robot.
  3. Depending on the game itself, I may be very interested. I don't own an ECS as the only game I'd want for it is the apparently rare and expensive baseball game... but hey, you never know.
  4. That Night Stalker actually looks halfway decent.
  5. While I've never enjoyed this game on any system I do wish you luck and would of course help out with a radio commercial.
  6. Reovlutionika and The Search for Bea Arthur's Zombie Funbags?
  7. Has anyone emailed Bea Arthur yet? I wonder if I can get her to record a commercial for the game! lol
  8. Hey man don't go stealing my ideas . I'm about half way through coding the intro to the level. No worries. I don't know assembly so...
  9. Is it sad I'm actually thinking of game concepts that would go with the title "Bea Arthur's Funbags!"?
  10. I see the monster this board has created is getting closer to being birthed.
  11. Bea Arthur's scene was.. well god bless her she tried her best. I remember her being interviewed on the subject. She was told to adlib a sketch about closing down the cantina, and her statement was something like "I don't understand why it had to be this big fucking deal getting closed early, I mean the bar was going to open again the next day, right?"
  12. Not necessary. The whole movie seems to move in slow motion on its own. (In fairness, though, I have to say that Bea Arthur did as good a job as anybody could possibly have done with the lousy material she was given in that "production." At least she doesn't come out of it looking as stupid as Harvey Korman.) My wife once asked me what I would like as my last request if I were to be executed. I said my last wish would be to watch the Star Wars Holiday Special, because I'd have time for my children to be born and sent off to college before it was over.
  13. Painful to watch these games played in the wrong aspect ratio. There's an option to fix it, it's probably just a single button press on the remote as well.
  14. I have utterly failed to teach myself assembly in the allotted time period I gave ymself, so you're in this contest alone.
  15. In 24 hours I might be able to learn how to make an Inty put text on the screen, but what the hell, why not? Any links to good starts on learning what to do?
  16. The title of this thread sounds like a new homebrew for Intellivision: Revolutionika and Bea Arthur's funbags! Kind of a weird game like: Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes! I hope Groovybee starts programming this game soon, i cant wait to play with funbags on my Intellivision. Yeah like give him an Indiana Jones hat, and have him collecting literal bags of fun things like toys and candy... use a shot of her form the Star Wars Holiday Special on the cover....
  17. Since my topics all end up there anyway. *awaits modslap*
  18. Lol and I just read a message from pimpmaul asking if Commando was still in any kind of shape. sorry, it was not.
  19. Ouch! Did the rats* actually chew up the circuit boards? If not, you can probably pull the PCBs and put them in a different cart shell. *(or whatever rodent it was -- I seem to remember it was a different species) Yep, bushy tailed woodrats! And yes, they ate the pcbs. They're studious little pricks. some of my other carts are missing little chunks but the boards are untouched so they work fine. Commando was totally destroyed though. Ate the label, everything. Left me half a board and part of the case without label. I had to do ivnentory to figure out what it was.
  20. i have a spare he man cart if u are interested Sendin' a PM
  21. Oh and about Donkey Kong.... eeeeeew! Holy crap. No matter what Coleco claims, you will never convince me they didn;t do that on purpose. Never, ever. I kinda liked the 2600 one but... man did Coleco hire someone's bedridden grandmother to design this version?
  22. Below are photos of the boxes Rev sent, the Inty sent, and my current collection. The boxes are a big surprise; never expected to get them, and as you can see.. it's a Zeller's/Sears Super Arcade that was sent! I've folded the games Rev sent into my collection; he sent Pitfall, Carnival, Donkey Kong, and Atlantis. It's a good thing he did send Pitfall, because that was gnawed on and destroyed by the packrats! So were Astrosmash (grrr no HSC for me this week), Beamrider (not to worry, I had two spares), Commando (never even got to try it due to moving and housebuilding), and He-Man, but it turns out I have a little money so I think I can at least afford to buy He-Man again. Or I'll see about trading, as I have spares of Atlantis, Microsurgeon, Beamrider, Dreadnaught Factor, Beauty and the Beast and Stampede. Enough rambling, here's the images! What can I say? I am a happy, happy man.
