Apologies for that. I selected the wrong picture.. Although both pictures look the same... I will say that the picture looks somewhat better.. I used Console5 for the cap replacement. I got the caps, did the replacement and the above is what I'm seeing now. I'm thinking I may replace the TIA next to see if that could possibly be the issue. I can't think of anything else being the culprit outside of the color pot, which does seem to work, just the color is hideous as you can see and we have the blocks/lines everywhere.

Hi Everyone, it's been awhile since I've been on the forums! I've recently had a resparked interest in Atari stuff and started turning my attention towards a project I had laying around that I never got to. What I have is a Black Atari 2600 4 switch that I'm working on installing a composite video mod into. What prompted me to install a composite mod was not just because I wanted to get away from Coax. It was also because there seemed to be a problem with the video as well. About 5 years ago, someone gave me the suggestion of installing a composite mod and that it should fix the issue I was seeing. I forgot about until it lately and about 2 weeks ago, I got the bug to try the mod install. I don't know how common that is, but looking at the main board, there doesn't seem to be much that COULD go wrong in the unit. I'm pretty surprised as to how simple it is. 🙂 Any ideas of what I might be missing? Am I'm that far off with thinking the problem could be the TIA? If that's the case, is there a place I could get another one?

There are some people that I've ran into that don't get the free spirit nature of open source software. So, they'll say that something is GPL to be "in vogue", but get mad when someone uses the source code in something else. I'd rather ask and be safe than just take. Besides, if I run into a problem with the source code, guess who I'm asking. You're the last guy I'd like to make mad! :-)

My goal is to create a lightweight Linux based operating system with the aim to replicate the experience that one would have in using the Atari Jaguar or Lynx, but on newer components. Someone could take a motherboard with HDMI display, install the operating system provided, and it would boot into a selection menu that would allow the selection of Atari Jaguar (and hopefully Atari Lynx if the project owner of Handy ever gets back to me) games and allow them to be played off of semi new hardware without the need for a real Jaguar. The difference between this and our current emulation as people do off of their computers is that the goal is to more closely replicate the experience of playing a real Jaguar than playing a game for a console on a computer. The Lynx part is an added bonus. I've always wanted to play Lynx games on my TV without needing to mess with a mousepad or being on a computer. I'm not going to show all my ideas up my sleeve just yet, because there are a lot that would add value to this project. This is just the initial idea of what I'm planning to do.

You need to install the QT4 dev version. Both VJ 2.1.0 and the normal version from the site compiled just fine after I installed those.

Hi, I'm wanting to use the souce code from Virtual Jaguar in a project that I plan to release at some point. Who would I ask permission from to use the source code? I asked this question on the forum that the Virtual Jaguar homepage points to. Only got the answer that the creator of that project hangs around the forums every once in awhile and hasn't been on in months.

Would totally love to see it! Glad someone other than me played that game.
