    JXD S5110

    From the album: Marketplace

  3. @theloon - This is a native Android 4.x version (It came with Android 4.0.2). I also upgraded it sometime last summer to the latest firmware. The HDMI out does work, but unfortunately, it's a bit slow. one of the very few drawbacks of this machine. The other drawback is the analog stick not being a true analog stick. it's mapped to the D-Pad.
  4. Hi Everyone, This is my first dealing on here, so be gentle. I have a JXD S5110 handheld emulation console. (http://www.jxd.hk/products.asp?id=611&selectclassid=009006). (NOTE: The emulators described on JXD's website do not come with it. They weren't that great, so I deleted them and bought my emulators off google play, which are much better. None of my emulators are included.) I'd like to trade this unit for an Atari 5200 2 or 4 port model in decent condition with AV hookups, Power adapter, at least 2 controllers, and at least one game. I'll post pictures in a few minutes of the unit. I'll even include a power charging brick that I've been using with it. This unit also includes a 16GB mini SD card. Thanks, Joe
  5. I guess I'm trying to gauge what can be done with a 48k. Would it be closer to a NES? or would it be closer to an original Atari 2600?
  6. In some respects.. In others, I believe it's fair considering consoles are usually a few years behind.
  7. See, here's the thing. Even if I do find a thread, it may only scratch the surface of what can be accomplished. For example, not long after posting, I got an e-mail from a user "MagicKnight" who creates his own really quality mods for the Atari 400. Most of the time, I wouldn't find things like this or wouldn't know of them unless I was on AtariAge. This is why I ask, because I might not know.
  8. OK.. So the problem with these is that although I can find information on the video output, I'd also like to have the sound output as well. Are there any tutorials for that?
  9. Looking for parts lists and "How To's". Any info would be great! SG
  10. Hi Everyone, Had a thought for the last few weeks while viewing videos on old videogames/computer games. It seems like the trend in computing is that computers tend to be more powerful than the game consoles on the market at the time of their release. Many times, computers are a few years ahead. An example of this would be the 16-bit Atari ST/Amiga released in 1985 vs the 16 bit game consoles that came out in late 80's/early 1990's. Which brings me to my question.. Which of the two would be more powerful and more capable; An Atari 400/800 with 48K of base memory or a NES?

Still, it will be a fun unit to play with. Is there a way I can run homebrew code on the Toshiba model?

  17. Got desperate to play 2600 games. So I permanently soldered a plug to my 7800. Then I hot glued the horribly broken case back together. It looks horrible, but it plays... Pitfall anyone? ;-)

Here's what happened. I got a 7800 not too long ago with an Atari 400. The unit was in really bad shape. I didn't have a plug to test it, so I cannibalized a Sega Genesis plug to see if it worked. The unit fired up, everything was OK. I decided that I should get a plug closer to the right amperage. I got a plug today at a thrift stora and permanently soldered it to the Atari 7800 board.

  18. Hi Everyone, I'd like to learn how game controllers work and to possibly build a board for my own controller as a first project. It would just be on a breadboard for now. Just curious, I know that the 7800 and 2600 controllers are 1 or two buttons. Is there a way I can create my own controller with say, 6 buttons + DPad, that could have all buttons recognized by the A800/A400? Would all of this be done via software in the programs that I write?

  20. Can someone explain this to me? I'm still learning about all of this.
  21. Sounds interesting enough. I have many projects right now, but this has been added to the list. I love the 400, it feels more like a game console than a computer.
  22. I've always wanted an Arcade machine.. These are the ones I've wanted.. Area 51 TMNT The Arcade game Xmen The Arcade Game Marvel vs Capcom 2 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and or Mortal Kombat 3
