  1. Surprisingly holding up pretty well - I have one that my uncle had as a kid, not quite sure the date, but that one, the cover came off.. We never bought the newer ones which tried to be hip and what-not.. The old ones were definitely the best..
  2. We have at least 60 of the Hardy Boys books, quite a few from when I was a kid. Both my older sons enjoyed them a lot. Well actually my oldest did and continued to buy more of them. We found a dozen or so at an antique shop in Morgantown(right off the turn-pike). Not quite sure we want to part with them though, since my 2 year old might eventually want to read them.. I distinctly remember reading that book in one day at a camping trip in Tennessee lol
  3. oh shit, nice machine I want it.. will get back to you..
  4. I still maintain that the first Madden for the PC/Mac was the best version ever..
  5. You text-typers are all the same.. time to move up and get into the new point n' click graphical adventures - Sierra and Lucas Arts have some really fabulous games..
  6. Stampede is quite the under-rated game. It's a wonderful "juggling" type game with a neat risk/reward system.. You try not to let the cattle get past your cowboy(3 and your done) all the while lassoing cattle in a pattern, in that you can get to one side or the other quickly to not lose any. The risk/reward would be deciding to lasso cattle(which opens up quicker cattle in their spot) or just bouncing them back up the range. great game!
  7. Interesting things to consider.. thanks for putting that together I find win95 worked a bit better for the PCs I've been using; p133's and a p166, than win98se.. maybe it's just me, but win98 seemed to be a hog in each instance and things seemed to run slower.. I still have my 386 15Mhz in the basement and one day will fire it back up and see what the heck I have on it.. dreading the whole configuring the ram thing though.. haven't tried DOSbox yet
  8. Excellent games picked thus far.. Definitely any Football game feels "right" this time of year..
  9. Nice collection there, man
  10. Man I would love to have the Berzerk robot to put next to my Berzerk Arcade Cab. And I can think of a few others I would like also. -Tim Here's what it looked like(amongst others)
  11. I'm still pissed being late to Philly Classic a few years back and missing the Atari Superman and the Robot from Berserk - these 2 look wonderful, just not my cup o' tea..
  12. I had found the dot and deducted that it was a random object that was supposed to make the room blink when too many objects were in there, since the chalice could often be found there as well.. I remember bringing the dot around and thinking it was just useless, because it really didn't interact with anything.. It's highly doubtful that I stumbled into Warren's name by accident, but I can't recall how we learned how to do so..
  13. For me it was definitely the sports games. Even back then as a kid, I realized the controller for the Inty was awkward for action games, but wonderful for sports. My buddy had an Inty, and damned if I wasn't chasing his older sister around, I was playing Baseball and Football..
  14. funny.. I found myself whistling the Skateboardin' tune a few days ago in Home Depot.. gotta love how songs like that just pop into your head..
  15. I've been searching for a nice Frogger machine - nice find! envy..
  16. The only real thing that burns me with Nintendo is how they bastardize most every franchise to a point of over saturation so much so, where it's just not fun for me. I saw it fester greatly on the N64 and it seems par for the course now. I guess the frustration with "fanboys" is how it's perceived they just lap it all up regardless. Personally I don't have a problem with them, simply because if that's how they enjoy it, fine, though it's not for me. Though, there is a little bit of me that thinks that Nintendo would give more bang for the buck in their games, if there wasn't a blind following, but that's just a little bit That being said, I'm a bit stoked for the Wii..
  17. If I were you I'd ask the seller since he tested them..
  18. No offense to TAT, it's a wonderful magazine, but with the traffic that The Underdogs generates, I'm sure people would pay dearly(much more than current rates) for the domain name..
  19. Depends on the material - Is that vinyl? canvas?
  20. If things fall through on those 2 nomads, I'd be interested in seeing the Dreamcast collection.. I have a very nice Nomad, nice screen, and sound.. comes with the rechargeable battery pack(which still holds a charge for about 2 hours), the regular battery pack, a/c pack, and wires to hook it up to your TV should you desire.. It's really a fun system, but with the PSP and SP I have, there's no need to play it so it sits in my closet untouched..
  21. They now have 10 year olds conducting interviews over at Game Informer?
  22. "Look honey, I've scheduled a little culture for us and the kids this vacation" "Oh that's great, finally a break from the arcades and video game shops here in NYC, what's the museum called?" "American Museum of the Moving Image" "That sounds lovely, I'll pack a lunch"
  23. I'd certainly recommend PGA Tour 1+2 for the Genny - wonderful golf games.. If you have a PSP you have to get Hotshot Golf.. top notch game as well
