Arrgh sorry man, no such luck. I found a pizza pan with a bunch of tiny holes in it but no markings. Although I have my wife on the case and she's actually heard of it. Will report back if I find something.

Any websites dedicated to old handheld ball-bearing games?
maibock replied to Cootster's topic in Classic Console Discussion
lol Oh man nice stuff!! When I was young our family vacation every summer was a drive from Philly down to Mississippi to vist Grandma and cousins. My mom used to get us all this stuff to play on the way down. I was the only one who really liked them(my brother would read Hardy Boys the entire trip). I know I have a box full of those somewhere in our attic. My favorite was a moto-cross one where you wound up game and as it moved you had to dodge other cycles coming at you. Some of those on that webpage look very familiar. Thanks! -
"Hot Heels"? Was this some sort of "light a match under the foot" type game that I missed?

Hmm I wonder if you can convert that into a cigar dispenser?

Quater Suckers/Sucky Games What Pissed You OFF!
maibock replied to ussexplorer's topic in Arcade and Pinball
In college, my roommate and I would would feed rolls and rolls of quarters into Ikari Warriors - we did finally beat the game. I recall playing some bad games, but just can't recall the names. -
My first one broke sometime before I went to college in '84. In '85 I bought an Atari Jr in a drug store with a few games RS Boxing comes to mind. I then brought all my old games down from home. What a blast that was. I recall it getting hit with an errant football and beer spilled on it. It survived college and went away for about 5 years. Marriage and 2 children later, I dragged it back out and it has endured plenty of fun filled abuse from the kids and their friends. It's still hooked up to the basement TV today

I'm thinking about it, but wifey is hinting(strongly) that she'd like to go out for dinner Saturday for her birthday. So, it would be a goose chase to drive out and back and be ready for dinner. Plus I'm going to the Eagles game Sunday and well, that would be additional time away from the family. I still might go though

Good story! I enjoy hearing how people aquire things like this, since it gives me ideas on how to look for similar things. Thanks for sharing and congrats -

Nice! I'd love to have that Bagman game So do we get to hear the story of how these came to be yours? Why does the Bagman look much smaller than the Final Fight? I've never noticed Bagman being a small arcade or is it that the Final Fight is that much bigger? -
That is nice! Where would one find a never opened atari? I just can't fathom the thought.

I really wanted to go to this auction but it was way too hectic this weekend. The prices do indeed look much more better than the one I went to last week. I'll catch one of these one day. Thanks for the list!

FireWorld Atari Club Shirt + RUBIK'S CUBE!

lol Nice mix of products I'm sure the women buying the lip gloss are giving the same odd look at the atari carts -
Where in Joisey?
-
Well, I came back empty handed, but a wealth of information was stored in my head. The turnout was a LOT more than I or even the auction people expected. Just about every item seemed to go much higher than I anticipated. Not sure if it was the auction or perhaps my assessments were off, but a beat up Ms Pacman went for $1,200. Both Galagas went for $900 each and the cabinets were in bad shape(very worn with cigarrette burn marks). I don't recall anything going less than $400. I pretty much convinced myself that perhaps going with a Mame cabinet might not be a bad idea for a first purchase and then get the cabinets I want as they come along. Thanks again for the info.

How many of you use only 1970's - 80's era controllers?
maibock replied to Adrian M's topic in Atari 2600
Sigh... The 2600 isn't perfect, you know. BTW, if you don't wanna get banned, you better wise up. Some people... banned? wtf? Did you actually read his post? -
I remember IRC about 10 years ago was nothing but white letters on a black background - I kind of like it

To me it's just not playing Atari without the original sticks -
Ding! wow and here I thought "Gallaga" was a typo on their sheet - I'll definitely check this out when I see it. Thanks, man
