  1. Both my kids have a GBA and I try to stay clear of them, since I'm thoroughly(and biasly) convinced that a Sega Nomad is a much better system than a GBA Regardless of my opinions, let me reflect upon what took place yesterday afternoon. My younger son, was over at a buddy's house for a few hours and came back with a borrowed game. It was Madden 2004 for the GBA. Being a fan of Madden and owning a boatload of Madden titles, I decided to try it out and I was quite surprised. It looked like an exact rip off of one of the earlier Madden games. I'm guessing Madden '95, but I really need to check each year to make sure. Only the rosters and the team logos seemed to be the only things updated. This is just amazing to me. Are most of the GBA titles just ports of other console games?
  2. wow! nice! Way to step it up a notch
  3. on Retro Gaming Radio this month http://www.retrogamingradio.com/theshow/li...n.php?current=1
  4. nice pics! How the hell did anyone get any work done?!?
  5. Baseball Stars is a pretty phenominal game even compared to some of the recent Genny games I aquired(10). Even though the graphics are a bit "campy" and there aren't any pro teams or players, the game play is just close the perfect for a basball game IMO. and yeah Kepone, it's for the NES
  6. When I was in the market, I saw them on ebay go from $60 all the way up over $120 and of course, it all depends on what's included. If you're planning on using it without the a/c adapter, I definitely recommend finding one with the rechargable battery pack. I'm finding the one that came with mine lasts between 2 1/2 - 3 hours. It's great for the kids(and dad) for long trips. After it runs down power it up with the A/C adapter overnight and you're ready to go the next day. I got real lucky with mine since I believe the photo she had on ebay made it looked like the unit was "sun faded". All in all, I guess you should be around $80 with the A/C adapter and the rechargable battery pack(don't get this confused with the normal battery pack)
  7. I'm trying to get every Genesis sports game, then I could move from there either getting more Genny games or getting other system sports games. Yeah I think I'll do the latter, get more sports games.
  8. look at the poor guitar left out in the cold
  9. And I was feeling guilty for winning and item and paypal'ing the guy the next afternoon, because my work email was down most of the day. (didn't know I could wait weeks to pay ) Have faith, I'm one of those nO0b ebayers and try to pay right away. I actually wait until the bidding is over, and if I've one, I email the person to let them know how and when I'll be paying.
  10. Ahhhh.. So that's what the "mode" button is for. Any other uses?
  11. the Genny is starting to become my #1 console (at least at the moment) For me, it's the right balance between graphics, ease of play, and sheer game play.
  12. good suggestion! I played Spinball last night and it was pretty cool..
  13. I recently bought a Sega Nomad and finally getting a good idea of which games are good with it and conversely, which aren't working too well. Goblin asked this question in the marketplace and I thought it would be better to be asked and answered here.. so : I'm having a rough time playing the Madden Football series, but surprisingly Tecmo Superbowl plays pretty good. Also, I'm really enjoying Triple Play '96 a lot more on the Nomad. In the same sense, I'm enjoying Double Dragon a lot better as well, since on the TV it looks "grainy" but on the small screen it looks pretty decent.
  14. Considering that you can play the Nomad on a TV, it shouldn't be that awkward. Just thought it would be kind of cool if you can. Speaking of awkward, ever try to play 2 player on the Nomad? My neck still hurts...
  15. I'd be interested in helping out. Due to a busy summer schedule, I won't be able to participate until sometime in the fall. Sounds like a good idea!
  16. oh wow! I just got the game(in 2 days!!) and here's the kicker - I open up the box which was packed real good and the Nomad had some scratches on the screen - I thought, well this is normal I guess, and then I notice an air bubble. It turns out it's the thin plastic lining to protect the screen!! How could shes have played this with that plastic layer on it. So I peel back the plastic and the screen is perfect! happy happy!
