  1. Sorry to bump this, but I am currently circling some eBay Nomad auctions and am curious as to what one should be worth. If it has the system, power supply, battery pack (working) and a new screen for instance.

    Just some ball park figures.

When I was in the market, I saw them on ebay go from $60 all the way up over $120 and of course, it all depends on what's included. If you're planning on using it without the a/c adapter, I definitely recommend finding one with the rechargable battery pack. I'm finding the one that came with mine lasts between 2 1/2 - 3 hours. It's great for the kids(and dad) for long trips. After it runs down power it up with the A/C adapter overnight and you're ready to go the next day.

I got real lucky with mine since I believe the photo she had on ebay made it looked like the unit was "sun faded". All in all, I guess you should be around $80 with the A/C adapter and the rechargable battery pack(don't get this confused with the normal battery pack)

  2. And I was feeling guilty for winning and item and paypal'ing the guy the next afternoon, because my work email was down most of the day. (didn't know I could wait weeks to pay ;) )

Have faith, I'm one of those nO0b ebayers and try to pay right away. I actually wait until the bidding is over, and if I've one, I email the person to let them know how and when I'll be paying.

  3. I recently bought a Sega Nomad and finally getting a good idea of which games are good with it and conversely, which aren't working too well. Goblin asked this question in the marketplace and I thought it would be better to be asked and answered here.. so :

Goblin - "Has anybody actually sat down and figured out which games look the best on one of these. I'm finding some games play great, but due to text size, character size, or speed make it difficult to play on the tiny screen."

I'm having a rough time playing the Madden Football series, but surprisingly Tecmo Superbowl plays pretty good. Also, I'm really enjoying Triple Play '96 a lot more on the Nomad. In the same sense, I'm enjoying Double Dragon a lot better as well, since on the TV it looks "grainy" but on the small screen it looks pretty decent.

    :ponder:

  4. oh wow! I just got the game(in 2 days!!) and here's the kicker - I open up the box which was packed real good and the Nomad had some scratches on the screen - I thought, well this is normal I guess, and then I notice an air bubble. It turns out it's the thin plastic lining to protect the screen!! How could shes have played this with that plastic layer on it. So I peel back the plastic and the screen is perfect! happy happy! :D
