You are probably right, come to think of it, I haven't played a whole season on my real NES in a couple of years, usually I stick to 2 player exhibition games. I have mostly played seasons on emulators and I've also been using updated rosters and team attributes. Have you seen these pages?http://www.sportplanet.com/tsb/
This game will never die

oh man! You can play TSB over the internet?!? wtf? This is great! Anyone want to play? Which emulator does it work on? crap and I have a busy day here at work

, once you get the hang of defense with your team, you can score at will and hold the opponent down. I think this game really shines 2-player though
But I probably have been playing too long, I don't really remember my first impressions of the game from 1989 except that Lawerence Taylor was 10 times faster than any other player in the game

yeah I can win big in preseason mode, but it just seems my guys have gotten a bit slower as the season progresses. Maybe it's just me. I almost lost to the Cardinals this morning! My guys are definitely a bit slow footed lately. Hopefully they can get rested for the playoffs. Hmm maybe I'll try to bench a few guys for the last few games?
Yeah and Lawrence Taylor still flies! lol

Why does Frogger always seem to sell in excess of what one might think it's rarity would command?because of idiots like me, who don't know any better, but want a particular game for a nonsensical reason

I'm going through another season with my Eagles and I must say that I think the teams get harder as you move along. I almost lost in week 10 against the Browns!
I'm 10-2 with the Eagles and it seems to play much harder than the preseason games, anyone else notice this? or is it just me?
Another question, It seems like all the players are represented except for Randall Cunningham who is known as "Eagles QB" and I think Jim Kelly for the Bills is missing as well. Was this a licensing thing? Contract dispute? any ideas?

c'mon man, help me out here

You could at least made up some official Nintendo press release letter stating that in fact it is the same sound. You could have dreamed up some sort of conspiracy. It doesn't have to look that realistic, we're dealing with a 10 year old

-
Umm besides the poor grammar and the obnoxious typing in caps, do you think he's legit? I've been looking for a few 2600 consoles, since my 2600jr is starting to act up.

-
I suspect that the basketball "dibbling" sound in the 2600 "Basketball" is the same in the NES "Hoops" game. My quite naive 10 year old disagrees. What do you think?

hey Paul, How's your site coming along? I've been checking it out periodically.. Still working on content?

awesome, thanks!
It was the Marvel Super Heroes
-
I stopped by a garage sale Saturday with the kids looking for games and such when I noticed a cabinet in the back of the garage. I asked the guy if it was for sale and he said, "Well I was thinking about selling it to make room"
It was a "Marvel" machine but I can't recall the rest of the title(Marvel Heroes, maybe?). Is there a list on a site somewhere so I can identify the machine?
Also, he had mentioned that it was at his company that he worked for and they were selling it for $1,200, but nobody wanted it it so he offered $600 and bought it. He reports that the game did work until they moved it to his house and now it turnes on but there's no picture. I noticed the "insert coin" line burned into the screen, so it does need a new monitor. Everything else looks pretty clean and intact.
He had also mentioned there were 2 other games which can be plugged into the unit to play(can't recall which ones).
This is my first cabinet and I'm not quite sure what to look for. any ideas? I'm thinking about offereing $300.00 or would that be insulting? Should I offer more? less?
Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

cool! now where are my parachute pants?!
I remember faithfully going to "Aladdin's Castle" in the mall with my buddies each weekend. This was pretty close.

We don't even really assign "good" and "evil" to anything - heck, for all you know, the player is the bad guy, trying to confine that poor little Qix.lol

Yeah, I'd slash his tires if I were you. Some people! yeeesh.

that helped a bit thanks for the tips!

A short list guide to classic games of all consoles you should buy.
For example:
My wife dragged me to a flea market today after work. Yeah there's the normal guy who has a shop there with inflated prices. Granted he's amusing to talk to, he just prices everything ebay style.
Well there was an outside temporary booth with a guy who had "computer games" and I bought about ten 2600 carts for a buck a piece of which I didn't have. What he also had were 5200,7800 and some atari computer games all for 2.50 each. Now if I had known what was common or bettter yet, what people would want, I'd buy them for people, but I have no clue what's a decent deal or not.
He had NES stuff(bought a Link II game for a buck and it was shiny gold) genesis stuff(bought a madden 92' which year I needed to complete my Madden collection) for a buck. He had SNES games PS1 games, but again I had no clue what was worth getting or not.
Would be cool if I had a list of maybe rare games and up and what would be a steal. I'd rather get them for you guys than have someone else get them.

seriously,as much as i want to, its hard to find 22 random people that would be willing to let people hit the shit out of them to play football withhaha so true
-
complacency begets animosity

-
haha Nice job! can you also make it a self-sufficient portable unit?

-
I must put a plea in for the sports titles. If you're remotely into sportsgames, pick up some of the classics like Madden Football - EA's NHL series. They are quite campy and fun to play!

-
good job guys

hmmm I got a hammock. The kids proceeded to lay in it all day playing their GBA's while I did yard work. Something doesn't seem right
