Thanks for all the repiles so far. You know they all work the same right? You can use any of them for Big Bird's Egg Catch.
-
Now, make my mind pretend to be a teenager again, and map out the levels.

How about a Kickstarter project - Pitfall 3?
Pioneer4x4 replied to Byte Knight's topic in Atari 2600
I think it is two fold 1 - The name recognition, looking at a new game and seeing your name on it and thinking "Isn't he the Pitfall! guy, he is good, I'll try it" 2 - Like others mentioned, seeing 1 persons name as being the author made it more real. It was an actual creation by someone with a name made it more interesting. As for the achievements, I still have a box with b&w photos of the tv with my activision scores I developed myself in the sink. When I first got a 360 6 years ago, I immediately though of that box. -
Yeah, if you didn't have them $19 for 14 new carts is a good deal. Nothing earth shattering there, but not all pac man, asteroids, et and berzerk either.

WHoo Hoo I got through the first level. The sounds are excellent. I like the tinkling sound the diamonds make when the fall.
-
DOH, RTFM!!! In my defense, I did just stick it in real quick to try it out... Works perfect set correctly, thanks.
-
Most of the originals, try Combat.
-
LOL, bennybingo posted the same thing as I was typing. And to clarify The trademark screen is OK, and looks great Same with the AtariAge screen The boulder dash with the music is the part that rolls.

I fired mine up for 1 min of game play, just to be sure it works. I will have to try it for real when I get a chance. The good - just about everything, sound, graphics, gameplay. The bad - Title screen rolls on my tv I tested it on (9" portable with DVD player) I don't think anything else I have rolls on it. The ugly - I suck at this game, need more patience!
-
Yep, search iTunes store for Atari and several things are free! Thanks!

That is a great idea! I think the top 9 in order are eairtonsl which can spell atari...

I know it would take some serious time, but have you tried each level several times? I wonder if there really is that much more to the higher levels. It would be neat to get a chess rating for each level. If you could wild guess, that would help. I used to know someone in expert or master ranking, and he easily handed me my butt every time, but he did concede that I did not suck either.

I have all 3

Just curious how many people have which controllers (if any)
-
Well, I ordered one from eBay, should be in soon. I worked up basic designs for the 3 different 12 button controllers. Once it comes, I'll see how well it cuts and what all I can cut on. Hopefully something durable enough that handling doesn't wear them out. Cardstock might be OK if laser printed. Also I need to ensure I can print on it, and cut after, keeping everything aligned. What overlay would be the most needed? I assume the Video Touch Pad is most common since everyone has Star Raiders, and the ones for Basic Programming are the rarest, and the Kids Controller is in the middle?

Correct. I cannot imagine approving re-release in any form. This is your one and only chance to get this title. I think Pioneer4x4 just meant the manual. Correct, I was wondering if it would be in the AA database including the manual. I think at least the part that chronicles the process of making and getting it approved should be made public.

1 - Thank you for even replying to this forum! 2 - Thank you for Pitfall! That was a ton of enjoyment back in the 80s. 3 - The wise sage Sean Connery said it so well, "Never Say Never" -
I like it so far, but I do admit, I haven't tried it yet! I liked the packaging, and artwork, and read a lot of the manual. It has very good info on it. Will it be online on AA?

I neve noticed that $ went below, and probably isn't needed as well as Q depending on the font. and the punctuation doesn't count to me as for g j p q y, basically I can't count. (I forgot g & y!)
-
That looks really good, but are you burning an entire row of pixels just for 3 characters with descenders?
-
I opened mine by using a flat skewer under the flap, and moved it so it would release the tab, worked great!
-
Got mine too, just wanted to say, Hopefully I will test it out later today!
-
Yep, put a real CRT IN the wall, make it flush mount. I am considering this for my basement build, make a storage closet behind the TV location, and flush mount it in.
-
It is a free copy of Star Castle, isn't it?
-
I guess we just need to do this
