Well I tested the 36" Sony WEGA and typed it all up, I guess I never posted it. I remember it was 220 in the middle for just about any total count. I can re-test tomorrow. Odd thing was, it would only show in black and white, even the Harmony menu and any ROM I tried.

Wanted Atari SC1435 crt monitor or the swivel stand (pedestal) alone
Pioneer4x4 replied to sztojanov's topic in Wanted
That looks a lot like what Compaq monitors used about 2000 or so, maybe something else is compatible -
I ran the 1.2 My results (NTSC Memorex 9" DVD Combo): (FWIW, it is rock steady even at 257) Cold - NTSC: 27, 216, 19 with seeing Warm - NTSC: 27, 217, 18 (at the 80) The lowest it will go without rolling is 17 204 04 The highest is 45 211 40 The most lines in the center I could get seems to be 19 220 11 FWIW Warm - NTSC 28 218 18 All were with just ½ a pixel cut off top left and bottom right, so assuming it was straight, maybe 1 less on either end and perfect.

That was probably me, I made a cart to control the R.O.B. a few years back. I have just signed on for the first time in a looonnngg time, and will be releasing the .bin and probably the source code as well. Yes, it flashes the screen light and dark in a patter the R.O.B. is programmed to recognize. I think that it requires a CRT as well, I have different TVs now compared to when I first made it, but I will test later this week. FWIW, here is my original thread http://atariage.com/forums/topic/190214-i-got-my-atari-to-control-my-nintendo-rob-robot/

I always liked both the music and use of the music for gameplay information in CBS Mountain King.

My results (NTSC Memorex 9" DVD Combo): (FWIW, it is rock steady even at 257) Cold - NTSC: 28, 215, 19 (but really if you ignore the top left and bottom right corner 27 217 18) Warm - NTSC: 27, 217, 18 (but really if you ignore the top left and bottom right corner 26 218 18) I think the tube is a smidge clockwise in the cabinet. Testing on my behemoth 36" WEGA will have to wait a bit, maybe later today or tomorrow.

I have been off of AtariAge for years, and got sucked back in today when I saw that a Atari Flashback Portable is available with SD card. I have a Harmony cart and will see if I can get it setup today/tomorrow. The only CRT TVs I have left are my 9" DVD combo, and my 250 lb Sony WEGA 36" which has not seen power in years. Do you care which Atari I test with? I pretty much 1 of every, 4sw, 6sw (heavy and light), Jr, 7800...

I skimmed your code and I see several references to the patter for init and reset, but nothing else. the 0s should be off, and the 1s should be on, with the same rate as the screen refresh rate on the atari. Basically from what I remember it was paint the screen black and do a drawscreen in bbasic, the change to white and drawscreen for 1. Is that 30 or 60hz, I forget. I still have my source code I said I would release back in 2011 if anyone is interested, or has it already been dumped and released?

I got my Atari to control my Nintendo R.O.B. Robot!
Pioneer4x4 replied to Pioneer4x4's topic in Atari 2600
If you mean from the picture on the label, that is a small gum holder. It was for "Atari Gum". It is a tin box with plastic stick on it (the gum is like chiclets). I have 1 unopened I was saving for a special package. I got it at 5 Below a couple of years ago. -

I haven't been on this site in months, I went on a couple of long vacations and never got back into reading the forums. Thanks for the messages and continued interest, and I guess I will have to get back into it and finish the 2nd batch. I remember I did make up some Instruction manuals to include. -
I checked mine and it has the expansion port and serial number AT8414570, sweet! I knew I used the supercharger on it.

Yes, I was. (Snicker, snicker)

Very nice, but you forgot 1, and need to start all over.

Hmm, is it documented on which 7800s work OK?

I am so glad that bBasic exists. After a little putzing and years of reading about it. I am fairly confident, I could write something that functions on a 2600 in assembly. I have no "desire" to do that. bBasic allowed me to create working applications that run on a real 2600, that I never would have bothered getting a kernel running to do. All of my time is on the specific things that I personally wanted to do. I did have to learn a smidgeon of asm and how to use it in bBasic to be able to read the keypad controllers, and that was fun as well. To me, it is all about fun, and in my spare time. I feel that there are 4 critical components are equally needed for me to get something working. As for quality of game or app... That is all up to the designer, what is the goal, and does the result meet the goal. harmony cart bBasic Stella AtariAge community

test plug for diagnostics?

One thing I didn't see mentioned, did you go from 32 bit to 64 bit windows? If so, you may want to put 32 bit Win7 on for more compatability.

I don't like that I have to pay for other people to ride public transport.

I got my Atari to control my Nintendo R.O.B. Robot!

My plan has always been to sell the 2 batches, then release the rom and source code, and see if Al wants to make it available via the AtariAge store. -
Non-Tendo R.O.B. carts ready for sale

Only that I let it slide to long... And the article brought it back to my attention. I will finish the remaining 9-10 (with manual). -
How long will they be there?
