  1. The title comes from countless conversations with younger gamers who think most old 2600 games are terrible... almost like watching an old black & white movie when you didn't grow up with them. On this forum, we can't imagine anybody thinking that, but that's what the title is meant for. I still remember when my daughter (the same one from this thread http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/202339-my-daughters-8th-grade-teacher-brought-a-2600-vectrex-to-class/ ) said "Is that one of those gray movies? I don't like gray movies." They are so out of it now, they don't even KNOW OF the term "Black and White".
  2. I based Hunt n score on cx2642, so my next guess is Bowling
  3. Hunt and Score or Game of Concentration
  4. I'll through out Tax Evaders on a whim.
  5. I need to get my daughter to ask her teacher for more details, for sure! I was thoroughly entertained by the fact that her teacher brought it in, and my Daughter could help!
  6. I'll have to get the details again, but she said that her teacher brought some old technology in to science class, and 2 of the items were a 2600, and a Vectrex. The best part was she was able to help out the teacher having problems with the Vectrex! Teacher - "have you seen one of these before?" Daughter - "yes" Teacher - "do you know how to use it?" Daughter - "yes" Teacher - "is it you parents'?" Dayghter - "yes" LOL, I loved it.
  7. Sir, I thank you. I laughed, I cried, that was the BEST.
  8. Could be a genunine Atari adapter for some other product, but is still compatable with the 2600 line.
  9. CGA? 4 colors? I assume you meant CGI
  10. First, vacuum everything off with the bristly brush attachment, then go from there. That will help get the residue out from inside items as well that mere wiping off won't. If you can open up the item without any issues, do that as well. I once saw a PC where the lady set her ashtray in front of it and used the cabinet ventilation to suck the smoke away. It had a brown layer of "stuff" that was like a layer of brown cardboard colored felt on everything in the PC. The problem with it was it would not turn on from buildup of smoke stuff in the power switch!
  11. I still got nothing, rrghh
  12. Yeah, but if the supercharger fails... We still have Harmony!
  13. Yes, I had horrible lag, BUT that is intentionally part of the Hauppauge software. There is a setting to enable "LivePreview" that eliminates the lag, that I can't get to work, I am sure I will, I just need to find the right versions of software to run. There is a TON of registry setting to control those cards and a lot of 3rd party apps to mange the extra settings.
  14. My guess, very small. If it sells, it will be up to the buyer.
  15. .035oz is a gram I think, but that doesn't help me.
  16. I printed one from my original Stella gets a new brain CD, I need to redo it with better photo paper.
  17. What is the fish above the play area? It seems to reset at every screen. What happens if you stay on one screen for a long time? Personally it looks like it plays like a pitfall hack, without tunnels. I love the idea of this game, but doubt it is much fun.
  18. I have Windows 7 32 bit and it works fine. The channel setup is not very straightforward with them. They capture and hardware encode directly as mpg, typically DVD compliant. You define channels, that are not necessarily TV channels. Currently mine is Channel 1=Composite jacks Channel 2=Air Channel2 but any channel int the software can be any input source. The 350 has some nice hardware features, (maybe FM receiver as well)
  19. OK, I made progress. I haven't used this thing in years and need to relearn all the tricks. 1 - I need to get "Live Preview" mode working so I can actually play on the computer monitor in the capture window without delay of 2 seconds... 2 - I had the exact same picture, and ended up installing WINTV2000 OLD version of 4.7.x I putzed around and went into the channel editor, and turned off "AFT" and found that if I set my channel (2) to +20 I got a stable color picture. The quality blows, but it is at least color, and I will go from there. This is from a heavy 6 via the standard RF Coax into the PVR 150 card. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ownWIZWREF8&feature=youtu.be
  20. I used some software to grab what was on my computer screen while running it in Stella which explains why it was crystal clear and didn't show the flickering all that well. However this was before I knew about ALT-P in Stella. Next video I do, I'll be sure to have Phosphor (Alt-P) enabled. It makes it looks like it's not flickering. -Chris I was refferring to on my actual TV, and not a complaint, just a comment that it is noticable.
  21. I hope so to, I looked at that other thread as well. I have a tape from 1995 running now, maybe tomorrow.
