  2. We should support recycling. Ship one of our extra Combats, whenever a Homebrew is purchased. Actually, the most extras I have are Bezerk...
  3. With the nitches in the bottom corners, I was thinking controllers, and the cable would come out in the corner.
  4. I just posted it in the rarity guid tracker, I guss it can be deleted! Thanks. Also, I am enjoying going through the guide lately, what is the official/best way to report something incase I find another typo? You now know who Al is YES I DO!
  5. I just today completed Adventure on level for the first time ever! I never bothered to map out the hidden mazes, and I admit I used a map form the internet. What was a bummer was, I never killed any of the dragons. Damn bat took the sword, and I never found it. So that is a good example of the open endedness, you don't have to kill. (But I really did want to!)
  6. 581.0 I was down to 10 cars left, and wrecked near the end. RRGGHHH. And on my cart, I have a piece of masking tape with my high score back in the day, 9 days!

  8. Sky Diver is one of my favorites. Push the button to jump from the plane, then pull down to upen your parachute. Then steer left or right to land on the pad that matches your color. Watch the flag for wind direction and speed. The longer you free fall, the more points a landing is worth, up to a maximum of 11 points. I think you get -4 points for not opening your chute, and 0 if you land, but miss the pad. Great head to head game, especially on game 5 where only the first person on the middle pad get's any points.

  10. I was glad to just get a 6 switch. I'll probably hack it up (not aesthetically, just some improvements like jack for output signal instead of permanent wire, pause, maybe A/V mod) I didn't know what the sears carts would be with the missing end label, he thought they were football and baseball I think. I knew one wasn't because of the "Timed Games and Untimed Games". Either way, I knew I didn't have them in sears what ever they were. The worst thing was HOLY CRAP was Mt. Washington (Part of Pittsburgh, PA) crippled with the snow! All those narrow streets with parked cars. I almost bailed with no where to park.
  11. I figured it was a typo, but I honestly don't know who Al is! I just joined the forums a couple weeks ago.
  12. Has hole for channel switch, but none present.
  13. A good thing to try for jittery paddles is to simply turn them back and forth continiously. The wiper contact will usually clean itself off from the friction. Keep turning them for a minute or so, and try it. If you notice that they jitter in a certain area, just work on that portion or the rotation.
  14. http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=326 http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=1133 Both show Model #: 49-75114 in the description, but my cart and the images say Model #: 49-75119 Is this just a typo in the database?
  15. I just got one that looks like the one in post #123. I guess it is a Taiwan Heavy Sixer 0024129 I'll add pics soon.
  16. I know on other things I've tried to clean up, car wax can do wonders. It will remove loose particles, and protect what stays. Obviously test it out on something you can sacrifice, maybe the one that the alcohol ruined. I planned on trying that myself. I have high hopes for it working well.
  17. So you're from around the Pittsburgh area? I saw this on craigslist and felt $40 was a total rip-off. Yep, I picked it up. I got it, and 4 carts I didn't have for $35 total. He seemed like a nice guy, little second hand shop with a bunch of video game stuff in the back. Mainly a bunch of cool stuff but nothing that jumped out at me that I just had to have. It seems in nice shape. I'll clean it up and test it. It is a heavy sixer, no channel switch, label is MFG. BY ATARI INC., SUNNYVALE, CA. MADE IN TAIWAN S.N. T 0024129 C010922 The carts I picked up were. U.S. Games M.A.D. in real nice shape Sears Text Race (I have Indy 500) Sears Text Dodger Cars missing end label (I didn't have Dodge 'Em either) Sears Text Night Driver missing end label
  18. The funny thing is, the ad states $40, but in the text it said $20. They guy said it should be $40, but will meet me ½ way, so it is $30. He has other stuff, so I'll take a look. Once I break the $20 mark of a yuppie food stamp, I think differently.
  19. YAQ (Yet another question) Can batari basic be used to send data to port? I originally asked if the hardware could, but I guess I need to know if it is possible in batari basic. Otherwise, I'll give up and offer my idea to the masses.
  20. That is way more ambitios than what I was planning! I will need to try it out though.
  21. Man, I suck. I did some putzing with Batari Basic today. WOW I am lost. Like I have said, I am very familiar with basic, but the 2600 intricacies are incredible. And as for my idea with output, I saw some similar posts. Basically I want to have a multiplayer/multi console game with 2 2600s linked. I know that it is a horrible first project, but if it is possible, it should actually be a simple one. I did it on a TRS-80 back in 1982 over cassette port so I have a vague idea what I want to do. It will not be a "Arcade" game but more of a board game, so speed should not be an issue. Also, what is the practial resolution of the playfield? Everything seems so limited, but then when you see a game like Starpath's The Official Frogger as an example it seems that there is so much more you can do.
  22. I looked at the picture a little better, and I think it is a heavy! I know they run fine, but it is a pain toggeling the difficulty in the rear, and I hate not being able to see them! The edges look like a heavy right?
  23. One of my 7800 Pole Position II carts has BOTH labels upside down. It is one I bought new, and has always been that way. I hate it, I keep it in the tray upside down, so when I grab it the top label is visible. I recently got another and both labels are normal.
