I just got one that looks like the one in post #123.
I guess it is a Taiwan Heavy Sixer
0024129
I'll add pics soon.

Any tips?
I tried some alcohol on one - and took the print with it

I know on other things I've tried to clean up, car wax can do wonders. It will remove loose particles, and protect what stays.
Obviously test it out on something you can sacrifice, maybe the one that the alcohol ruined. I planned on trying that myself. I have high hopes for it working well.

So you're from around the Pittsburgh area? I saw this on craigslist and felt $40 was a total rip-off.The funny thing is, the ad states $40, but in the text it said $20. They guy said it should be $40, but will meet me ½ way, so it is $30. He has other stuff, so I'll take a look. Once I break the $20 mark of a yuppie food stamp, I think differently.
Yep, I picked it up. I got it, and 4 carts I didn't have for $35 total. He seemed like a nice guy, little second hand shop with a bunch of video game stuff in the back. Mainly a bunch of cool stuff but nothing that jumped out at me that I just had to have.
It seems in nice shape. I'll clean it up and test it.
It is a heavy sixer, no channel switch, label is
MFG. BY ATARI INC., SUNNYVALE, CA.
MADE IN TAIWAN
S.N. T 0024129 C010922
The carts I picked up were.
U.S. Games M.A.D. in real nice shape
Sears Text Race (I have Indy 500)
Sears Text Dodger Cars missing end label (I didn't have Dodge 'Em either)
Sears Text Night Driver missing end label

Sure, it could work in bB. It would be a matter of setting SWACNT appropriately and placing the code in vblank and doing reads and writes of SWCHA. Since the timing in bB couldn't be controlled by cycle counting as well, I'd use WSYNCs to keep the consoles synchronized. I could look into demo code someday - I would guess that you could exchange one byte each way if it were done carefully.OK I PM you about my idea?

YAQ (Yet another question) Can batari basic be used to send data to port? I originally asked if the hardware could, but I guess I need to know if it is possible in batari basic. Otherwise, I'll give up and offer my idea to the masses.
-
That is way more ambitios than what I was planning! I will need to try it out though.
-
Man, I suck. I did some putzing with Batari Basic today. WOW I am lost. Like I have said, I am very familiar with basic, but the 2600 intricacies are incredible. And as for my idea with output, I saw some similar posts. Basically I want to have a multiplayer/multi console game with 2 2600s linked. I know that it is a horrible first project, but if it is possible, it should actually be a simple one. I did it on a TRS-80 back in 1982 over cassette port so I have a vague idea what I want to do.
It will not be a "Arcade" game but more of a board game, so speed should not be an issue.
Also, what is the practial resolution of the playfield? Everything seems so limited, but then when you see a game like Starpath's The Official Frogger as an example it seems that there is so much more you can do.

Phaser Patrol will run fine on the Woody and the Vader, or you can wire a toggle switch across the 7800's pause switch to give that system the TV Type "capability".
That said, I think even a bare light sixer with no hookups or controllers is worth about $20 if it's in good shape.
EDIT: Want my honest advice? Save your money and buy a heavy sixer.
I looked at the picture a little better, and I think it is a heavy!
I know they run fine, but it is a pain toggeling the difficulty in the rear, and I hate not being able to see them!
The edges look like a heavy right?

One of my 7800 Pole Position II carts has BOTH labels upside down. It is one I bought new, and has always been that way. I hate it, I keep it in the tray upside down, so when I grab it the top label is visible. I recently got another and both labels are normal.
-
I already have a Jr, a 7800, a 4 switch woody and a vader. I mainly want a 6 switch for phasor patrol, and the look of it. But for $20 with non-original PS, 2 so-so joysticks and set of paddles, nothing else, I'm not sure I want it that bad. Apparently there is a shop near me that has some stuff like that. I need to check it out.

I suppose this is a PAL version...
At least it looks in quite good nick:
Wrong version I see.
I was going to say that! I did look, and it does loog good though!

I am a big fan of Sky Diver for head to head play.
I have never been able to get a 99 on it though, I always end up blowing it.
-
OK, I'll claim Scotland, or England, or G.B. or U.K.
-
By the rarity guide these are the only 2 7s I have.
Miner 2049'er Vol. II (pretty whooped label)
Stargunner
And my 6s are all Starpath/Arcadia tapes (Yes I said tapes!)
Frogger, The Official
Party Mix
Rabbit Transit
I've had all the Supercharger games since new, and the two at the top were in the lot I just got last week for $50.
Miner II seems pretty interesting, and I haven't tried Stargunner, it looks so-so.

With sellers and then buyers acting like that, it makes me glad that most of my games were bought "back in the day"
When I run into such people, my policy is simple: "We can get along, but we can't do business."
I agree %100! As for me, the money isn't the issue, sure I could buy maybe 50 or so I don't have without worring about it, but FINDING them, the hunt, the chase, the adventure...
But DAMN, I know there are scumbags out there, but with the stones (or total lack of shame) (or maybe just that stupid) (or all three) to flat out announce to the EXACT SAME PEOPLE that are likely to be interested in it, is too much for me to comprehend!

All I can think of is how unbelievably wrong of an attidue a human can have.
It comes down to.
1) Hey I bought something that I don't think is legit.
2) Did I get screwed, I think I did, so I'm ebaying it off to some other sucker.
3) WHAT, IT MIGHT BE LEGIT?? Ok, I'll keep it, and not let someone else have it.
-
Figures, both arguments. I guess if I plan to sell, I should leave it up to the purchaser. Since I just got a Harmony, I won't be handling it or looking at it much, so I might just leave it. maybe I'll make a new one and neatly tape it over the original. Also the end label is split at the seam, so I need to test it to confirm that it is legit, no shenanigans.
I tested it out today, worked fine on my 2600 Jr.
-
Who would have liked it as much if it was called "Find the Chalice" or something other than "Adventure". The name is PERFECT, it makes you think you are on an adventure, not just gaming.

that is a special edition that was made by atari for the italian community in NYC in the late seventies

if you're lucky you can either find some cash (from bank robberies) or a bad of weed/coke inside

Yeah, I got your video computer thing Right Here!

This is one of my rarer 2600 carts. Normally, I would make a label to replace a missing one, not a bad one. This one is pretty bad, should I leave it alone? Does anyone have a hi-res scan of the actual label? I have a kodak printer dock that prints digital photo prints by transfer and it puts a protective layer over the print making it very durable and waterproof. I might try using it for some labels I need. The scans on AtariAge are great for looking for information, but not detailed enough for printing.

Is the best I've found so far.

Rom Hunter, What does "Fixed" mean? Is it documented anywhere what was "Fixed"?You can read in this thread about what exactly has been fixed.
In my collection, it just marks an officially released, de-bugged version of the same game.

OK, thanks, I'll do more thorough searching.

I was just going through my collection of instructions.....
Almost all of the USA manuals have been scanned and Al has copies of them (although many have not been added to the site yet).
Here is what is missing.
WANTED USA SCANS
Exus-
Video Jogger/Video Reflex
Gamex-
X-Man
Simage-
Eli's Ladder
Ultravision-
Karate
If you can scan any of those, please do.
No, I do not have anything that dozens (or more) of what other members of this site already have. I have about 230 unique carts, and about 150 unique instrutions. And about 170 extra, dupe carts, maybe 120 unique titles.
