The list of Craig!

You are thinking of The Logical Song by Supertramp. I have always loved that part of the song. THAT IS IT!!! It was on the tip of my tongue (or should I say ears?) Thanks, I just launched it now from my iTunes! How appropriate, it starts off with "When I was young..." 1979, 9th - 10th grade. MAN I AM GETTING OLD.

I just got a box of carts plus a couple controllers for $50. I attached a picture of the lot, and am going through them now. I got a couple good ones, unfortunately many have bad to very bad labels. They were in an attic for 25 years. Some look VERY good, mainly some atari and sears ones. This is a list of what I got that I did not already have. Atari 7800 games: Super Skateboarding Kung-Fu Master Food Fight Crack'Ed, 2600 Games: DragonFire Gangster Alley Miner 2049er Vol.II Stargunner Frostbite SummerGames Airlock OuterSpace StarRaiders TheEarthDiesScreaming StarTrek CanyonBomber

Yep, tried that. I guess I should clarify. It does run, but I get the access denied opening the drive letter. I haven't tried it since my last post. If I had them sorted in Windows and just copied the enitre folder structure at once, they went on in correct order. SO I haven't needed to mess with it yet.

I know there is a song with the mattel handheld footbal game sounds in it, but the name eluded me.

Yes, the point totals get reset every time a new season starts. We are now 25 weeks into the 7th season. I "joined" near the end of season 4 (around week 50-something). The seasons seem to vary in length. Below is how long each of the past seasons have run. Season 1: 38 weeks Season 2: 26 weeks Season 3: 37 weeks Season 4: 70 weeks Season 5: 50 weeks Season 6: 50 weeks OK, great! And I suck at Pac-Man, bummer...

I originally did not like the cycling, but only a little. I have since brightened up TV and increased the contrast, mainly for Phasor Patrol to see the shield effect correctly. Black is still black, and the mennu looks much better. I am starting to appreciate it more. The funny thing is I was playing last night, my wife was relaxing, and I was showing my daughter how to use it, and my wife asked "Why is everything moving?"
-
I brightened up the tv and upped the contrast, and all is well, thanks!

I'm going through old treads, and saw this. My biggest memory was back in the 80s when I got the Supercharger stuff, and seeing "The Mindmaster has declared you to be awesome"
-
That is my main complaint with WICO sticks.

ARe the standings ever gong to be reset? Maybe every year, every season... With noobs like me to the site, it would be more interesting. Still keep an all time, but to have "This Winter's Champion!" or "Summer HSC 2010" added to you signature would be cool.

I have the original Stella Gets a New Brain CD, and it included previously unreleased "Polo". Since that CD was a specific number of copies, and licensed/permission given to release it. So is it still considered "Prototype"? I am interested in as much as I can find out about the original run of the CD. I have long lost the emails I had from the late 1990s. And back then I got most of my info from the R.G.V.C newsgroup. Also My CD is numbered "010" with a paint pen. And has "Do what thou wilt..." on it also. I was wondering why it was numbered like that, and if being #010, if that meant anything value wise. I was extremely proud and excited to have obtained back then.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "Flying Particles" act like graphite. If the tape is uber clean, it would have more stiction.

Calling all Gashog and Spectravision/video owners

That cart is IDENTICAL to the one I got in the mail today! What are the odds? Mine was loose though, also no "C" -
Pretty cool, I like how it is labeled when end the controller goes in! How could you screw that up?
-
Thanks, I'll give them both a shot.

Yes, I just tested it to make sure, and it works fine with no file extension. Problem solved! I was going to ask that, that sounds like a perfect solution to me! And if a certain rom requires an extension for a specific bankswitching, then add it, and it will be displayed. I will use flash renamer to remove all the .bin extensions. Now if I can just get drivesort to work on my Vista PC... Maybe I'll try a card reader in my XP machine.

What are the two-player only Atari 2600 games?
Pioneer4x4 replied to Random Terrain's topic in Atari 2600
Nope, but Slot Racers and Sky Diver are. Sky Diver is my favorite game for quick and dirty head to head play. It gets the most play when I fire up the Atari's for my kids. -
But the extension can be used if automatic bankswitch detection fails. I would like to see the extension then. Maybe it should be hidden except if it a valid bankswitch extension? How about this, hidden on main screen, shown when button held for full description? I think that would be ideal for me, but I have NO IDEA on how it works, or how hard changes are to be implemented, assuming they are possible.

I tried it for the first time over the weekend thanks to my Harmony cart arriving Saturday, and only got 4000-5000. I couldn't get in the zone with it, I will definitely add that to my rotation to try more. I just got to level 3 I think where you have to go bottom to top. Then I gave up and played Rabbit Transit instead

Starpath Supercharger games on the Harmony cart
Pioneer4x4 replied to save2600's topic in Harmony Cartridge
Remember Starpath games are also listed as "Arcadia" sometimes. -
I have been following this thread, and I feel that the color cycling menu detracts in a way the look of the menu. When you pause it , it is worse because some lines stay less readable, and others look great. Now for 2 disclaimers. 1) I'm expressing my opinion, and it is only a slight detraction, not enough to hinder, or diminish the harmony cart's menu. 2) From my other post about Phaser Patrol's grey shield effect not showing up, maybe my TV needs brightened or contrast reduced, and that might make the menu look better. As for another change I would request. Can the file extension not be displayed? I think that detracts more from the menu than the colors.

Did you try setting the compatibility mode to XP? Mitch Yes I did try that also. I created a shorcut and setup compatablity on it. Oh well...
