I'm not really familiar with the copy /b command. Look to see if it's 8192 bytes.

All that means is a binary copy. ANd yes check the byte size.

I don't think there is a reason to test a doubled rom on stella. It is probably trying to bank switch it when it shouldn't, since all over 4k are bankswitched in some way.

I don't understand how there is any way to even verify any of this. Especially since everything is much simpler to create now than in the past. Unless it has a unique molded case, that there is proof was commissioned back in the 1980s, or some actual proof from the original author that it is indeed one of the ones he made back then, they both could be modern fakes/reproductions/mockups, possibly by the same person which could be independent of the current owners of the 2 known carts.

I know I am being the ultimate skeptic, but I still see that possibility.

Please understand, I really hope they both are legit 1980s era, I really do.

Yep, if I was going to make a label, it would look better than existing ones as well! So both copies are near me, but not real near. Maybe I have hope!

First the rom must be 4k or less, or a supercharger rom. Then you can modify it to work.

And I love the 3" cds. I used to use the rectangular business card ones.

Aren't those micro-switches just off the shelf parts?

Not sure, I hope so. They would need the same through holes or some glue. They are a crappy design, not even 30 years old I bet and they failed already

Yes and no... Yes it would eliminate confusion, but no becuase it will eliminate delays. I say only start a new round If you are SURE you are correct. And refresh often before you guess or start a new one, to make sure someone else didn't post while you were thinking.

 

And no, mine is not Party Mix. My current clues are solely based on the artwork for a game.

And if I was wrong with Starpath Frogger... Sorry for jumping the gun.

Nope, it's shot. I opened up the microswitches and they have a brass contact that pops into contact and back. The spring part if it is broken off. If I happen to find replacements, I may try to fix it, but I doubt it.

I opened it up and found why the stick feels so wonky. It uses 4 microswitches and 2 of them are stuck in. I am going to see if they are repairable. The stick has a slab of steel in the handle to make it feel more substantial, good idea, but still feels light.

The stick itself pivots from the ball at the bottom, not a bad idea. I HATE those damn push nuts, hopefully I can kink one and screw it off.

I can't imagine using your thumb to fire on some games.

As good as the Atari Space Age ones look and feel quality wise, this one doesn't!

OK, I been cleaning up my Atari stash, and came across my Video Game Brain (I guess, it doesn't say it on it) Model RGA-1360.

Since there is many pages of info, is there a "sum it up in one post" to use the Harmony as a dumper with the Video Game Brain. If I recall I need to modify it first.

And has anything new happened with the Harmony as a dumper?

I also want to use it as a dumper to read back the carts I make myself, like a final verification that they are good.

Some time in the past I bought a pair of Atari Space Age Joysticks, I assume from eBay...

Anyway, included in the lot was a "Magnum by Mastertronic" joystick which is evern weirder.

Here is a link to someone elses picture of one, mine looks exactly like it. It is flimsy/cheap feeling, and I am sure does not work right.

Anyone else have one? I'll open it up to see what is wrong with it.
