Holy cow! I've never really played this game very much, and I doubt it'll become one of my favorites. The controls are pretty terrible!
This game use only 4 directions. So, when you want to go up or down the stairs you have to press up or down, not diagonal.
The punch could have being faster, when you're between 2 bottles it's very difficult to hit both. You have to move in the direction of one bottle and make sure you have time to turn around and punch the other. In the arcade version you can punch very fast ... but you can have 5-6 bottles moving in you direction at the same time.

I never used it but you can also have a look at the JPAC from Ultimarc.
More expensive but more options on it.

Congratulations to skosh.
Big Thanks to CParsley to hosting the contest.
I also would like to add that the contest should not be during the summer months.
And like RoadRunner mention, it need to be speed up ... maybe a 12 weeks for the console knockdown.
Something like eliminating an equal number of participants for the first 8 weeks, until 4 remains, then 1 per week.
If possible to have all the contest to end on the same week. Then a week of to decide what game will be played in the Grand Championship. Then the final round begins.
For the Grand championships, have so clear rules before the contest starts.
-End date
-Points
-maybe a rule that allows you to only update 2-3 of your scores in the final week to make sure that the scores are not posted just a few hours before the contest ends. (this is a rule added in the retrocade magazine contest ... it worked well)

Yes, I meant the stock disc controller.
No I play on an emulator on my custom arcade cabinet using an arcade controler.
I have the console, joystick and original controler but I'm missing a power supply. (Intellivision II model)
A friend gave me the first model but I haven't plugin in yet ... not sure if it's working.

My score: 5,500
That's a great score patbb. I just watched some of the video. Do you use the original disc?
By Disk, do you mean
-The disk controler?
-The original cart + console?
-The ROM version? 4K vs 8K

I want to join the Intellivision HSC too!
But I have a problem with my emulator.
It seems to work fine with .bin files but not with the .int .
How can I convert .int to .bin?
I'm using jzintv-1.0-beta on linux.
I think that you can just rename the file.

The thought in the Coleco Championships was using the harder skill level made the game end quicker, so you wouldn't be around forever in a game. I'm fine with whatever the group comes up with, but it should be determined soon to allow all to play on the same level.
I like skosh's idea to play on Expert so that games are shorter.
I like Expert too.
