    Edit: This is under Beginner level, last time this game was played in the HSC the skill level was Expert.

    What is the right setting to use for this game?

    Also, I have different version of the ROM file a1,a2,a3 and one without a version number.

    Anybody knows what's the difference is ... ?

    Ok. The level aft6er the tunnel seems impossible to me. There's these holes in the wall that you have to fly through. Maybe I will understand how to judge my altitude eventually. But right now, it's just a big crap shoot for me.

    What I do is shoot in the direction of the hole, if the laser goes on the other side of the wall , that's when I know that I'm at the right height.

    Also, to help me, I remembered what height to place my ship in advance ... at lease for the 3 or four first walls. (max, 2.5, 3.25, min, ...)

    Remember to never stop shooting, especially when you have to go very low, this way you will avoid hitting something on the ground.

     

    After this level you will have to face 3 bosses (looks like dragons)

    For this level I go at 2.75 "height" and shoot at the head (there is a bomb in his mouth).

    The bomb will be going into your direction after a few seconds, I think that you have to shoot at it several time to destroy it, so the sooner you can shoot at it the better.

     

    After that it starts from the begening be much harder.

    For the 5200, I'll go with Missile Command.

     

    I tied to play this game in an emulator and I was not able to control the crosshair.

    Probably because I'm not using a analog joystick.

     

    Anybody knows if there is an emulator that can work with the mouse?

    With the keyboard or joystick it's unplayable.

    Maybe it will work with a XBOX controller?

    I lost 8 men at level 5-4 ... See what happen in this video below ...

    You just have to jump off to your death at the first cube down right or left from the top (or every other one after that). The arcade always makes sure a green guy comes out every so often in those later levels so that doesn't happen. You can also keep a disc around but it has to be at the top or every other row down the side.

    Are you saying that if if kill my qbert by jumping from one of the lower corner that the color of one of the cube will change?

     

    I'm use to play the arcade version. I was waiting for the green guy but it took a while before he appears.

    And even after he changed the color, I was stuck in the same situation ... that's what I called bad luck!
