  1. I kind of remember there being something I didn't like about the tilting stuff, probably because I always played lying in bed and not upright... you could use the controls as well but it kind of depended where you had it tilted when it began? I really can't remember, my son has the Vita now and I've not discovered which pile of dust the vitatv is buried beneath for some time.

  2. Finally snapped up a Playstation TV for around 30€, bit the bullet and bought a playstation controller since I do not have any other sony console and now guess what. It constantly gives me network errors when I try to buy TxK...ahhhhh! :-)

And then there is something else. Do I really need to buy a PS vita save card as well? This starts getting more expensive than I wanted for that one game... On the page it says that the game needs a memory card, is it true?

Anyway hoped to be able to give the game a spin today but not such luck as it seems. (And even less if I also need to get that memory card first... :-/)

Wow, unlucky timing, PSN was hardly down at all over xmas but today it went down big time (around 4 hours ago or so).

Did you buy a ds4 pad or ds3? ds4 is much nicer, but quite a bit more expensive (more than your pstv I'd imagine).

There were some places selling VitaTV for $10-ish recently, Euro15, and 8gb memory cards were being snagged for £9 (which probably still seems expensive if you're not used to vita memory card prices, but it's as good as it gets for now until the real fire sales begin). Here is where I usually spot decent game bargains: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=894608and her: http://savygamer.co.uk/

Can't help you with the memory card question, never tried to use one without a card :/

  3. If orion goes on to become a celebrity game developer, then these scribbled-on carts might be worth $plenty.

Until then... same as usual, anything from original price all the way up to whatever some eBay crazies think on any given day.

Be warned though - if you're not selling from the US on eBay.com, your chances of seeing those higher values are much slimmer. That's where the majority of those willing to throw around $stupid reside, and a number of them don't ever trust filthy FORNERS.

  5. I am looking to follow this up with an article on my site www.retrogamingmagazine.com but need a bit of information. Are they still taking orders for this or is it done? The reason I ask is because people are talking about having been on the list for 2 years and just now receiving their games while others say something about a 3rd run not happening.

    Any help?

  6. It should do, but there are revisions and there's some murky waters regarding the software that drives the units. I have a couple of different units - one seems very early, is bare and has an odd daughter board setup with socketed chips, another simply looks and acts as a regular unit bar doing the hash check and has a rainbow-coloured cable dangling and maybe another. Robert's page has some info on the different BIOS version iirc. Some of the info might be a little out of date, but I think it explains enough for you: http://rdemming.home.xs4all.nl/Atari/JaguarCD/index.htm

  7. Here's an xmas morning Jaguar release, featuring some French realtime 3D fun!

It's a quick invitation to Sommarhack 2016 in Sweden 8-10 July.

If you download the binary (4mb ROM), be aware best results will be had on hardware. It should be OK on PAL or NTSC machines and will run at 50 or 60fps accordingly, but emulation might lead to iffy audio syncing, which isn't ideal in such a prod.

Here's the video for the lazy xmas lamahs :0)

    Merry xmas, Jaguar fans.

  8.

i would have brought it up in the irc channel but as its invite only at the moment i can no longer get in so had to post here

im going to try to set the working asset to read only and try it then resave the bad one then set that to read only and see if that works

i expect it is a dropbox issue so i'm going to try moving it out of there first

i don't think deleting the build folder is going to help matters

Was invaded by dipshit script kiddies. Sorry you missed the info (it should be in your log!) - I'll PM you the access details.

  9. If your source gfx are being corrupted it's a local issue, rb+ doesn't mess with your original assets.

Does your tool open the graphics as read only? Are you using multiple gfx editing tools and leaving files left open or write protected or something?

I think it's your versioning techniques - dropbox/usb sticks/whatever - something is getting pwnt by an older version. Try changing your gfx to pictures of pikachu and nyancat. If the old explosions come back, you can shout at dropbox or whatever and come back and make a japanese-style "please understand" apology and bow before the rb+ massive :lolblue:

or, as it's xmas and all that...

Have you had too much RUM?

Does the name "Jason Bourne" seem at all familiar?

  10. ok i have been at this most of the evening now and i have finally fixed it, firstly i quadriple tripple checked the object list for the explosion object. it was a corrupt image in the end after all that, just opened it in paint shop pro 7 and re saved it again and it was fixed!

what's weird though is that I have not edited this image in quite some time so I didn't corrupt it myself

so I can only assume dropbox causes damage some times during the sync process :(

I have done a file compare on both the 'corrupt' version and the 'working version' in hex workshop and the only difference is two bytes in the bitmap header which windows obviously isn't bothered about and raptor / raptor basic is bothered about

as I say the last time i edited the once working file was 24/11/2015

    image attached

Those are the x & y dimensions in the header.

  11. Sprite scaling and screen edges is dangerous business - especially y=0 - magic Jaguar happenings are all too ready to piss on your parade,.

Changing raptor list, also, can provide a single frame of weirdness - this is patched in the latest Raptor*, but is not in the latest rB+ AFAIK.

*it's not a hard fix - you have to use a new command to prepare the new list before you switch to it.

  12. If somebody get into trouble solving a level: all levels are solveable, I can give you a hint.

Stay tuned. Another small game is coming soon.

    - toarnold

How many levels are there? I've only had time to play once and that go was curtailed thanks to my son demanding to take the controls (he's 4, so you can imagine how well that ended :lolblue:) To be fair, he did keep on restarting and attempting the first level - that's more than I can say for the few commercial jaguar games he's sat in front of!

  13. But then again, my attitude is that they should have maintained absolute radio silence until the day the new campaign launched. Imagine if they had a playable prototype and could cash in on the headlines generated just over this weekend. Instead the media is going to forget or ignore them in a month.

Exactly. They shot their load early again. Big sites have picked up the news because it has an angle - Coleco, yet the crowdfunding is some time away. Last time it was the Jaguar case. When the KS goes live, it'll likely be largely ignored the same as last time as it won't be newsworthy enough

  14. It Is unlikely it is based on the model of jag. I have owned two different copies of Skyhammer in the last two years and used them on the same jag. One copy had no problems, my current copy does have the audio glitch. Though now that I think about it, I didn't have the jag cd back when I had the first one so the first was always plugged into the system, whereas now I have a cd so the second copy has always been plugged into the cd unit.

So it could be a cart hardware revision issue, a Jag CD-related issue or something else such as Jaguar revision vs those issues or something else entirely.
