  1. Two units available as I write... By the way, I know that some AtariAgers already use and like it. Cheers, Oge
  2. It seems that the most powerful AC Adapter made by Atari had an Amperage of 27VA (3A). Considering that point there is room for using a less powerful Transformer: this will reduce final price and shipping cost (a less powerful Transformer is also littler and lighter). I think that a [email protected] (3,4A) Transformer is perfect and still more powerful than anyone could ever need. Other opinions are welcomed. Cheers, Oge
  3. Prefaction: I'm preparing a very small batch of Power Supplies for the following Atari products: 400, 800, 1200XL, A810, 822, 850, 1010, 1020, 1050 and XF551. Question: I have a 400 Power Supply but it won't work with an Atari XF551. Why yours will work? Answer: An Atari 400 Power Supply has less Amperage/Watts than the one needed for a XF551. That's why it will not work. Powerful: This Power Supply object of the thread will have 5 Amperes, which mean covering every 9VAC Atari system and even other machines (such as NES/SNES) which shares the same connector and the same power requirement (9VAC as written previously). PAL: Of course, this kind of Power Supply will only work with PAL systems (220/240V countries). Is there any interest for such a thing? People that have several Atari systems will surely enjoy a PSU which rule them all and is even better than than any original Atari Adapter ever made. Let me know and I'll make available four or five units. The casing will be plastic, gray coloured and nice to see. Cheers, Oge

    NTSC or PAL? Cheers, Oge
  5. It's surprising that the plastic is not damaged because a lot of plastic things get deformed when submerged into boiling water. I'd rather clean the contacts with toothbrush and alcohol before submerging the NES Connector into boiling water. The more the contacts are clean, the less you need to bend the contacts. When I was a kid I've almost destroyed the 72 Pin Connector because I had blinking screen and I wanted to fix it, some weeks ago I resurrected my first NES and repaired it bending the pins which were almost destroyed during the previous attempt. The plastics of Nintendo products are rugged to an extent which is amazing
  6. As you reflow the solder, apply a bit of silicone between the DC Connector and the PCB to prevent the same issue happening soon Cheers, Oge
  7. You used a Pro-Lite PT-AD0925D, which is a 9V AC Adapter. Being it AC, there is no need to find a negative and a positive wire when it comes to making a connector. Having a powerful 2,5A Power Supply was a good choice. Cheers, Oge
  8. Your PM box is full Have a look here. Cheers, Oge
  9. Almost sold out (..same applies for Italy to US Plug Adapters). The Power Supply will work everywhere (100/240V to be exact) Cheers, Oge
  10. The adapter linked by you is 9VDC while 9VAC are expected. Considering the nature of Atari 400 and 800 they could work with 9VDC though. I'd like to know better about this thing as some users reported that 9VDC works good.
  11. Thread was updated with new informations and Brand-New Italy to US/UK/EU Plug Adapters are now available: they will be included for free. Cheers, Oge
  12. The list you linked is not working anymore (404) Cheers, Oge
  13. Incredible. The CDTV itself is worth much more than €30! Cheers, Oge
  14. I would like to know if the following pinout is from soldering side or not, as I'm going to buy an Atari 260st and I want to prepare a fitting Power Supply to start with it. Attached, the pinout from the manual: Is the Connector a DIN 7 Female, isn't it? Thanks in advance, Oge
  15. Reply on its way, FeistyGirl Cheers, Oge
  16. Man, Total Recall on NES was a shame. And I remember people that paid good money for that game around 1991... For the C64, it was Us Gold.
  17. A breadbin Commodore 64 with a Datassette, connected to a small TV. Cheers, Oge

PM sent about the Commodore 64 Tape Drive. Cheers, Oge
  19. What I can say is that some Sony Trinitron(s) have issues with S-Video: if it is not strict to standard, you'll have issues. This modification seems to be a PITA, howewer Cheers, Oge
  20. Since some people asked me for more informations, here they are: 1) The Cable has a 7-Pin DIN Plug 2) It is a perfect substitute for the following Atari AC Adapters: Atari#CO70042 (65XE) Atari#C061982/CA024814 (600XL, 800XL, 65XE, 130XE, XEGS) 3) It surpasses every original Atari AC Adapters in terms of both Wattage and Amperes: the most powerful Atari DC Supply is rated for 1,5A... While this one is 2,0A. Hope it is exhaustive, Oge
  21. Yes. A cellphone charger usually has very low amperage (<300mA) and we don't know how much current this thing requires. I would do 5,[email protected] (regulated) to be sure.
  22. It's incredible and fascinating that there are still New Old Stock Colecovision PSUs... This one is also boxed and it looks like it was produced yesterday. Cheers, Oge
  23. Mmh, they're hard to find. Do you have a friend which is able to repair it? Elsewhere you can reuse the connector and plug an ATX PSU with -5V.
