Yah, I think too early, although I also do like Rev's idea of multiple categories.

My complete Intellivision/Digiplay collection
cmart604 replied to cmart604's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Digimed and Digiplay are two names for the same company (I believe it may have been a name change necessitated by some other company having the same name? ). As a result there are boxes released with Digimed on them and some with Digiplay. I'm not sure yet if it was every game. Give me time, I'll figure it out. omg! you know what you have done? im already pulling my hair for digiplay stuff, now im gonna start searching for digimed. Thanks Cmart! Well, if I don't give you new ideas, you're going to run out of stuff to buy by the end of the week! -
I dont think there are enough terabytes on the planet to take pics of everything, so we get only bits and pieces. LOL! Not yet. Just posted another couple of bits and pieces in a new Parker Brothers variations thread. Stop slacking and just go snap a pic already! I do remember one pic you showed me in our PM of huge piles of crap, but you have since bought shelves, right? A PIC. Like one pic? Riiiiight. That would not do it justice, even if I had a panoramic picture option. It must be properly presented. The pic you're referring to was a snapshot of a bunch of piles of crap that showed the Sanford and Son stage. Many more shelves have been bought, much more has been organized, and much more has been added. It will likely continue to come in stages....

2 is fine, really how many burgertimes does one person need? i dunno. why dont you tell us how many one needs..... well, a true collector would have all 5 versions and a half dozen spare carts as well. :P You mean 6. A true collector would have all 6 versions, not 5. :-D From the top...Mattel gatefold, Digiplay, Bilingual Canadian gatefold, white International, INTV, and Mattel non-gatefold bottom flap box. Just sayin. LOL, I bow in your greatness! Well, I dont have the Digiplay version yet, easy to forget about it! But wait.....is there a 7th? Im not telling. Yah, if you make one there is. I'm in.

ATTENTION: Christmas Carol recall update!
cmart604 replied to DZ-Jay's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
That's true. I still expect hundreds to fly off the shelf once we open ordering, though. GO GO GADGET ORDERING BUTTON! As I said at CGExpo, finding the bug after the close on Saturday was a bit like crashing on your victory lap. Ah well, these things happen. dZ and I definitely want to make sure everyone who gets a copy of Carol is satisified. I know we can't possibly please everyone (even with a flawless release), but we can certainly do our best. I appreciate everyone's kind words about our efforts. It makes it all worth it. I know a guy who might just buy a few copies. -

everything is stored in a bunker made of las Vegas poker and blackjacks... This. I've actually made a car for my son out of them as well, mind you it only goes 70 miles an hour. He is 7 afterall. -

Are you talking about the controller in the last picture? A few years ago I sold two new in box for $100 each at CGE in vegas in the swap meet room. Probably should have kept them, but what did I know back then? I'd say that's still a pretty solid price for those. You could get more now likely, but not a ton more...then again, with the right auction participants....

ATTENTION: Christmas Carol recall update!
cmart604 replied to DZ-Jay's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I'd just like to say that you guys have done a great job handling this and I continue to be impressed with how this game has been produced. I "witnessed" the testing for lack of a better word, and it was extensive. Sometimes, sh*t just happens, it's how you deal with it that shows character. Can't wait to buy this myself. -

Time to do another variations thread for the Intellivision....this time from the fine folks at Parker Brothers. While Keith may have called them out for their game quality as an example of why the crash happened, which many may disagree with, I find their games to be some of my favourite to collect as their boxes were solid (with one exception), and the artwork is generally great. There were usually three types of boxes available, the regular US issue, the bilingual Canadian version and the International release. Here, sadly with one glaring omission, is all of the Parker Brothers boxes for the Intellivision. First up is Frogger, which came in the standard three versions. This is the most common of the Parker Brothers releases, so the US one is really easy to find, the other 2 aren't too bad. (By the way, if you're trying to figure out which version a game is at a glance while you're squinting at ebay auction pictures on your iPhone, look at the blue stripe at the bottom of the front of the box.....if it has two lines of white text it's the US release, if it has one line it's the International one, and if there isn't a blue line, but rather some black writing, then it's the Canadian one.) Next up is Qbert, which comes with a fourth version of the box, one that is a flip top, as opposed to the two piece boxes all the other versions came in...and no, I don't know why. The flip top box is nowhere near as sturdy either, and as a result, is difficult to find in mint shape. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back might not be everyone's favourite game (probably the worst of the six, although I genuinely enjoy playing the other 5), but it is a great one from a collecting standpoint. Auctions of sealed versions of this often run above $100. This also came in three versions. Popeye is another of the three box version games, but the Canadian one is particularly hard to find, second to "he who shall not be named" in my mind. Second to last, and the priciest of the 6 regular releases, although it didn't actually receive a US release, is Tutankham. There is only one version of this box that I'm aware of, and it's the International one. If anyone has ever seen a Canadian version, please post pics, and if you happen to own one, you know how to PM me. This will generally run you between $100-150 CIB...and apparently over $1000 NIB!!!! Yikes. Which of course brings us to the other game in the pic above and the second rarest regular issue, Super Cobra. Again, there was no US release, but there was a freakishly limited release in Canada. This remains on my most wanted list, and came in at number 4 on our Top 30 Intellivision variations list. http://www.atariage....ion-variations/ If this comes up for auction, I'm probably going to sell my home to raise funds. Just sayin. Finally, one final pic just for fun....all six of the International Parker Brothers releases....sealed.

Do you mean this one? It's not too hard to find in European eBay sites. It has the 6 languages on the back right? This has given me inspiration for my next variations thread....Parker Brothers "complete" variations thread is pending.....

If we allow rereleases then I'd say a four way race with Space Patrol added.

Mattel Aquarius multi cart for sale - Aquaricart
cmart604 replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
The Aquarius is certainly an obscure system compared to the Intellivision, but it has a devoted following. I see the Aquarius as a system with a lot of untapped potential, certainly more than its reputation would suggest, and I've certainly enjoyed working with it. Once I can get a few other projects taken care of (soon, I promise!), I plan to follow the Aquaricart with several other new Aquarius homebrew products, both hardware and software. Followed soon after by your first Intellivision homebrew? -

Do you have it? Yes, I have had my copy of well over a year. I seen the one you were bidding on was missing the bottom cart retention area, otherwise I would of given you a run for your money! My copy is messed up in the same area. Is this your first copy or second? 2nd, thanks to thegoldenband. We did a trade a while back before I realized how uncommon it was. He has since been further compensated after the fact. -

Hmmm. I honestly don't know what this would be worth. It would make for an interesting auction. -
You dont have ANY online picture hosting at all? Get with the program, it isnt 1999 and we are not on AOL dial up. LOL! Honestly I don't. They either reside on my PC's, my portable drive or in the itunes cloud. I love the sound my AOL dial up makes!
