  1. I know a few people are collecting the sears intv box variation.

In the large lot of intv games i just won, there were a few variations.like swords and serpents international edition, buzz bombers dark green box,a second style of the mission x gatefold box,and multiple french.

I collect them here and there if I'm bored and feel like buying something, but not over the top must have all variations kind of thing.icon_mrgreen.gif

i think i am leaning toward over the top icon_shades.gif

Nothing wrong with that at all!icon_thumbsup.gif Have you ever picked up any of the Brazilian Digimax releases? I've thought about it over the years but just haven't got around to it....

  2. Keith Robinson talked about this during an interview some years ago. I think he mentioned that some of the unreleased games (Illusions and Deep Pockets), and some of the rarer INTV releases (Spiker, Stadium Mud Buggies) would be the ones most likely to see limited-edition cartridge releases, at about 500 cartridges per game. I'm really hoping they can finally do this; it would be great to have these games on real cartridges, and the prices are bound to be better than inflated eBay rates.

I hope it is these 4 as I'd buy them all in a heartbeat.icon_smile.gif

  3. I hope they do some 2600 cartridge releases icon_lust.gif

Shhhh....stop giving them ideas....they have gotten sidetracked already! We want INTV stuff! icon_lol.gif

yeah, for a while on intellivisionlives.com store they were selling steamroller for the colecovision icon_confused.gificon_mad.gificon_confused.gificon_mad.gificon_rolleyes.gif

how about steamroller for inty icon_smile.gif

They still sell this from what I can see. I actually bought it a couple of years ago and it's not bad at all. I agree, I'd like to see them make an INTV version as well.

  4. An updated version of Utopia might be interesting. And online interaction with other players could open up some even more diverse gameplay options.

Yah, I like the idea of an updated Utopia, that would be cool.icon_shades.gif

  6. Ok, I fired up my ColecoVision again, played for a couple of hours but nothing unusual happened, no funny sounds/voices. All games played normally.

Then, suddenly, the creepiest thing happened while I was testing Goonies a while ago: the screen went black a message appeared on screen. It displayed for a while and the game resumed. I am pretty sure the message isn't in the program as I programmed the game. I kept playing and the message seems to reappear every 5 minutes or so. I took a picture.

Now I have no idea what that means, really really creepy. I am thinking of taking all this Coleco stuff out of my house...

Looks like you've got some good ideas for easter eggs on the upcoming Opcode releases!icon_mrgreen.gif

  7. I've bought/I'm buying most if not all of Opcode's/Retroillucid's/Team Pixelboy's games but I haven't got around to buying any of the AA store CV games. Which 3 or so of Spectar, Astro Invader, Terra Attack, Reversi, Deflektor Collection or Cosmo Fighter 2 or 3 would you guys suggest I buy next? I'd appreciate any thoughts/suggestions.

    Cheers, cmart

I'd go with Spectar, if I were you. icon_smile.gif

Thanks Luc! What makes it your first choice?

    Cheers.

  9. Sean (Stlouisrams2007) pays a lot to be on Ebay. If you notice, he's at the bottom of the search every time. Just do a search on like Atari 2600 lot. At the very bottom after the listings, you'll see his link. He's probably one of the giant stores $300/month.

    Phil

I'm sure that he does and I know I've bought a fair amount of stuff from him over the years as he usually has great stuff, but some of the prices make me cringe a bit, but that's his right. Maybe it's just that I want what he's selling and just can't bring myself to overpay.icon_ponder.gif

  10. It's nice to see ultra high over-priced games are not exclusive to Intv homebrews and the odyssey hoarder on ebay.

i am thinking about starting to get a colecovision collection back after selling it all a while ago.

here is one of the violators:

    eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300412747119 1?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item= 300412747119 &mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

Yah, I've noticed this guy before. He and the gentleman selling the Orphan Overlay proofs that you got fired up have always stuck in my head as they usually have great product but at crazy prices.

Currently selling Stonix, the Intelligentvision and LTO versions of 4-tris all at BIN's of $1999 each , and Minehunter and Same Game & Robots at BIN's of $1499 each. I say great for him if he can get those prices

although if any of you were to offer me half of those prices for mine I'd have to give it some serious thought.icon_mrgreen.gif

i would give that price for R.R. and L.o.L. icon_wink.gif

I'm sure my wife would sell my Robot Rubble and League of Light for $2000 in a heartbeat....guess I better not let her know about your interest.icon_shades.gif

  12. The deal with Coleco Holdings has been signed. The module is going to Midwest Gaming Classic as an officially licensed ColecoVision product, the first in 25+ years. Coleco Holdings LLC won't be manufacturing or distributing the product directly but has granted Opcode Games the rights to use the Coleco trademark and sell the module under the ColecoVision brand.

The product has also got a final name, ColecoVision Super Game Module. The name was jointly selected between Coleco and Opcode mainly due to the similarities between the never released Coleco device from the 80s and the new module, and also as a way to pay homage to the Coleco legacy.

During the show Coleco fans are invited to visit the Opcode booth and leave a message on video to the new Coleco. Participants will enter the chance to win a free Opcode game.

O..o..official!? Thats awesome any idea if it will be compatble with PAL systems?icon_shades.gif

    -Darren-

    Yes, compatible with PAL systems.

About the flyer, can you believe we just printed something very similar to that. icon_wink.gif

Coleco was going to distribute free Coleco t-shirts too, but the decision was made too close to the show and unfortunately that isn't going to happen this time (actually we tried to get that done until a couple of hours ago). Anyway, there is always CGE... icon_wink.gif

    Eduardo

Since I'm not going to be able to go to MGC but am likely going to be going to CGE I think it's a good decision to delay the t-shirts until CGE.icon_wink.gif

It's great to see so many CV fans getting excited about the work you've done. This feels like Christmas 1984 all over again.icon_lol.gif

  13. I got my Intellivision pre-owned in the late '80s with a few games included. I got Armor Battle, Night Stalker, NBA Basketball, MLB Baseball, Poker & Blackjack, Astrosmash, Star Strike, Space Armada, Donkey Kong, and Demon Attack. I think my brother and I played Demon Attack the most, although we enjoyed Armor Battle a lot too. I picked up a bunch of games at an electronics discounter sometime in the late '80s or very early '90s (maybe even 1990). I got Vectron, Utopia (with French/English instructions), Snafu (with German instructions), and a few others. We played Utopia all the time and it's still one of my favorite games for the Intellivision.

We're playing Demon Attack in the INTV High Score Club right now...although some of us are playing rather poorly.icon_mrgreen.gif I swear I was good at this as a kid.icon_ponder.gif

  14. I need 5 of these....icon_confused.gif ...what to do???? Did anyone look at his other INTV auction?? 51 consoles and 1150+ carts plus a bunch of other stuff. icon_exclaim.gif WOW.

Rev take a picture of all that Intelly stuff you bought, in one pile. icon_wink.gif HHW

I will when i get all of it.It is still en route from Cali.It is coming in 12 big boxes icon_lust.gif

REV!!! You won this one?!?! That's awesome.icon_mrgreen.gif Remember how I said our collections were pretty similiar in the "Show off your Intelivsion collection" thread? Not now...or at least not when your 12 boxes arrive!

By the way I did get around to posting those pics, including the homebrews which I thought you'd appreciate. Congrats on a huge score. Lucky many of our spouses put up with us and our collecting.icon_mrgreen.gif

yep,it is just mainly a bunch of commons, but it is still a sweet deal that i couldnt pass up!

and if you ever want to get rid of your homebrews, let me know icon_wink.gif

Yah, kinda kicking myself for not buying 2 copies of everything back in the day, then I might have had some great trading options. Can't wait for the next batch to come out from LTO.

What are you going to do with all the consoles? Are you a fix'em up kinda guy? Not a skill set I possess unfortunately.

    Cheers, cmart

there was 51 systems in the auction.i opted to only get 25 of the best and boxed ones for a discount.so i hope the ones i get will all be in good working condition.

Smart move! Let me know if you have an extra box or two in good shape as I'm always looking for upgrades on those.

  15. Although I no longer have these items, I did have at various times 3 Computers (the big brown buggers). Traded one to Jerry G, traded another to William Moeller and sold the other one.

Oh, and I had all the software... SHRINKWRAPPED!!! Never had the eleusive BASIC cartridge though. Apparently Seattle wss a test market for the Intelly Computer. I have a picture somewhere of my collection at that time. If I can find a scanner, I'll post a picture. It is quite impressive. Whish I had kept one of the computers.

I got my entire collection the old fashion way before ebay.... I pounded the thrifts and swap meets. I have a complete boxed collection except I am missing the Wrestling game.. which I've never seen in the wild. I may be missing 1 or 2 demo carts. I do have a couple of test carts as well.

I have all the homebrew releases including the Philly Classic 4-Tris :-)

Hardware wise, I have a Boxed TandyVsion, two loose Sylvania units, a Sears Telegames unit, a boxed system changer and a boxed ECS unit and a complete Aquarious POS. Oh, yes, I traded my music keyboards away along time ago. Wish I hadn't done that. Always thought I'd find more. I was wrong.

    -Lee

Great collection Lee!icon_lust.gif If I remember correctly weren't there only about 30 of the Philly Classic 4-tris? Great score by you.icon_thumbsup.gif

    Cheers, cmart

  16. Like 1980gamer I too have all the 1979-1990 carts although I don't have a box for Congo Bongo, Stadium, Spiker, Learning 1 or 2, or Fathom although I do have instructions for all except Stadium. (And I strangely have 4 copies of Fathom?)

Eveything else I have at least one copy of CIB or NIB. (Including 12 copies of Burgertime!!icon_mrgreen.gif Which will soon be exceeded by Rev when his very large package arrives!

I have all of the homebrew carts from Intelligentvision, including Robot Rubble and League of Light, as well as Space Patrol and both versions of 4-tris, although not the Philly Classic version.

I have Orphan Overlay set 1 and 3. (Not sure why I didn't buy #2 as I remember Psychostormtrooper offering them to me???)

i want your robot rubble and league of light.what will it take to get my greedy hands on them icon_lust.gif

Rev, if ever I decide to sell them, you'll be my first PM.icon_mrgreen.gif

  17. Summer 1980, Poker & Black Jack of course.

Also Space battle, Auto Racing and MLB.

MLB is STILL the best video baseball game I have ever played!

My brother and I would play for hours. Basically, the first hit with less than 2 outs would win.

Steal 2nd and third and basically sacrifice home.

I kinda like picking the correct fielder myself. Not some computer controlled crap!

    Plus.... YERRRRRR OUT!

    Gene

I agree, I used to play this for hours with my buddies as a kid and love playing World Championship BBall now since my 5 yr old son isn't quite ready to challenge me.icon_mrgreen.gif
