I will go first,in my boxed intv collection i have 174 games that include many box variations such as all but one sears title, white international versions of burgertime, vectron and mission x.many sports titles variation(nfl football-football) and 3 different box styles/colors of burgertime.checkers and the uk version draughts.
i am still missing alot of stuff i want like all the cbs versions of the coleco games and the few rarest ones like spiker and mud buggies and a couple homebrews

i also have about 15 systems(not shown)
Looks great Rev, we have very similiar collections. Now I have a project for this weekend.
Let's see if I can get some pictures together. Do I spot the Wing War repro box there? I didn't get around to buying it, should I? My pictures might have some of those homebrew games you're missing.
I also should do a better job displaying the variations like you have...
Cheers.

If we go Tron, I live Tron Maze-a-tron personally.
Agreed, so few people like this game but I loved it as a kid.

Wait a minute, everyone poo-pooed my Lock 'n Chase suggestion, but then we're putting another maze game "Pac-Man" up instead?

im down for some lock n chase.
Lock'n'chase works for me too. Also Buzz Bombers, Dig Dug, DK Jr, Dragonfire, Night Stalker, Popeye, River Raid, Shark!Shark!, Ice Trek, Worm Whomper.
I just realized a fair number of these are harder to get games, maybe not as many people would be able to play.

i've been to trying find the sears checkers for 5 months now.
i think checkers is the rarest sears intv title.
if one ever pops up on ebay, there might be a bidding war

Let me know if you're bidding and I'll step out of the way and let you have the first one.

that's not neccasary!
but if you really want to......

I'm Canadian, we're polite that way.
Except maybe when we're playing hockey.

If I had/have any choice in the matter!
Yes....I so love the boxes

Yah, the regular one really does have a great looking box, manual and overlays. Don't you hate when you have no choice but to buy something.
Gotta love having a classic gaming addiction!
Cheers.

Sorry My friends. Actually, about a year ago. I traded off the 15 I had for some coleco Stuff (My Favorite ColLection) , but My In Telly Boxes were lonely without them.
This is the first time I have owned Checkers, Backgamon and Bowling.
I will make a note and if Get some xtras. I will let you all know. HHWIn that case this auction was tailor made for you. Money well spent. Congrats!
I still need Backgammon, Checkers, Las Vegas Roulette, Space Battle and Frog Bog. The quest continues....Will keep My eyes Pealed for you and Rev.

Cheers!

Is that little clip actual gameplay footage? I've always heard about how INTV is a bit slow and doesn't scroll too well.
It's very much the actual gameplay. I ran into the author at the CGE 07 and was floored that it was being played on an Intellivision. I bought it when it came out as well.
What's cool is that if you play with an ECS hooked up, it gives you more sound channels which is awesome.
I pulled this out today and played it. This game really does rock.
Anyone considering buying this, do yourselves a favour if they come out with the "Super" version this year and buy it. Seriously.

I bid up to around $50 or so. Wasn't going any higher. If I needed more of them, maybe I would have, but having 70% doesn't justify all the money.
Did you see his other auction? My friend was considering it and if I had the money, I probably would've went in on it. Problem I had with it is that he said pretty much all the systems had at least one problem with a controller.
Phil
I figured $3.50 Each, delivered Was a pretty good deal. Around 5 of those go for between $10 and $15 each. Yes The other auction was a lot of stuff. Not many hard to find Games. It would have been cool to have that many dupes and systems, at one time, though. .

I figured I would have bid about $50 as well since I just needed 5. You definitely got a good deal, especially if you needed most of them.
As Rev has mentioned, maybe let us know if there are a few you don't need, I'm sure something could be worked out.

did you guys see that other auction this guy had for sale with over 1,000 games????
i wonder who won that one?

Did you guys read the Q & A about how he came to own all these? $8500 in a 3 month span winning 165 systems plus a couple thousand games
Ouch.Makes me feel better about the ridiculous amount I've spent on games the last decade or so.

Here's what I got so far. 12,600
I've found I can score higher by falling off the early buildings near the top and climbing them again.
This is an approach I think I'm going to try.....as you re-climbed (if that's a word) the building did you continue to get new Buford's awarded?

I was the first to pick Safecracker?
For me, it was the first Imagic game I owned. I also thought it was cool that the map was *huge* and not random (I had it mapped out when I was a kid). I think it's 26 blocks before it wraps.
This was a great game too, very different than most of what was out at the time. As many of us have said, Imagic sure got it right most of the time.

I voted for Swords and Serpents BTW. I haven't played it in over 25 years but my best friend had this game when we were kids and we played a ton of it. We would take turns being the knight and the wizard.
I played today for the first time in a long time and I didn't remember how slow the knight moved. Frustrating at times, but still a cool game, just need to put in some practice.

Here is a US version in really nice shape. It is not modded. Very nice condition, with really nice stickers. I tested this one 100% also including VRAM, and controller ports and it works perfect. Console only. $60 plus $15 shipping US and a little more for Canada and Europe. Here are some pics
I will do the my A/V mod on this console for an additional $40, A/V cord included. Making your total $100 plus $15 shipping. Here is a link to my A/V mod thread.

Since i'm just starting my collection, i'm happy with cart only. I just want to play the games. But sometime down the road i'd like to get boxes for all the games. But for now i'm happy just getting the games no matter how they come, torn labels and all.
That's how I started, but then it morphed into a CIB quest, which lead to to NIB quest....I guess I just like a challenge, and the boxes make for good man art.

-
Awesome news. I look forward to this as with all your games. Just gonna make sure I'm triple signed up for the email list.

Looks like we got to the same spot yet your score is 50% higher than mine.
What am I doing wrong/you're doing right??? Any scoring tips I'm missing.
Cheers.

Swords would be my first choice, but there's a whole lot of runners up. Beauty & the Beast I'm revisiting right now for the INTV high score club, but I literally enjoy playing all of them, except maybe Fathom. Add to that how great the boxes look on the shelf, Imagic just got it back in the day.

I need 5 of these....
...what to do???? Did anyone look at his other INTV auction?? 51 consoles and 1150+ carts plus a bunch of other stuff.
WOW. -

I'm so happy I own those games open. I can never bring myself to open games anymore. At least for vintage systems.
Phil
I don't see the point in collecting sealed games, unless you plan on being a millionaire at 90 years old. Do hardcore collectors plan on selling 70 year old sealed games in their golden years?? Oe why do they like them sealed?
Sealed ads to it's value because it is rarer (since fewer sealed copies exsist) Sometimes collectors already own an entire CIB set and still want to collect so the next step is Sealed, this happens a lot with NES guys. Many collectors never play there games. I personally play them and therfore do not collect sealed games but knowing they are worth more I would be a fool to open them (unless it is some really common title) The best thing to do is sell them to someone who collects sealed games and buy a cheaper opened copy for yourself.
I agree with both of these posts. I must admit I'd have a tough time opening these although I'm fortunate enough to own them both sealed and CIB and loose. I like to have both play copies and collector copies as I consider myself to be both. That said, good for you for doing so, you're braver than I.
Enjoy your ECS and the somewhat unique games for it. -
Didn't think you guys would want my first score of 850. Seriously, 850. By game 3 I did a bit better. Still love this game although it drives me nuts when you're near the top, get killed, then find yourself killed once or twice more at the bottom as you try to navigate the rocks and rats and birds you just eluded!
Hopefully I'll have something better than this to post soon.17050
