  1. That sounds like a awesome idea.
  2. That's what I was thinking, thanks.
  3. I did but nothing as of yet has happened.
  4. a very interesting discussion. My question is though would Atari have been better off to continue developing the Atari Panther until 94 and have well matured development tools that were easy to use for it and stuck with 32 bits. That's all the playstation was. Plus it did well because it was easy and cost effective to develop for, the Saturn was a pain and The N64 was not even out yet.
  5. I paid 80 for mine with no games from a classic game store, called McVans, opened in the late 80's. There original store has a giant pac-man on the front along the door, actually supports the overhang for the entrance.
  6. very interesting to see what happens when companies get pushy and only care about the money.
  7. Its difficult to say. It depends on your background and skill set. Do you know any other high level computer languages? Are you happy teaching yourself? Do you know about colour depth, how sprites work, implementing algorithms/physics using simple arithmetic, logic, number bases other than 10 etc.? You might be better off learning to program on a PC to grasp the fundamentals of what makes a game tick before starting on a constrained system like the 7800. Okay thanks for the advice. Does it matter what windows version my PC has. I have one with windows XP and one with Vista.. So far I have taken C programming, visual basic and matlab.
  8. I wonder if he has a brain or not.
  9. Hello. I am currently in talks of posibily getting a TurboGrafx-16 and was wondering what the games went for. I am currently looking at Raiden either complete or loose, AeroBlaster, Bomberman, Jackie Chan's action Kung Fu, Legendary axe, Dungeon explorer, Air Zonk, Blazing Lasers, Bloody Wolf, Devil's Crush, Final Twin Soldier,Galaga'90, Neutopia, Ninja Spirit, Pac-land,Parasol Stars, R-type, Side Arms, Soldier Blade, Splatterhouse, and Super Star Soldier as well as others. Thanks for your time.
  10. I agree. I've been waiting for a Space Flight sim for ages. I just want more games where you actually fly a spaceship. Tactical or not. Doesnt matter. Star Trek style would be cool. A captain, engineer, medic etc. Where you just explore worlds and stuff. Boring? No. Imagine Oblivion but in space. With planets to explore. Why not? Asteroids, X-Wing, Freespace, Wing Commander. Flying spaceships used to be cool. I guess now its not. I agree, I loved the Wing Commander series, though Starlancer for the Sega Dreamcast is not bad.
  11. Defiantly different would have never thought of turning a arcade machine into a lounger.
  12. I would love to see some more classics like, Banjoo Kazooie, a TMNT side brawler like on the SNES, a new test drive, hydro thunder update, Daytona, a new Sonic and Sega all stars racing, SOR remake, a new Rayman game,Zoids, a new Okami, new Rocket Night, new Dark-stalkers game as well as others.
  13. what is your opinion of the odyssey systems, Have thought about maybe adding one to my collection one day.
  14. exactly, it seem like this days companies are to worried about making money and not taking chances with things, the mystery, the experimentation has vanished.
