  1. While the game does look good, I feel it is not a true crysis game. If it was it would for one not work on consoles and two crash people's computers and cause them to spend a couple thousand dollars on a new computer just to be able to play it like the original Crysis game did.
  2. exactly, I feel EA made them rush this games release. Hopefully they do not attempt to kill them or the series like they did with Need for speed.
  3. +1 everyone that i know that bought DAII has taken it back the next day. I've been advising people against it too. There were parts of origins that I disliked but overall its a very fun rpg. Dragon age 2 just stinks. Its mind numbingly small and repetitive. Its not fun in the least. But its nice to see that the dlc rape will be out in full force. I guess the dlc will be the other 50% of the game that they didn't have time to finish. I think I nailed what's wrong with it. Its not finished. It feels like they got the whole city and all those quests done then looked at the calendar and thought "oh shit,we've gotta release this". Thank god I didn't buy it and waited to get it from gamefly. Even if it drops down to $20, I will never buy this game. I think its honestly the first game I can say that I would never play again. It has also given me a "wait and see" approach to both the inevitable da3 as well as mass effect 3....and I LOVE mass effect. I'm just not digging what bioware has been doing to their games. Again blame EA not bioware. Also some RPG's just do not work well on consoles.
  4. Too be fair, I do not think it is completely biowares fault nor do I feel they have lost what made them good. I blame it on EA, almost every RPG company they have bought over the years they have completely ruined or at least have gotten close for awhile. Microsoft should have really bought the company and saved it from EA. Though this is only one game so far, so I guess I can't really make a opinion until ME 3 comes out, but if it is bad I am never buying anything from EA again. Don't play madden because it is basically the same thing, still play 2K sports though.
  5. Agree completely. I currently own a NGPC and that is what I thought at first too.
  6. Have tried the 3DS myself and trust me the 3D is not half assed, reminds me of 3D used in movies.
  7. Just wondering what are your guys opinion of the 3DS and to some extent the Wii. I will admit I ended up getting a Dreamcast, then a Xbox 360 because I felt dissapointed with the Gamecube. I had grown up with the SNES which is a system that had a good amount of the 3rd party support and felt like a system that had something for everyone. Then the gamecube come along and I will admit I was dissapointed with Nintendo and decided to give someone else a try(too bad my second choice did not last long either.) Then I see the launch line up for the 3DS and it seems like it is the SNES all over again, they have a game for every genre. I have also recently got a Wii because of the fact they are releasing games more for the older generation now. So what is your guys opinion of the 3DS games so far. I have recently tried it and will admit I was surprised with how well the 3D work. It reminded me more of the 3D in movies lately instead of like amusement park 3D that pops out at you. Its like the movies and seems to add more depth, resolution is not as high as movies though.
  8. Yes they are at best Buys, they have had them for 2 days now. I tried it and will admit I was impressed with the 3D, it is like the type of 3D at movie theaters. Does not pop out but does add that extra depth, not sure if I would pay 250 right know though.
  9. I just recently looked at the specs and actually the GPU's max speed is almost twice the speed of the Wii. I tried it today and will admit I was surprised with how well the 3D work. Reminded me a lot of the 3D movies they have had lately. Doesn't poop out like in amusement parks but does add that extra sense of depth like in movies. The main thing I notice is that it has to be within 14 inches of the front of a person's face to get the full effect, any farther and it starts to lose clearness. Maybe not worth 250, more like 200 would be fine.
  10. I was looking at all the games so far that are coming out this year which includes Animal Crossing,Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy,BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II,Bomberman 3DS, Bonk,Bust-a-Move Universe,The Conduit 3DS,de Blob: The Underground,Dead or Alive: Dimensions,Dragon Quest,Driver: Renegade,Final Fantasy,Harvest Moon 3D,Kid Icarus: Uprising,Mario Kart 3DS,Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D,Ninja Gaiden,Paper Mario,Rayman 3D,Ridge Racer 3D,Saints Row: Drive-By,Sonic the Hedgehog,Star Fox 64 3D,Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D,Resident Evil: Revelations. Plus some more. I would say they are getting some good third party support this time. I have been thinking of trying Wario Land out, Thanks for your opinion of it.

I was wondering if you still want the game. Also what is your opinion of the PSP. Is it worth getting and would you happen to have one for sell as well as games. If you do and I decide to get one would you be willing to do a partial or full trade for the game depending on if you have any games for it I might be interested in, if you have one. Thanks for your time.

  13. I meant that the GPU was 128 bit. Also yes the PS2 did have a DVD drive but looking at it from a pure gaming perspective should that have mattered. Even know it still is not common to have your game system in your living room. Heck Wii's are more common in family rooms and they still do not allow people to watch DVD's plus Blue ray did not take off like people had that plus now there is streaming.
  14. A quick answer would be that Sega Had lost to much money on the Saturn and where already in the hole when the Dreamcast fist came out, then with Sony announcing and Pushing the PS2 over a year before it came out stopped alot of people from buying the Dreamcast and waiting for the PS2, with a console it either has to be big or fail there is really not inbetween. The thing is if they had sold another 1 to 1.5 million units that would have been enough to keep them going a little longer, plus the fear of the Gamecube(what a let down and it think I bought one instead of getting a Dreamcast, that was after they quite making them though. Still would have had better games then the Gamecube.) and Microsoft stabbing them in the back and announcing the Xbox. Sega just decided there was to much compitetion and decide to play it safe and quite. The thing is speck wise the Dreamcast did have a 128 bit processor unlike the PS2. That seems to sound familar(Atari Jaguar). I really think if they would have stayed in things would have turned out fine, plus people burning games did not help there profits either because you do not have to mode your system to play burnt games.
  15. I disagree. Atari Corp. sued Nintendo on antitrust grounds because the publishers could not only not publish on other consoles if they were already licensees to the NES but they also couldn't license those games to other platforms for others to publish. That didn't loosen up until 1988/89 because of the Atari Corp./Atari Games lawsuits and the threats of Federal intervention and lawsuits from other companies. Almost all the titles that appeared on the NES were exclusive to the NES until Nintendo got scared. Then explain how there are many examples that contradict that going back to 1987/88 if not earlier. (several of Sega's own games were licensed and released on Nintendo platforms as well and within 2 years of their release on the SMS/Mk.III) Double Dragon is certainly the most obvious example though. Besides, saying "I disagree" seems a bit odd, like you're posing an opinion: if you have facts regarding the specifics of Nintendo's contracts, then say so, opinions do matter in this context. I haven't seen a really comprehensive outline of their policies, so I'm not positive myself. (going by what's available to me on the subject and interpreting it as best as possible) Nintendo's policy was that publishers could release only five games per year and they had to be exclusive to Nintendo for two years. That is correct. The reason games like double dragon where are multiple systems is because if a Arcade developer licensed there games to other companies the contracts only counted for the developers that signed up for it not the company that had originally created the game, which is what companies like Sega and the ones that owned Double Dragon did, a little loop hole that was hardly used.

  18. Did you guys know that the new version of Amiga Forever does let you use skype and twitter?
  19. I was wondering how does amiga forever work. I have thought about getting it but have never done so or know how it works. Does it install over a PC original OS or does it work more like a Atari emulator. I would not mind trying out Amiga 3.9 and seeing what it can do like internet. If it is like a normal emulator though how is it able to go on the internet?
  20. Does it have all the sounds effects and music, like the opening theme, that would be nice to hear in pokey.
  21. It depends, does the coleco cart have spring doors on them, if so then I vote for them.
  22. Well, 1) yes, the game has been released (it took even part at the Abbuc software contest). 2) a file version for 128k machines can be found e.g. here: http://www.atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=5650 3) not sure if a cart version (for 64k or 128k machines) already exists... ask Lance or Kjmann if you want it on cart (or use Steve Tucker`s Maxflash 1MB or 8MB cart to do it yourself)... 4) the game is great, it is a good jump & run a la super mario - alas, the released 128k version is a bit short... -Andreas Koch Thanks. Are there some good emulators for the Atari 130XE I could run it on.
  23. I had a feeling of that but I needed to sell it because I was currently buying a computer off of some one here and really did not have the time to wait for to long.
