  1. I used to have an original boxed, sealed Air Cars from Midnite, but I opened it to play it. It plays quite good, I enjoyed it for hours. But recently I sold my Jaguar cartridge collection, only keeping the CD collection.
  2. I still collect them, got approx 100, but the new Tamagotchi are way expensive on ebay
  3. Isn't Spanish in USA gaining more and more popularity? BTW, UK people are the same, besides English they cannot speak any other language. Trouble is, they go to, let's say France, and they expect French people to speak English too, which of course they don't.
  4. I got the same without the Dip switches: but you can feel the holes under the label
  5. Once they crossed the road in Tottenham Court Road, into a smaller outlet, Silica was never the same. I went to Silica many times, and each time the Atari stuff was less, and the Amiga /C64 stuff was more. But, hey, they tried to support the Atari right up to the end, and that's made them well worth it. What I wanna know is whatever happened to Derek Fern, and whatever happened to the Atari HQ warehouse in Slough? That warehouse was full of Atari goodness, I visited it many times. I once wrote to Activision UK they should put all Activision VCS games onto disks for PC, and I got a reply saying that at the moment they put Infocom games onto CD/floppy for PC, but have no plans to do that with any other software of Activisions property. I still have that reply: Of course, a few years later they did release Activision Atari 2600 Action Packs
  6. I got one (not called Multi Games though): I also have a nice 32 in 1:
  7. Alice's Adventure (Alices Abenteuer) http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-alices-abenteuer_12282.html
  8. Actually've been waiting for a great cart like that for donkey's, so I'm not afraid at all.
  9. I used to be registered on Nexgam....always posted in English....got a reply from the mod....ve want you to speak German here, or else......
  10. Can't be difficult as Russ Perry and others done it in the mid 90s for Stella gets a new Brain CD (full of STarpath tapes in NTSC and PAL). I wish someone would make it available for trying out on Compumate
  11. I know, that even came in its original packing: So Euro 500 way overpriced that exact item is here: http://www.atarimani...mate_21006.html and I believe that is Marco's So that is not the recent Venezuelan sale. No that was the recent (well, approx 1/2 year ago) sale from SA. I took that image from the ebay link at the time, and Rom Hunter used it for AtariMania. You can search for the original post here on AA.
  12. I know, that even came in its original packing: So Euro 500 way overpriced
  13. for I think Euro 500 It didn't sell I wonder if it's worth Euro 500?
  14. Bad Influence was bad (in a 'bad' way). I still have the first issue of the magazine they released, and boy, it's full of errors. Games Master was well bad too, Dominick Diamond was the most mis-placed person to do a video gaming program. Micro Live was ok, but BBC influenced (being on the BBC channel anyway)
  15. Sega did excellent advertising in Europe, especially in the UK, whilst Mattel (distributor of the NES in UK) did basically ....not a lot. Ads in ZZAP!64, yeah, that'll do....not SMS games where also cheaper than NES games, many titles, as already stated 29.99 GBP, NES games were like 50.00 GBP and up. Later, when NES was discounted to 49.99 GBP, Star Wars was still 69.99 GBP. Yeah, sure, parents buy that for the kids for Chrissy. Also, during the late 80s, ST and Amiga ruled in UK and Germany, nobody wanted to go back to 8-bit gaming consoles at those prices. SMS yes, possibility, but NES, with bad graphics, no way. Games for the ST/Amiga came out on a weekly basis for affordable prices from many UK based software houses. Actually, many of those software houses were also able to support the SMS, whilst the NES, they could not, due to Nintendo's license restrictions. Many were wondering why USA was so (NES mad), even in Computer Gaming World (US computer magazine) NES games were never reviewed favorably, actually the console section in CGW didn't last long at all, and they continued to review more 'in-depth' games for PCs, Amiga, Apple ][. malducci....UK gaming magazines always had far more humour than US gaming magazines
  16. You only have to read the book Game Over, which is a pretty accurate book acknowledged by Hiroshi Yamauchi, Miyamoto, Howard Lincoln and many more from the Nintendo stable, where it states that by 1992, Nintendo only sold approx 3.5 million NESs in Europe. You can also read in that same book that Nintendo always over exaggerated their sales figures, so in reality it is probably much less.
  17. Here you go: http://www.digitpress.com/library/manuals/atari2600/chuckwagon.pdf
  18. CPC came third in the UK 8-bit wars after 1st: Spectrum, 2nd: C64 (source C&VG) and also third in Germany after 1st: C64, 2nd Atari XL (source Happy Computer) bit of a cheap affair like the Amstrad/Schneider music towers which always broke, but not as bad as Sinclair Spectrum.
  19. Well, they are not easy to come by as most of units being sold like 'complete', nobody wants to remove the controllers from the unit just for the sake of it. Best bet might be www.pong-story.com and find out if David Winter has a spare couple for sale. No, they are not hard-wired, that was the Odyssey 2, and yes, the rifle has an extra port.
  20. Yes, Payload is gone forever except for a few people like me who purchased the serial# from Tantalus Interactive website...the free demo version is the whole game, but the serial gives you a link to the Tantalus website which confirms the game on 'that' N-Gage and unlocks the rest of the game levels (you had to access the website with your N-Gage and the Payload game inserted) , so you cannot use the serial# to unlock all the demo Payloads available for d/l. Bummer that.
  21. Are those official/beata MMCs, or did you make those up yourself? I've never personally owned any unreleased N-Gage titles (The closest I ever got was the Aussey version of Sega Rally, but I had the official released version from there). I d/l them from Underground Gamer, also you'll find there: Barakel (spanish QD release), Sango (Chinese NGage game), Xyanide (cancelled game). Here's the complete N-Gage round-up: 0710110...Ashen 0710179...Asphalt: Urban GT 0710220...Asphalt: Urban GT 2 0710216...Atari Masterpieces Vol. I 0710226...Atari Masterpieces Vol. II 0710120...Bomberman 0710137...Call of Duty 0710180...Catan 0710208...Civilization 0710170...Colin McRae Rally 2005 0710117...Crash Nitro Kart 0630794...FIFA Soccer 2004 0710153...FIFA Soccer 2005 0630787...Flo Boarding ..........(UK/German N-Gage release) 0710160...Glimmerati 0710206...High Seize 0710155...King of Fighters EXTREME 0630797...Marcel Desailly Pro Soccer 0710204...Mile High Pinball 0630725...MLB Slam! 0630720...Moto GP 0630793...NCAA Football 2004 0710183...ONE 0710111...Operation Shadow 0630712...Pandemonium 0710109...Pathway to Glory 0710218...Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands 0710133...Pocket Kingdom 0630719...Puyo Pop 0630726...Puzzle Bobble VS 0630796...Rayman 3 0630714...Red Faction 0710112...Requiem Of Hell 0710158...Rifts: Promise Of Power 0630722...Sega Rally Championship 0630718...Sonic N 0710121...Spider-Man 2 0710147...SSX: Out of Bounds 0630713...Super Monkey Ball 0710200...System Rush 0710139...The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey 0710164...The Roots: Gates of Chaos 0710113...The Sims Bustin’ Out 0710107...Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 0710132...Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm 0710196...Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory 0630795...Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Team Stealth Action 0630717...Tomb Raider 0630728...Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 0630723...Virtua Tennis 0710224...Warhammer 40,000 0710102...Worms World Party 0710103...WWE Aftershock 0710146...Xanadu NEXT 0710172...X-Men Legends 0710214...X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse other/unreleased/demos: ...............Alien Front ..........(d/l available, full game? cancelled) ...............Barakel..........(d/l available, Spanish QD relase) ...............Creatures of the Deep ..........(d/l, not yet available, cancelled?) ...............FIFA Soccer 2006 ..........(d/l available, homebrew hack) ...............Freestyle ..........(Spanish QD release) ...............HinterWars ..........(Asian d/l online game only) ...............Leisure Suit Larry: Pocket Party ..........(not available) ...............Pathway to Glory Preview ..........(sample game only) ...............Payload ..........(download only, website defunct now) ...............Pocket Aces ..........(not available) ...............Pro Series Golf ..........(not available) ...............Sango ..........(d/l available, Chinese game) ...............Snakes ..........(available on mmc and d/l) ...............Space Impact ..........(prototype? sealed (empty?) box exists) ...............Space Impact Evolution X ..........(UK Nokia N-Gage CD) ...............Taito Memories ..........(Asian empty box only) ...............Techwars ..........(Spanish QD release) ...............Virtua Cop ..........(d/l available, full game? cancelled) ...............Xyanide ..........(unreleased, demo version via d/l)
  22. Word. I hope you find it enjoyable. I do indeed, when it was released I played it like mad at work, can't remember my high score though. Maybe you can release a new game this year for christmas for N-Gage :-) Austin: Both games seem to be complete, Virtua Cop is ok, but I really like Alien Front (don't know why I called it Alien Storm before, although I really love Alien Storm too, one of my fave titles on Megadrive). Made my own boxes for it too:
  23. I got an N-Gage upon release, and taco talking is actually very cool, I've had many girls coming up to me when using the cell, saying 'wow, that is a really cool phone, kinda space(ish)', but then they're mostly cute girls who'd say anything to get attention. Doesn't matter anyway. I got a complete N-Gage game collection, including Flo Boarding, a purchased Payload (incl serial#), Super Fighter Block Battle and the two Virtua Cop, Alien Storm unreleased titles. The ratio of quality games on N-Gage is really high when compared to, let's say, NES, where the ratio of quality games is really low, and best of all, most games can be had for cheap.
  24. What about the Go for Gold, could be considered a 2 pak too.
