1 hour ago, Rom Hunter said:The white label reached Europe, allright:

But I've never seen a Private Eye color label with a PAL serial number.
I meant the colour label version.
Mind you, I've never seen the white label version in my local game shops either.
I do remember later in UK, Telegames sold the white label version.
Had it in my first Atari collection:

Private Eye never made it to Europe, as far as I know
Mine's got a Box with a A (Australia?) in a circle on top of the box, but the cartridge label is like yours shown above.
My cart doesn't work (tried 3 VCSs), so I couldn't check.
I just flicked through my TeleMatch magazines quickly (1984-1985), there's no mention of Private Eye. The last TeleMatch VCS reviews Pitfall II, Beamrider....

Oh no I've just realized. NES guys are here, that's worse than a Adolf Hitler Invasion.
Now these unknowledgeable fanboys can talk this rubbish garbage about Atari right here and there.

here's the original.
I'm gonna get that one in Feb. as well, great work.
And.....Checkers.

Hello
I received mine in Germany. Very quick delivery and sturdy envelope packing. Very good.
Excellent, both, Knockout Kings and Galactic Explorers Club. Nice accommodating letter with Boxing patch. And, also, I love the Activision Patch Club (Checklist). That's a very good idea.
Again, many thanks. Gonna order two more in February.

Some Atari games need 2 joysticks for gameplay eg, Spy Hunter, Extra Terrestrials, Radar Lock and others.
Any homebrews out there needing 2 joysticks for gameplay?
All I could find so far is Marble Craze, needs 2 paddles for playing.
More 2 joystick homebrew games out there?

I like it, cool collection.
Love the stuff which needs cleaning. it's nice to clean consoles and games, when the result is good.

Nice setup indeed.

Wow, that's some pages again. Nice to have a fanzine this time.

Send me a PM when you are ready to order!

Hey, great. I'm unemployed at the moment, so I gotta be careful (and cheap), but maybe I can afford 2 patches. I can't decide....

If we have to, I go along with this. No other console has such an iconic logo-mascot

Did Up 'n Down and Spy Hunter also came with a poster?

Ed came up with the term 'homebrew' back in 1995. He did so because he was paying homage to the hobby coders from the famous Homebrew Computer Club (1975).
I wonder what he is up to nowadays.

Thanks, great info.
Would love to own a Frob-26
-
In 1983, The Frob-26 was a development system for making Atari games on the Apple ][. So you could make, what we call nowadays, 'homebrews', way back.
Did someone or did you know someone who actually made VCS games with this tool?
And, what else was available to purchase for making games on Atari VCS?

Atari didn't need mascots, that's only for the needy, lesser consoles
