buying rare A8 items at ebay for a high cost to never use them is always risky (they might be defect, empty, etc.). Maybe the seller already knew the buyer (collector) would never use these items and therefore sold almost empty shrink-wrapped boxes ? Oh yes, memories.

I had a 1581, copied all Pool of Radiance  5 1/4" (original purchase) onto one 3 1/2" for faster access, but it done the opposite. It took lots of more time accessing (finding) the files.

Oh yes, I had a digitizer for my 130XE, did my wife naked.... and besides digitizing my 2600, that was it.

Maybe he's using the Amiga box as the shipping box, full of packing peanuts.

Happened to me once with an Atari,  except mine was with system (and some peanuts).
