An arcade racing game similar to the original Burnout using voxel graphics for the environments and gourad shaded polygon cars. I think that could easily be done and could have things like simple weather effects and a 2 player mode while keeping a solid framerate.

I was thinking of getting a Pro Controller at some point but I was wondering if it's actually worth it. The extra face buttons and shoulder buttons are a good addition (although they make the controller look cluttered) but would they add much to the games that weren't designed for it? Right now my collection consists of Doom, Wolf3d, AvP, Iron Soldier, I-War and Cybermorph and I'm waiting for Checkered Flag and Val D'isere to be delivered. Would any of these games benefit from the Pro Controller?

Honestly, out of the games I have, I'd have to pick Alien vs Predator. I keep playing it and trying to get in to it but I just can't. It's slow, repetitive, and hard to navigate the levels. I agree that it's got a good atmosphere and the graphics are great but those can't make up for it's boring gameplay.

I bought my Jaguar early last year not knowing much about it, besides it having good ports of Doom and Wolfenstein 3d. I just took a chance, paying £100 for a boxed Jaguar, Doom, Wolfenstein 3d, AvP, Cybermorph and I-War. I hooked it up and straight away thought it was awesome. I've played it solidly since then. It's now one of my favourite consoles, up there with the N64, Saturn and PS1.

I currently have 1 Jaguar, 1 controller, AV cables, Doom, Iron Soldier, I-War, Wolfenstein 3d, Cybermorph and Alien vs Predator. I want to get Super Burnout, Kasumi Ninja, Club Drive, Flashback and a few others that I can't remember. I'm ordering Checkered Flag and Val D' Isere Skiing and Snowboarding when I get paid. Also I want to get another controller, an RGB Scart cable and eventually another Jaguar with a Jaglink.

Because when he wants to move right or left, he doesn't want to accidentally go diagonal-up! lol I hate the SMS pad. What were they thinking? A square instead of a cross? This. I don't think the SMS D-pad would've worked too well. The Megadrive's works really well. Also I've only got 1 SMS controller, but a bunch of spare MD controllers.

I've only got a few games right now but my favourites are Yar's Revenge, Centipede and Asteroids.

Yeah, I've basically just replaced the top of the joystick with a D-pad. It feels like a Jaguar D-pad, which is pretty cool.

Thought I'd post my first ever 2600 mod on here, a 2600 controller with a D-pad. I'm proud of it as it's responsive and turned out just how I planned it. I basically fused the base of the joystick with a Megadrive D-pad and then mounted it the same as a regular joystick. I also re-wired the buttons so you can hold it with the fire button on the right, like most controllers. Finally I cut the rubber moulding to fit around the D-pad. I've tested it with a bunch of games like Yar's Revenge, Centipede, Combat and Asteroids and it works great. Will have pictures up shortly. 2600dpad1.bmp
