That's a major concern of mine too. For all I know it may be Space Jockey inside of it! Got the Pics, The games seems to be in working order, but man the cart is HIT! I don't think I'll be bidding any higher than 1k.

There's some schmuck in Milwaukee who posted an ad on CL looking for those same games from that one article. Maybe I should try that to fill out my collection. Offer 100 bucks each.

2600 game goes for record price

Ohohoh that's a good one. When bank executives are getting million dollar bonuses for failing to do any sort of due diligence, how can you claim that with a straight face? I personally don't work a tenth as hard as a rag picker in India, yet I make 100 times as much. It would be nice if what you said was true, but it's not. I absolutely do not want to start a political argument ,but the reason why a "Rag Picker" In india doesn't make 1/100 of what you do is because they are not in the same free market we are. So really you are making my point for me. -
By the way Wonder, If I make it out to LA I too would like to see your collection. I hope soon to be able to give you a run for your money on these high profile auctions.

In this condition I think $1k is a fair price but then again I wouldn't be suprised to see someone drop alot more on it even though it's not "worth more than that". It might be "worth more than that" to whoever to have it right now and a foolish high bid is what they are gonna have to pay to own one right now condition of the cart be damned. Thanks, I thought 1000 was a fair price as well, I am still waiting for the pics, It does look rough. I would be willing to go a little higher if I like the pics, but I am figuring that the pics aren't going to make me want to go higher.

Can't really blame him for having the money, or spending it how he wishes. Better to blame the system for allowing such income disparity. Yeah $30K is more than a lot of people make in a year. But spending $300 on a PS3 is more than a lot of people in India make in a year. One isn't really any more unjust than the other. "The System" The free market is why we have such a great life here in the US. The system rewards hard work and risk. Without "The system" we wouldn't have people striving to be the best. We wouldn't have people who are willing to work their ass off to get a reward down the road. If I had the means I would have been bidding right their with him. -
Okay if anyone can give me a good idea of what this is worth in this condition it would be very helpful. I bid 1k on this and am waiting for pics before going any higher. I really want this, it would be an awesome addition to my collection. I am also concerned that many more will be up for sale soon(with all the attention Tanman Got) driving down the price or worth of the cart. Anyone have any credible idea what it is worth?

Well I bid 1k That's the most I am willing without more pics, Asked for more pics, may go higher if I get them and like what i see. I am tied with the high bidder at 1k. I am very skeptical of the 0 feedback, but sometimes willing to gamble.

Hey, I took that crappy picture! ..Al I know this is the wrong place , and it may be known already but there is an air raid on ebay ...no not the Hozer one....here is the item: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 170472271464 just thought you might want to give it a quick check AAARRRGGG, I want this game, I have some rare games, but nothing like this, I almost want to hit the BIN, but I am very worried these are going to start coming out of the woodwork and i will have wasted my money. I am throwing my hat in the ring and putting a bid on it.

I agree Homer. I think that it is fine asking what he does for a living, but asking someone's salary is definately not OK. Asking someone what they do for a living is part of general conversation when getting to know someone.

Dude, seriously? Yes, people are going...there's already a thread in progress (that has been for weeks). http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/159190-ccag-2010-saturday-may-8-2010/ Indeed. If you are going to post about something, at least clearly identify what you're talking about. If I hadn't seen the original thread, I wouldn't know what the heck it was either. Sorry Mr Smarty Pants

Classic Console and Arcade Gaming show in The Cleveland area

Sounds kind of stupid, what in the world were you trying to donate? You would think more door prizes the better. It is about 3 miles from my house so I am going to go check it out for a little. Hopefully find some boxed games and fill in some holes in my collection.

Tanner, hope you can do something good with the money. I wish it was me the won it. very happy for you though. a month ago you had no idea that you would be 30,000 dollars richer. Congrats.

Wow an Atari Collector in my area. I live in Olmsted TWP. AWESOME!!!!!!!! Always cool to find a collector close to home. Wassup neighbor? (lol) Confused....why Cleveland and not your residence....Olmsted Falls? just put Cleveland, cause not many people would know where it was.

An items worth(monetary value) is what someone is willing to pay for it. To some, it is just plastic and cardboard. To me it is like having that "Mona Lisa" in my collection. This auction is by far out of my grasp financially, but I would definately pay alot more than the current bid for this if I had the means to do so. The Manure salesman says: "It aint worth shit to you! but it's Gold to Me!"
