How do use use the Genesis controller emulation? What are the Genesis buttons mapped to?

I would like to see StarMaster hacked with the second button to display the maps. I would like to do this however I don't know where to start.

For those of us with PAL consoles I have added this hack to the PAL version of Defender. Defender MegaDrive (PAL).bin

Is there any chance of getting this in a PAL version? I would really like to try it out as I get tired of disconnecting my Sega Mega drive controller every time I boot up with the harmony cart.
