  5. Percussive cleaning Well done Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  6. Hdx.. you should really read the FAQ if you haven't.. whole section on copying files to/from a pc.. TIPI is another great solution Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  7. The best way is to use a TI if you don't have one with a disk drive there are others out there that are willing to do this for you. You could use a PC disk imager to copy images of the disks but you definitely need a 360k double-sided double density drive as the track sizes are different and a 1.2 drive also runs at a different speed The best place to archive the files is probably ftp.whtech.com. I would check there first and I'd also check the game base for those games to see if they've already been archived before you spend a lot of effort Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  8. First off it's not a modem is a module. It has wifi network capabilities but it's not going to let you use a terminal and get on a bbs I messed with mine for a bit and I got the type in programs to work but they didn't do what I needed so I put it on the shelf with my nanopeb Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  9. Also as stated before in this another groups a normal update takes just a minute or two it's when you wait 27 updates that it takes a long time especially if you're going between versions of the operating system Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  10. Also if it stops in the middle for whatever reason you can ssh in and restart the update manually if you look in the wiki you will find in the FAQ the update recovery process Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  11. A very long time depending on your internet speed and how many files are in your tipi folder. An hour minimum. The latest version is advisable to be installed in the card to save time and failure possibility due to the internet dropping something in the long process of updating the pi. You can ssh into the pi and watch the update in /var/log/daemon.log to see if it is still working or stopped Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  12. Nope I'll fix that Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  13. there is no way to do that. both of the carts require memory expansion and are large enough to take all of it if you loaded the programs into memory.. as for word processing there's a package called funlweb that you will find is equivalent to ti-writer in every way.. and runs from ex basic or editor assembler carts.. http://ftp.whtech.com/emulators/pc99/pc99 dsk collection/WordProcessing/FUNLWEB/ if you get a finalgrom99 cart (I have them in stock in my store) you can load either/any cart pretty much into a sd card and away you go Greg
  14. yep and a sidecar version lots of info here: https://www.arcadeshopper.com/wp/the-ti-raspberry-pi-connection/
  15. frankly the easiest is HDX.. you just load a program on your TI hook up a straight through serial cable between the pbox and a pc serial port and load the sw on the server.. copy away
  16. This is called gamebase.. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  17. Mg explorer? Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  18. You should really read the articles on my website and check out the videos on my YouTube channel as well as in the playlist I have for the ti if you are curious there's also the wiki Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  19. Yes it can coexist either in front of the disk controller at cru 1000 so it can optionally intercept DSK1-4 requests and redirect them to folders on tipi or or you can set the Cru to 1800 ( or anything in between ) so that the disk controller has full control Tipi is the easiest way to transfer files to your PC since you just copy them from the floppy disk to the tipi drive and then you can access that drive directly from your PC over the network Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  20. No it can't Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  21. The peripheral expansion box has no timing issues The nanopebs and cf7s made in the last few years are patched to work correctly with the f18a Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks! Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  23. You mean the finalgrom99? If you're asking that if you can load the tunnels of doom cartridge on the FinalGrom99 the answer is yes. But this is a disk image, if you're asking if you can save a disk on the FinalGrom99 the answer is no it is not a disk drive it is a cartridge. To use disks you either need a disk controller and drive which usually requires an expansion box, a nanopeb or a TIPI. All this info is in the FAQ in the pinned post in this forum Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  24. Yes the older units definitely have a problem with the f18a they both are trying to use the same VDP memory locations at the same time during startup Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
  25. Sounds like a issue with your cf7 I don't have that issue with the new nanopebs how old is it? Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk
