Can DriveWire be used to make real floppies?

Good luck. It was designed with the old DIP version not with the newer releases. I couldn't get my newer version to work. I'd suggest talking to @F.G. Kaal as it's his design. Easier to make a nanopeb work, so that's what I did until I replaced that with a TIPI

Black screen and the screech of death...

Unless the seller specifically said that the battery had been replaced then you can pretty much assume that a battery in that old of a game is dead. Many sellers these days are not knowledgeable about what's inside. Doesn't seem like a reason to be upset to me unless you're upset with yourself for not checking first. Even a new in-box sealed game at this point we probably have a dead battery. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

Geneve USB to XT adapter Firmware Update
arcadeshopper replied to Shift838's topic in TI-99/4A Development
Also to note this should work on the jedimatt42 board as well if you are using it on a Geneve Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk -
Tipi provides a flat drive on TIPI. of basically limitless space (only limit is the sd card size on the pi) and can point DSK1-4 to any part of the drive. It also has DSK0 that is the same as TIPI. to allow older disk managers to copy from the drive without error. Force command and DM2K 3.0 both support copying from different cru addresses. The ide controller is 3x the price of a TIPI peb card but if you like smb soldering I have a couple kits in stock Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

The simplest thing to do is to use module creator from Fred Kahl. You save the compiled program as editor assembler option 5 (ea5) and then copy the files to your pc in v9t9 format the instructions for his program are in the zip. http://www.ti99-geek.nl/ under modules Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

Please read what I said is fc in the same folder as your copy of xbgem on the sd card? If it's not you get the blinky light as fg only looks in the current folder for switching carts You have gem in a separate folder you have to copy fc and run it from the same folder as gem for this to work.
