  1. Funny that the site is down for you, it's up for me! yes you are right, now I am nervous as to how to change it! and it really does the job well but specially if you have the file I created for it and read from my page which I put a lot of love and effort to explain how it can be done! hope you can download the zip containing the exe file I made which is an awe in itself to see and play! with this program I have made an adorable free tribute to David Crane's Pitfall II: which you can download to play here: http://aloan.site90.net/videogame.html
  2. One mention, you will need to have the program that makes it possible which is Clickteam's Fusion 2.5, but the game maker file which opens in it (that I made) I am sharing and the executable is to show what it can do. It can also make arcade games in the power of Neo Geo http://aloan.site90.net/retrofun.html I don't work for clickteam, but I have their program and am very excited about it, I have made an awesome game called Cliffall which is free and is a tribute to Atari 2600 Pitfall II Lost Caverns and you can download here: http://aloan.site90.net/videogame.html
  3. I meant Atari 2600 games! You will be awed, you will cry! you have always dreamed about this! to simply make your Atari 2600 game just drawing it, clicking and dragging and adding some events to play. No coding, no assembly, no computer language. Wait no more: go here: i am sharing this for free! the executable shows it like it is! the game maker file is yours to keep! here is the page: http://aloan.site90.net/atari_graphics_simplified.html once there, pressing the back button will reveal some more free goodies!
  4. I want to get people excited that they can make Atari 2600 games without programming when you have a chance here is my page on the matter: http://aloan.site90.net/atari_graphics_simplified.html
  5. I go at it on this page: http://aloan.site90.net/atari_graphics_simplified.html

  10. well they got this plugin called Vitalize which I guess is not supported now? then they got this other plugin in Flash which i would have to buy. And I guess the experience is better on your own pc using it's power!
  11. I know, I was on a hurry to make it sound good, until I find some other sound, lol
  12. Imo, He said it because the picture resembles a room of an Imagic game (forgot the name now, but I guess it has Dragon in it's title ) that has a dragon. Although I understand that the animal here is not a dragon but it looks a lot like "it". And in "bad" he meant how blockier it is in comparison to such game which featured the whole max 160 x 192 graphics resolution of the At2600! Now, what do I say? I love it! and I love pixels. The blockier the better! so for me, it's great!
  13. http://aloan1.wix.com/1/cliffall Cliffall Treasures of the Lost Cave! new version out! Free! 7 levels of retro fun! Clean site no ads! This is my game! been working on it for years! happy to share this loving homage to the father of Platformers Pitfall II! Maybe this should have been called Pitfall III (well, make believe it is, lol)
  14. Hi friends, I am Cliffall's developer: Aloan Moreira. It's very exciting for me to know you're all having fun playing the game! The latest upload features the original Pitfall Harry! How exciting isn't it? well I thought to my self, since the game is freeware.. why not? It took me some effort but it was well worth it!. The game's page has been updated as well with tips as to how to progress thru the game. And I will add that the symbols you find in the first cave puzzle-like level and the Sea level must match with it's correponding symbol engraved on the wall blocking your way. Once you have the symbol, touch the wall with the same symbol and the wall will roll open for you!. Cliffall is my answer to all our prayers for a worthy Pitfall game... after we saw what happened to Super Pitfall. I liked it as GideonsDad boldly said as well, but at the same time I was sad that the japanese developers at Micronics did such a mess with such a franchise. If Super Pitfall had the same platform feel as the Original Super Mario Bros (not the second one, or even), it would rock solid! but it didn't. Honestly I would've loved it very much if it had the same platforming experience as Capcom's Arcade version of Ghost n Goblins. Man that would've been awesome. I like how you jump and can't control his movement while in the air. That's how the original was anyway. Cliffall's development engine doesn't seem to have this ability either. It favors SMB's movement, which i'm uhhh ok with. As for Cliffall's bug of getting stuck to the wall, I still have yet to implement a fix. I have something in mind, we'll see if it works out good. Now here and there I am trying to make it feel as retro as Pitfall II. But I went to far with the game's colors and music. I might demake those elements so as to make it look even more original and call it the Atari 2600-esque version. So the game page might have 2 downloads, one for each version. I had removed the level skip secre that Fellow Atari Man mentionedt, but have brought it back again... What do you think? should I keep this secret in the game or not? I am also thinking about making a reward for all the treasures that you get in the game and depending on the amount you get a different ending... I must reveal to you, that I inside my windows folders lies a notepad file which contains all that I had wished for in Cliffall. But I have not figured out how to make it: for example.. a pick axe to dig the ground, a flashlight, a dynamite, a way that he can grab the edges of the platforms... a bug repelant... I just think it would be a lot of work up ahead. And I am alone with the project. Yes I did it all by myself except for some coding help from the game making forums. If any of you would like to know more, feel free to send me those questions or comments. I'd be happy to learn them. If you'd like to know how the game was made, send the question in too! Cheers!
