My computer only had 4 colors. 16 in the proprietary PCjr mode. My original Coco only had a few colors in it's palette too.

I no longer have the room for everything I own and since I never really actively collected for NES to begin with and it is taking up so much room by itself, I'm getting rid of it first. This ties in nicely to my need to generate a little bit of cash for other things. I'm starting off with the loose carts. They are in good shape overall, though condition varies. Some of them have price stickers on them that I'm too lazy to remove (they're a pain, but they do come off...feel free to assume they have a sticker on them unless I tell you otherwise.) They all worked when I first got them, but I haven't had the time to test over 200 carts. I will test anything before I ship (digging out my super 8 to test with since I don't have a blink free NES) and can take pictures of stuff if people want. Prices? I dunno...I suck at that stuff and don't collect NES so I don't have a great idea of what stuff is worth outside of the DP guide and/or helpfull people here. If anyone is interested in giving me guidelines, please do so. Likewise, if you want the whole thing (I can always hope) just send me an offer. I'll ship however people want to anywhere. I can meet you locals someplace I'm sure. My job occasionally takes me into WV and Ohio as well, though I couldn't depend on that happening nor do I generally have much notice. I should've pasted the whole thing... The law basically makes anyone who sells on ebay to become a licensed auctioneer, not make those who do it as a business file the proper paperwork for such a venture. So in addition to the money it would cost, you can't sell anything on ebay until your one year apprenticeship is done. They are claiming that they didn't intend for it to cover casual sellers and will fix it to reflect that before it goes active. No word on how much you can sell before you are no longer a casual seller.

The fleas have been pretty crappy for a while. Eastland is ok and Trader Jack's on I-79 is really busy in warm weather, but a lot of the others like the one off of route 8 are on life support in general, let alone for games.

I have a ton of NES games, but I don't really collect for it. I'm debating trying to dump them to make room (and a little cash.) I missed the NES generation of gaming so I don't have that nostalga to drive me.

I plug mine in as often as anything else. I had one as a kid so I have fonder memories of it than most people probably do. The O2 takes a lot of pounding from people, but really it wasn't that bad compared to other machines of the time.

Yeah, it is a scorched earth type of game. A lot of fun. My girlfriend plays it more than I do, but we do play it some.

Did they release a patch Al, or just a warning? It's only a matter of time before they get back around to us I guess.

They're using google to find phpbb sites. It's a known vulnerability and a patch has been available for a while. Our guild site was hit a little while back as well.

What do you want it to do? There are some ITX boards with VIA processors that are more than good enough to build a MAME machine, play DVDs, etc. A good site for info is www.mini-itx.com

I suppose that I should also note that pizza hut has had online ordering for quite a while now (when the office orders, they do so online...I usually eat something else as I have an aversion to crappy pizza.) All the /pizza command does is spawn a browser with pizza hut's normal ordering website.

I'm a big online gamer. Been playing online games since Gemstone III and other games were on GEnie. About two years ago I started talking about ad revenue in online games over on my guild board. Things like in game bilboards for modern games (like Anarchy Online or City of Heroes...note that neither of them does this) or having marketing tie ins like what Sony is doing with EQ2. I think it's great. It is an additional revenue stream for the company and in this case it is completely unobtrusive. More revenue streams for the companies means less revenue is needed from players to remain profitable.

I first played Zork on a mainframe of some sort at Westinghouse R&D when I was a kid visiting my dad on bring your rugrat to work day. Kinda ruined me for life *looks at wall o games*.

I bought the original gameboy with the Tetris pack-in in 90. It was the only game I had for about a month as that was the quickest that I could get other games shipped to me. I also have a boxed original gameboy up on the shelf and it has no pack-in.

I'd have to go with Arena on PC.

Not a thrift exactly, but I went down to The Exchange and found Nova Blast and Moonsweeper for Colecovision for $2.50 each. They had a copy of tunnel runner for the 2600, but it was bundled with a bunch of commons for $20.

I think I might have a spare one. Let me dig around a little bit.
