  1. Yeah I might as well enjoy it! The tournament edition one that's floating around just doesn't play as good as the original on the cart!

Congrats! It is very exciting to win a sealed game! Regardless of rarity It's cool to open a game 2 or even 3 decades old sealed in the box!!!

  3. I was wondering has anybody bought the multi cart from atari-sales.com? If so how have you enjoyed the product? What would be some must have games for the cart? New to collecting for Atari computers.

  4. Great idea for a topic! (how about a complimentary "Rarest Disk and Rarest Cassette"?)

My rarest cart turns out to the Canadian version (who'd have thought it!) of Mr. Do's Castle - R9 according to Atari Mania. Journey to the Planets is still sealed.

Love the Mr. Do! Didn't even know it existed on cartridge! Will have to add to my "wanted" list

  5. Post a picture of your rarest 8bit cartridge!

Thinking this might be a fun thread! :D

Who's got the most impressive cart...is there an espial or matterhorn out there?

I only have one game cart, the rest are language and R-Time8 and SpartaX, BASIC and ASM ED

I really want a R-Time8 Cart...would trade with anyone...I have long list for trade!

  6. I'm pretty sure that's just a flashcart with a repro label. I remember seeing that exact image a number of years ago can't remember on which site though.

EDIT: Yeah thought so - look about half way down this page.

    Nice detective work! :D

I dunno, I collect cartridges but reproductions don't inspire me to buy them.

I would like to see however a Montezuma cartridge in a parker brothers case ;)

saw a prototype on ebay about 14 months ago and it went for about $300!

  7. I have two old Atari 400's from my childhood. The last time I tried to hook them up, I remember them turning on (little red diode) but I couldn't figure out how to hook up the old rf switch box to a modern TV. My guess is that these are not designed for modern TVs. I found this on amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0028MXOF6?ie=UTF8&tag=atariage&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0028MXOF6

If my Atari powers on, is it most likely that the system still works and I just need one of the above?

In addition...does anybody do Atari 400 homebrew?

yes you can buy one of these RF adapters on ebay for like .50 cents plus shipping.
