Story time... It was a dark and stormy night. Everyone was out making this quest a most treacherous adventure, with birds, oysters, clams all out in threes, with the meanest, grizzliest old bear you'd ever see in the wilderness, all with an igloo needing to be built. Grampa, we've heard this one before, you tell it every Saturday night, called out the kids sitting around the rocking chair. Just then a call came out from the other room, ushering the kids off to bed for the night. "Hun, you know they adore you, regardless of what they say". "I know," said Bailey, now retired from the force for a long deserved break. Just then, from the next room, the phone rang. "Hello," she answered. After what seemed to be a very long quiet pause, a call came out from the other room. "Bailey, it's it's it's...". "Spit it out, what is it?" "It's it's your son, he's lost and assumed dead. He was last seen run off into the woods by a bear." Just then Bailey sprang to his feet, "I guess there is only one thing left to do." "No..." she said. "Yes, " said Bailey. "I'm off to the arctic. Don't wait up for me" More adventures of Bailey coming up in a future post.

I know this isn't my HSC, but I'm bored, and as soon as I smelled me some Frostbite, I had to pull the VCS out First crack gets the 2pt bonus Score 141,440

When I asked the BSR's over at INTV I heard they were allowed to sell their current running of Rocks, but couldn't print any new discs due to licensing with Imagic/Activision. So as long as they have a disc around, no reason why you shouldn't be able to get them to send ya a copy

Chuck in that case A) Go in the top left room in (1,4,7) last, as that is the only room where in the inner walls kill. In addition enter via the top or bottom to give you space to get the diamond ALSO exit that way

Intellivision Ebay Roundup
cparsley replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
It definitely does.. -
on a more important part, time to take a TG record, we need to videotape it to bring that WR home to Intelli-age (AtariAge, but only better)
-
Not really, you can go slow, take your time, only get a 2 or 3x bonus instead of the 8s u are probably piling up, and can easily finish 9 under 655k-ish. I dont see how to make a shot just before flipping and right after lol

something to be placed here soon (maybe)

Intellivision HSC Rules & Regulations

of yah, forgot the slickness, I usually go full 10. -
We got a problem here... I pulled out Venture, played a game, and first the pic.. This score is rolled once, but the game does not roll the scoreboard at 1,000,000 points. It looks like (and unconfirmed at this point) that Coleco was way way too cheap when it came to memory allocations that it must of done the scoreboard in hexi-decimal as it looks like it rolls at about 655,350 (give or take a few points)... I try to determine that exact point. On the game front, I guess I was incorrect to toss in the towel immediately, but damn those bat rooms (and yes, the game loops level 3 ad nuseum as level 9 (it does not do the 3 sets)

Well game 1 is over... on to game 2 (cheeky devil for starting it early... good on ya Mr VCS)

I usually bowl 16lbs right handed on the game, but prefer the pick up spares version (but impractical for a HSC as its random as to which spares u get, and each score differently) -

Heard from Mr VCS season 2 starts next Sunday... -
With being able to shoot, even for 5 sec, it makes me think A) Its not the Intelli B) Its not the games and C) Its the controllers Try He-Man, Pinball to see (as those will advance past the title card without button presses)

Rev X, one of the earlier HD titles that came out as the Arcade scene was winding down.... darn CHDs for Mame

I got Rob, but not with the components... he's been collecting dust in the corner, a nice conversation starter but it usually ends there too lol

Goldenband - That's what I get for trying to reply at work, I didn't catch on they all were from Season one (how long ago that was) hehe... My bad. We haven't had to worry about Photoshopping here in the HSC (INTV) that is. A) We are all just too dang honest (yah, thats it) and B) We're all too good that we can easily spot a photoshop forgery (unfortunately thats it, you know deterrant lol) Usually HSC scores are solo player adventures, so that would't be a determining factor Come on, I know there has to be more than me, golden and rev lurking here... Remember the early April of Mr VCS, guess what.... its April... so lets hear the first voting for games in Season 2 (game 1).... :) My votes go for Burgertime (I came in on game 2 and missed this last go around) Auto Racing (Fastest completion - Track 1 would likely be most easiest to do this on) For those wanting a bad game in the mix (and remembering Dk, DK Jr from last time there is), lets put in Congo Bongo hehehehe Ice Trek - Build that bridge Demon Attack - Game 10 (ultimate speed (or as they would say in spaceballs, ludicrious speed!) -
No problems on the toe shot... I commend thee sir, not too many are able to keep the majority of these in such good condition, even keeping the internals (cards, etc) The Centipede / Pac-Man are nice original Atarisoft releases, and not INTV production re-releases, however you do have some of theirs as well (SP Football, Space Battle and Commando) I'm at work now or I'd have prices, but I'll except the usual suspects to be shortly to give you those numbers.... Very good collecting wccw mark

yah these were the days when the Channel F and then the good old INTV got POWW (or PIXX in NY) treatment. What was even better is while easily suited to use in kids programming (you know afternoons used NOT to be Maury/Judge Judy's domain, but Ducktails, Dennis the Menace etc), but also worked on independent stations filling primetime up.

Season 1 Game 18 *Tron Deadly Discs*
cparsley replied to Mister VCS's topic in Intellivision High Score Club
Thats why I hated Dracula :) Nice to hear Im not the only one who hated it... As for the AD&D titles, never really could sink into Cloudy Mountain (not enough gameplay) but I loved Tarmin, but it does take some more time based and time consuming play to do so (not a game ur going to finish in 5 minutes) Motorcross I agree, could be soooo good, but its sooooo bad lol -

Goldenband My notes list these games as being played last season, BTW: Atlantis Beamrider Beauty and the Beast Bump 'n' Jump Burgertime Demon Attack Diner Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Junior Dracula Lady Bug Lock 'n' Chase Mission X Night Stalker Pinball Popeye Shark! Shark! Stampede Star Strike Tron: Deadly Discs >> I count nine I think from Season one in this list... I might be mistaken on the tenth... I'd love to see more offbeat choices get featured this season. Not all of the games we choose have to be traditional high-score games, after all, and we might consider games that feature other competitive mechanics: - Trying to set speed records in Auto Racing and Skiing - Trying to get the lowest possible score in PGA Golf or Chip Shot Super Pro Golf - Trying to win by the biggest margin (or lose by the smallest margin!) in Championship Tennis or one of the other second-generation sports games - Trying to make the most cash in one of the gambling games (yes, even Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack ) Bowling could be fun too. In that spirit, I like the idea of including at least a few games during the year that can't be played endlessly, but where the mission is instead to try to get as close to perfection as possible. (Maybe this reflects the fact that I'm not so much of a high-score chaser by temperament, which in turn reflects the fact that I'm not a big fan of memorizing patterns in arcade-style games...) Anyway, I'm going to try to join in more this season. Looking forward to it! >> The more the merrier, welcome to our humble abode... I love the ideas you have, but the problem I can see is possibility of too many maxed out ties for first, especially with Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack, as a player could simply key in $9999 as their starting #. For games to be good, they got to start from the same defined point, and love or hate high score games, they do. I can definitely see myself racing course 1, 3 or 5 on Auto Racing, or hitting on the Golf links Jacob Cool, I like the idea of Frogger on (game 3) the one you cannot move through the sides of the screens. He-Man, has that (see how many runs you can do) feel.. and would provide a solid challenge, probably (game 3)? Mouse Trap, I know.. it seems broken at first play, but when I took time to play it.. it's quite fun. Game 3 "again". Armada we'd play the (Game) variation and hope people are honest (which they all probably are) Vectron, true the emulator would be not be good... although it's a game that should be played someday and figured out (by many), same with Maze-a-Tron? First off, I love Mr VCS's scoring system, it does reward performance, as the top does score more. As for your game suggestions... Frogger - RIBBIT RIBBIT :) (3 smiles for game 3) He-Man: The games are just if your starting on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th pass thru the Wind Raider/Skeletor path. (Practice/Beginner/Advanced/Master) I think are the names without pulling out the cart. I don't however seeing # of passes working with a game that has a scoring mechanism that works fine (500-meteors, 1k-skeletor, etc) Again, I re-interate... EWWWWWWWWW I just stepped in some Mouse Trap.... Space Armada puts Space Invaders to shame Good on you, INTV... exploding bombs, invisible aliens, guided shots, etc I love Vectron personally (only than Mattel copped out on their congratulations for completing all 100 levels due to memory space issues hehe), don't see it being a great HSC title however. Tron Maze-a-Tron has been a personal favorite of mine (maxing energy out to 255 (nice hexi-decimal registers) but the scoring is virtually non-existant as if you don't complete a run-thru no matter how good you do or how long you last, your score is zero. As for the HSC, Mr VCS will be doing it alone for this one, as I think he already got it planned for season 2. We should be starting soon, I hope (Don't take my suggestions as gospel, just offering suggestions like everyone else is) -
Intellivision HSC Rules & Regulations

I've been talking with Mr VCS about when we can get the INTV Season 2 started (and even volunteered to throw my hat into the ring to help run/keep it running due to the number of other HSC's he has to keep track of as well. In the mean time, let's get the first choices for season 2 out there, regardless of how/when we get it underway... To shoot a few current lists.. Jacob (MT, SA, Frogger, Vectron, He-man) I love Space Armada (not sure how can make sure someone doesn't play "Practice" compared to "Game" but other than that I'm game), Frogger and He-Man would be awesome to run. Vectron I'd probably stay away from (even though I love the game due to it almost being impossible to play without a 16-way controller (INTV disc works great, emulation NOT so MUCH!) As for Mouse Trap, ewww ewwww ewwwwwwww get away! RGW - TC, DK Jr., Popeye - Love me some Thunder Castle (damn cats to power up lol (or is that a rat), DK Jr (do we need a repeat of DK from Season 1, and Popeye is NOT bad on the INTV, wouldn't mind me some Parker Brothers... A few I'd toss into the mix are: Ice Trek - Anytime you can "battle" the angel of death due to you killing one of her caribou Space Spartans - The Battle - is - OVER Starbase one under attack! Diner - We had BurgerTime Season one, so why not the sequel, or did we do this one already lol Las Vegas Poker 'n Blackjack - JUST KIDDING Snafu - Game 14 - 25 Rounds should be enough to show nobody getting the perfect score of 75 Fastest Speed of course Nova Blast - The sound when the city dies... classic! -
its a normal frying of games, I can get Lock 'n Chase (4k), Snafu and others (made by Mattel with the main title card only) to do this by rapidly resetting the INTV (model 2 does it more often than the original one).

Funny description of Imagic's White Water
cparsley replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Anyone who's played the game, while satyrical, is quite honestly not that far off the case... I chuckled the whole way through.
