  1. A “sprite” is a computer term for a moveable object drawn (and subsequently) redrawn on a display, probably handled by a chip (or series of chips) on an older system (like our dear INTV)... As to where specifically it is, that I am not sure of at the present moment.
  2. Agreed, but Im trying to look for someway to address it without having to have the end user having to do hardware modifications to their rebadged Radofins'. Keep the idea in mind as you go, in case something comes up.
  3. I've had some homebrew ideas for the Aquarius, one question I would have is there a way not to have to modify the actual Aquarius hardware, but put an extra chip/programming in the software/cart and then have it take priority over the default Aquarius graphic set?
  4. umm, to borrow a phrase from the INTV game "Beauty and the Beast" Awesome -> (the plane)
  5. I'm still looking for that video camera, but in the meantime, here's a new score... 128,440
  6. alright alright, let me find that Aptek since the on-screen recording direct from Nostalgia isn't worth crap to see if I can tape some Pinball for you
  7. I cant believe I didnt type the 'l' key instead of the semi-colon... Double flipping is usually the quickest way to "cheap deaths"
  8. GOD DAMN man, stop DOUBLE FLIPPING!!! Serious;y, god invented the bottom side buttons for a reason How do you make ur recordings, and I'll do one.
  9. I personally love using the '7' and '9' keys for left/right flipper.
  10. HINTS: USE the DISC to bump the table (it'll prevent a ton of "cheap deaths") Use a full pull back on the first level to get the ball to go into the ball saver on the left side. Not only that, it'll make sure you get a 1,000 point bonus scorer for doing so. In final addition, it will either bring the ball down on the right side, or will aim it at the left flipper for you to flip to the spinner target.
  11. I gotta give us ALL a great hand, I believe this game has had the most posts (entries) of all the HSC games thus far, and if one of us could actually record a game, we have a new Twin Galaxies World Record here at AtariAge (or would that be IntellivisionAge?)
  12. That's pretty close to my move at 100k+ but use the ENTIRE top to bottom grid to allow the shark to whip, whip, and whip again and time your move to his tail when his head is facing you, as he'll turn to the tail as you hit the shark point. BTW, I was at about 95 lives at 90k on this attempt I did. I got to find a camera so I can do a tape of the game (as for some stupid reason I can't seem to get Nostalgia to record it directly.
  13. It makes me think the chip/board that runs the sprites might either of become desoldiered or just gone out.
  14. Its time to take this game up up up!!! Ive figured how 2 handle the sharks @ 100k+, and its a whole new game! That's right, 124,800 and the bar goes higher!
  15. My original target was 110,000 and I have a feeling by the time this ends that will win it.
  16. Hint: Get lives before 90k... After 90k RUN AND PRAY
  17. By Jove, I've done it.... First Place (for now) is MINE! I didn't crop this time, as I wanted to show how I usually go after these (kept track every few lives gone after 90k) how close I was to the goal J or RG, who's next to raise this bar?
  18. I'm pissed, amused, and shocked that I BROKE SHARK! SHARK! (Not kidding here, I broke the damn game!) Let me explain, I was going for first here, hell it could of taken down the Twin Galaxies WR at the rate it was going, when at precisely 90,500pts the game took my lil yellow fishie and replaced it with an upside down blinking grey "dead" fishie... I've enclosed a screenshot, and even avi'ed some footage if YouTube (or some other video source) will take the upload. GRR after putting it into MSPaint did I find out I took the pic on the OFF frame of the flash, the video will have to do. Video once I can get it upcoded. (it's in .avi format at the moment)
  19. It more like toro!! toro!!! at 90k to have any shot at taking the sharkie down...
  20. BTW, off-note but still interesting, I just named one of my towns in the game KingsAge “Shark! Shark!” in honor of this HSC battle
  21. unlike the previous few, this is not a game I grew up with as a kid, so I'm coming into it new... This ought to be a great final week as we see how much more beyond 100k can be squeezed out of this game.
  22. RGW, I got one for you.... My final score is Wait for it... I said wait for it... 103,200 (Legendary!) The first tie I think for the HSC, right?
  23. TG I believe will take whatever setting you submit it on, I'd assume the current HR is on slow as it gives the most time to react.
