  1. yes, in fact the real question is how to receive analog signal on TI... i'm thinking to software way for using Atari paddle. I read an internet page about TI joystick port modification, but i lost where i read it so, i'm thinking about little interface...
  2. I'm interested in reading a analog signal from. Is it possible through the cassette port ? Somebody also have idea how the Wico trackball use the joystick port ?
  3. I thought I did. Some software resizes and use some sort of anti-aliasing just browsing. yes, you're right shame on me
  4. just little question : why don't you save without anti-aliasing ?
  5. im' more and more impressed by your game ! i'm so impatient to have final version in hand
  6. just a little question about compilator : i saw 3 basic compilator for TI99, but no one work for TI Extended basic , espcially for sprite ??
  7. i like very much the "isometric" one, it big upgrade from the original...euh...very basic one..
  8. if we still interested in TI99, 30 years after, it's for sure the proof we're all addicted
  9. It could be also interesting about Hxc interface. i contacted the genious maker this week bec some few bug left in image conversion, and he released a updated converter working perfectly. About CF7+, it could be so interesting to manage also module images, as it's connected to the IO port of TI99...
  10. Thanks for the link. I checked all adaptation of original Bruce Lee, MSX included. Finally, i prefered to keep the C64 base, to be closer possible. I need to start seriously this conversion, for now, i'm finishing my TI99 modifications ( Pebox with Hxc included, finishing box including CF7+ & speech and output for Pexbox ). In fact, i'm seriously thinking in including everything in Pebox. After this, in hollyday i will start conversion seriously....an before, i will release little surprise i'm working on for now.
  11. amazing !!! it's not really fair to show so gorgeous things (covers, cartridge labels ), and told us to wait until 2011
  12. if you search a copy of the eprom The Diagnostic module, I have for you. but juste the file, have you a eprommer for burn the eprom or eeprom. jean louis Thanks jean-jouis, i'm interested by the rom, i have everything here to burn and make a the cardtridge. it could be usefull in case of....yes, in case of, because... i solved the problem in fact, i need to thanks opry99er, because after tryed everything possible, i decided to try his idea, unseat the flex cable from the expansion card. and while i was doing it, i noticed many little scrath and cut on the end of cable of the flex cable ! I had to cut 20cm of flexcable, and reseat it again on expansion card, and now it's working perfectly so...check it out in the next following days for hot stuffs ...yes, the time to solder a extension port to the CF7+ thanks again for all your help
  13. Thanks for the help. I tryed to access to all extension (32ko , ramdisk, ) and nothing. I cleaned all contact in flex connector and they look good. The last time i used pebox ( 15 years ago), it was working perfectly, and was in safe place, i really don't understand what happened. opry99er, i'll try to re-seat everything inside and outside of flex card & cable.
  14. pity ! I received at least the TI Extended basic and disk manager 2 today in cardtridge. Of course, was very excited to re-dsicover my 200 TI99 disks, with for sure some treasures..( unreleased games on internet ). Connect my pebox to my TI, put disk manager and test my first disk... and ...DISK ERROR 0 ! Catastrof ! what happened to my lovely pebox ? I opened it, cleaned everything with un-oxydant spray, removed all useless (for testing) cards (Rs232, 32 ko unit, 512 Ramdisk, speech synthetiser), just the TI99 and the PEBox with Disk Controller and Flex Cable interface and still have the same error. I tryed my second TI99/4A, bec i had some problems with CF9+, and maybe it killed some I/O. But no, same problem. When i switch on the TI99, the disk controller led switch on...and that's all, nothing else. Have you an idea ? Update : I re-inserted the 32 ko inside pebox and tested with SIZE command...expansion not detected. So, i suppose it's flex cable plug or flex cable card defective.
  15. I've bought stuff from him several times in the past and can't complain. Delivery, packaging, etc. was all fine. Yes, some of the stuff is expensive. But he does occasionaly have stuff up for sale that I haven't seen from any other sellers. This especially goes for technical documents and the like. bah..i just bought him extended basic for 12$, 9 $ for slymoid and 12 $ for disk manager 2. It's not so expensive.
  16. i u want, i agree for pay half with you. I just bought 3 cardridge from him, i can add this
  17. thank you so much! ! :D I am very pleased and very happy too! but I must say that even inspire retroclouds very well with its beautiful games! Now we need to do the manual ... the cover is already almost over ... but in the meantime is in the finishing straight manual Pitfall, missing only the correct translation of some paragraphs in French and Spanish ... then ended and printable :-) ... I can not wait for this! if u need help for french translation, i'm here !
  18. wow realy amazing !! i followed your first games in basic, and just few months you're coding a scrolling in assembler !!! really incredible !
  19. yes it's exactly this. i'm finishing the new version, i hope it will be online next week...
  20. Just few bugs removed today...and little bit faster to use
  21. Hi ! Here it is the very buggy early version of my tiles converter. You can try it there : Preview So, it's not at all optimized, bugged, but u can have a look and send me your ideas I didn't made option to upload picture directly from your computer, so, actually, you have to enter the url of the picture in the first page (in the middle). there is already a demo url, if you want to use another one, you have to configure flash to accept url from other domains (flash security) Sorry for this... You can also find my incredible low definition video there (very useless) : So, some explainations.. let's try to convert the main sprite of Bruce Lee. In the left corner, you can find the uploaded picture to convert. It must me already scaled for the TI. The blue grid is the 32*24 char map of the TI-99. It help you to imagine the final size on TI screen. You have a little green cursor (very small i know), this cursor give you the converted area. You can move it simply by clicking on it, keep the button down, and move the mouse. At this moment, you can see the left bottom windows move, doing a realtime conversion. You have in background the original picture 12x zoomed, and on it, the 16 colors grid. The big green area is the area that will be converted in CALL CHAR. All colors are converted from 0 to F (hex). For information, a little area on the right show you the current color & code under the mouse. Note : for best result, use only sharp GIF/PNG picture, with less colors possible. On the Bruce lee gif, the yellow is coded by "F", and the black is coded by "1". So, move the cursor to Bruce Lee. Actually, all colors are converted. To "clean", you can unselected the useless colors. For this, use the "color mapping" area. You can select and unselected any of the 16 colors codes. In our case, Bruce Lee is only 2 colors, the yellow and the black. You can unselect all colors, but keep the "F" and "1" colors. Then, to convert Bruce Lee, we need 2 charset, one for the yellow, and one for the black. All colors selected in the "charset 1" will be converted by "1" (in inary, before HEX conversion for CALL CHAR). In our case, we only need the black, so just select "F". For the charset 2, we also need only 1 color, the black, so select "1" in "charset 2" panel. Moving the cursor by keyobard is very easy : use simply the cursor to move by 1 pixel, and SHIFT + cursor to move by 8 pixels. So, locate your cursor on the beginning of Bruce Lee, and press "SPACE BAR". At this moment, the green area is converted in CALL CHAR, the black pixels in Charset 1 window, and the yellow pixels in Charset 2 window. To convert this sprite, it need 2*3 tiles. So, move using "SHIFT + Cursor left" to select the next 8 pixels area, press again spacebar,...etc..until you converted all bruce less area. Then, just copy & paste in classic 99, and your Bruce lee sprite is converted ! To do : - resizing the original picture - upload picture directly from your computer - actually you can't change the starting number line & ascii code (bug..) - optimizing - windows showing you the binary conversion, with inverse/mirror function - zoom function on the original picture i hope it's nealry clear, sorry my horrible english...
  22. Thanks for the very detailled explaination tursi ! It's very interesting and need to be tryed. I will try different tricks and i'll decide wich one looks better in this case.
  23. I wanted to show the little tool i coded to desgin my tiles. It's made in Flash, and i'm guessing that it could interest somebody here. If yes, i can make some "friendly user" upgrade and put online. How is it working : ------------------- On the left the original picture in JPG. On the bottom, the decrypted image and on the right, with a green zone, the BASIC code conversion. Everytime u press spacebar, it convert in BASIC the content of the green zone. You can choose 2 colors to be converted. By exemple, in this screenshot, i wanted to convert the black color and the red one. An auto increment is used to create a immediate BASIC LISTING, the black color is converted from ascii 32, and the red from ascii 82.
  24. The TI-99/4A will display a maximum of 4 sprites horizontally. And a maximum of 32 sprites per screen. An emulator may show more. Main character in Jungle Hunt has sprites stacked vertically. One or two sprites are used horizontally ... Screen characters can be used to simulate sprites or add extra color to sprites. Pac-Man (Atarisoft) has the eyes of the ghosts made up in the background characters. Try it out in Classic99 and then disable sprites (video menu). You'll see eyes moving around on their own. It's very interesting, i will try Qbert and Jungle Hunt under classic99 and disable the sprite to check how they did... Because on Jungle Hunt, on last stage, you have the 2 cannibals + hero on the same line, even sprite decomposed like you showed me, it's not possible in sprite. Same in Qbert, the balls have 2 colors, the hero have 3 colors, and snake only one. On pictures, you can see on same row 1 ball, 1 snake and the hero. I'm investigatinf UPADTE Qbert flickering (( on youtube it wasn't visible, but the eyes sometimes disappears... ...now checking with Jungle Jung
