    No video?

Alright! I got a fuzzy quality image of the game on my screen so it looks like it probably works. To Radioshack to get a RCA to Coax thingy! Thank you

    No video?

I just picked up a 7800, and I can't get a video signal from it. does the 7800 not work with automatic switch boxes? the thing didnt come with the normal box, and Im just wondering if theres a way to connect this thing just so I can test if it actually works. The Power is comming on The LED is lit but no video no sound
  3. I didn't rule out the H6 its just many people I know don't take a second to answer the question and just say "The Heavy Sixer". which is annoying. The Vader, Jr. and 7800 caught my eye cause of there non traditional yet still retro looks (you also gotta love a chrome nameplate with a rainbow). Ehh one day I'll get the classic when a deal for it and many games comes up (and when the next book shelf is made).
  4. Alright Thanks guys! The local shop I used to go to quite often said they had a 7800 in working condition with it's power cord for a nice price. So I'm going to jump for that. Btw to Schizophretar yeah I don't consider myself a collector, I only buy games that look interesting and Id want to play. So I should have said "library" .
  5. Hello I finally want (and have the space to) to get a 2600 and start a collection. I was wondering what you guys would suggest when it comes to the different 2600 models. Many of you would probably say the H6, But I am not a collector and I just like something reliable. On a further note what are the dimensions of the 6 and 4 switch models?
  6. Recently my family got a new TV for the living room (replacing one of those TVs that are literally a piece of furniture) its a Dynex 40 inch I dunno much about it... it was just cheap and wasn't this giant monster. However its not detecting my Jaguar (when plugged in to the AV/Component ) yet it detects every other console with AV I have. It also detects my VCR, and I can play my jaguar can play through the VCR, but my VCR has some problems with it as well... Any ideas why its not detecting the Jaguar? and how to solve it? Furthermore... remember how VCRs always had multi AV ins? but DVD players, cable boxes, and BluRay players don't, anyone know of a cheap kind of device that could do this? I dont care if i have to press a button, or switch, it beats having to move the TV just to change consoles. Thanks for any help *Edit* A Dynex 24 inch detects the Jaguar just fine.
  7. I Love It! it looks so smooth shiny and unique! Did you also change the little light? or is it still red?
  8. I wish I could go, well if I ever get the chance to go to the UK Ill plan it at a time of Jagfest
  9. While planning to replace the rubber pad (or fix) on the Dpad, I found out one of the screws on my controller is stripped, (top left) any ideas how to get it out? I tried rubber bands hammering lightly a screw driver, I havent drilled, i'll save that for last cause this is my only controller
  10. Hover strike came in and... wow... uhh motion sickness, or lack of visablity of whats in front and low fps, pick your poison

  12. If you think about it. they were mapped to the buttons that are hardest to use, 1,2,3 are I found easy-ish to press whenever. 4,6 though many games didn't have them for strafing, Its ok cause if I did get a pro controller (Which I really want but am not going to spend $80) I would probably put my most used weapon in IS (The Gatling gun) on the 4, or 6 spot, for a fast weapon change. 7,8,9 are not often used as far to my knowledge and even is IS they are only the rifle or chainsaw, and the fist... from what I know of there are SNES, and Megadrive programmable pads or something, they use an odd system for extra buttons (but so useful when wanting a button to do a hadouken) and the Jaguar's standard controllers are really hollow. They could probably have made it like that, with the controller costing maybe back then $10 more, though Im not 100% sure. They really couldn't have ingame options of changing it cause it would not match the overlay, and the pro controller wasn't made yet! If the makers knew about it I have no doubt they make the controls fit well into it, but they most likely wanted to make the buttons easy to press so they were going all button combos, and first numbers.
  13. to quote someone I know "It has half the features of today's netbooks, at twice the price" - some guy I watched a video of with this thing said that this thing can directly compete with laptops... Id love to see the thing compete with my laptop. Maybe it will compete with netbooks, and the electronic books (that I don't understand why you need when I have the physical copy, wich also doesn't need to be charged.) Im personally skeptical about touch screens, its not that great of an idea, specially when holding a down button is smoother, more reliable, and works 1st time, rather then a constant scroll, scroll, scroll. I guess Im not a modern kid... I like physical buttons, copies, w/e over the digital.
  14. Im thinking to way back when, and I think the first time I saw the atari jaguar (even thought I didn't realize what it was) was when I was extremely young. I definitely remember I wanted to watch a movie with my dad, so I walk in and sit next to him. after a while I believe the Doom commercial played and if that didn't scare me enough, right after that it turns out he was watching the godfather and the horse head scene comes on. I was never so scared! I believe that is the first time I saw it, I'm not 100% certain due to being so young, scared, and oh gosh long ago, - even then idk if this was a vhs tape my dad recorded a time before...
