hey guys i was just wondering, i relized this afternoon that my original 4 switch system is just about to turn 23 years old when it hit me, that since the day i took it out of its box ive never had to relace a part or make a repaire, its never givin me a problem till last month when i replaced the mother board. i was just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had the same luck..

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2600 ONCE, THE BEST THING TO DO IS TRY IT ON A FEW OTHER TV SETS IN ANOTHER HOME. I SPENT A FORTUNE ON A MOTHER BOARD AND NEW POWER ADAPTER, THE PROBLEM YOUR HAVING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR ATARI, ITS THE VOLTAGE IN YOUR HOUSE.DO YOU SOME TIMES NOTICE THE LIGHT EVER GETTING DIM FOR A SEC OR 2, THE REASON YOU SET GETS FUZZY AND GREY IS BECAUSE EVERYTIME THE VOLTAGE DROPS INSTEAD OF YOUR ATARI GETTING NINE VOLT ITS GETTING 71/2 TO 8. HENCE THE GAME STILL PLAYING BUT THE SCREEN TURNING BLACK AND WHITE, ALSO IF YOU LIVE CLOSE TO AN AIR PORT OR POWER COMPANY SOME TIME THE RF FREQUINCY CAN WREAK HAVOC ON YOUR SYSTEM BUT I DOUGHT ITS THAT, SO BEFORE YOU START SPENDING MONEY ON PARTS YOU DONT NEED USE PROSSES OF ELEMINATION AND DO LIKE I SAID TAKE IT TO A FRIENS HOUSE AND TRY ANOTHER TV SET, AND LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES, PS SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS

hi, i agree with oessi, and lonesome, dont waste your time and money, your best bet is to hold on to it for testing purposes. anyone who owns a 7800 most likely has pp2 since it came with the console as combat did with the 2600, but thanx for asking.

hi rob, your asking for a tall order when it comes to a favorite game, i dont think that i, or anyone can narrow it down to just one game,so ill list a few that have my attention at the moment.

those are a few that i love and i know im leavinf a few out, but they know who they are,lol. But to answer you question about my favorite joystick.i would have to say the cx40. theres none like it, its part of our childhood. how bout you, any favs you have with carts and controllers??
