The quality is much better using the adapter on a Colecovision syestm, but on a large screen the colors are blanched out. Is there any way to avoid this?

How about Lord of the Rings using the animated film's logo?

I have a 55" flat screen and I plugged my Atari into it (with upgraded a/v cables) and it looks horrible. The colors are bland, etc. This doesn't happen on my smaller TV, just on this one. It no the TV because I play Colecovision on it and that looks fine. Just the Atari looks bad. Is there any way to correct this?

Yurkie is your best bet. You will pay more on shipping, but it will be headache-free.

I had my Colecovision cleaned and modded to have yellow & red cables connect the a/v to my flat screen TV by a gentleman named Yurkie on the Colecovision board. Does anyone here offer that service for the Atari 2600?

I brought my 2600 into Radio Shack a few weeks ago to modify the cable and the employees came out of the back room to look at it. They were amazed! Strange, they are a dime a dozen on eBay.
