  1. Gotta be a Coleco vaporware title if you go by the picture of the cart provided by Retroillucid.
  2. HDTV1080.... the ColUSB is not a power supply, it is an power adapter that lets one connect a USB style power supply/cable to the CV and converts the necessary voltages from the USB power supply/cable to what the CV needs (-5, +5, +12). You say it powers the Adam? How? You are not supposed to have power connected to the CV when the EM#3 is connected. You have to connect power to the EM#3 Memory Cobsole's 9-pin power connector. I guess it's possible but the Data Drive (s) probably won't work.
  3. It's really a win / win situation. You allow more people to join the club (albeit without the "Secret Game" offer) if they are late to the party and further membership fees collected help CollectorVision finance all the great projects they have going on. So many people have missed out on Homebrews releases over the years due to various reasons and we all know that this has been a major turn off for many when looking to get more involved in the CV Community.
  4. A lot of people have already expressed the same thing.... including me!!!
  5. Btw, for a Moderator... Sean has stated that he has tried to join AtariAge recently in order to post about his project, but has never been approved. If someone could look into this for him, it would be appreciated.
  6. Bump for a lot of ColecoVision CIBs and Opcode SGM available.
  7. Not an auction, but I have 90 ColecoVision CIBs available as well an an Opcode SGM in my Sales thread..... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/215432-niads-sales-thread-89-colecovision-cibs-opcode-sgm/?p=2808381
  8. Let's revisit this post.... I should have stated that the Club should remain open for anyone to join at anytime BUT the first 100 to join receive the "Secret Game". For those that join late and are not eligible to receive the "Secret Game", CollectorVision could offer a reduced membership fee and these members receive everything else that will be made available. It's understandable to limit things when their are $$$ expenses $$$ to be incurred such as the production of a CIB release, but everything else like access to a ROM Vault is just a matter of time in setting things up for the members.
  9. The old AV mods for the ColecoVision improperly draw sound and you will get low volume output with the Opcode SGM and Exp. Mod. #1 Atari Adapter. You should draw sound for AV mods from the Cap at C88.... I think the left leg of the CAP if I recall correctly.
  10. There is a new SD Drive solution for the Coleco ADAM that has been developed by Seam Myers. There are numerous improvements made over the first ADAMnet VDD made available by MicroFox a number of years ago and all the information is available on the Coleco ADAM Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2080166502039901&set=gm.10157181545517845&type=3&theater&ifg=1) as well as on GitHub (https://github.com/Kalidomra/AdamNet-Drive-Emulator?fbclid=IwAR1Z6pQwLwBW9v2OjTHpPTppQ2SPFwHoxVu2C8_0bRCX7rUcOYLgghk3sfI). This project does not look like it will be mass produced for commercial sale, but all information is available if you have the skills to make one yourself as John Lundy has done and others are planning to do. There is also a possible project to develop a Data Drive SD solution that installs in one of the Data Drive bays and connects to the 8 and 9-pin data drive connectors by a student of former Coleco employee Howard E. You can find this thread on the Coleco ADAM facebook page.
  11. I see no reason to limit membershio to 100 especially when CollectorVisiion has sone huge expenses coming down the pipeline with production of the Phoenix as well as having to pay the programmer of the "secret game" and those productiion costs. I know it was billed as a limited membership, but why do that to fans of the system especially considering how so many have missed out on game releases over the years.
  12. So, do you still own the Energy Quiz cartridge? If so, could you share some details about it or pictures of the cartridge and screenshots? That would be awesome to see this after so many years of just hearing about it.
  13. There always the possibility that the picture was flipped/reversed when it comes to this stuff. I've seen it before and most likely we'll never know for sure.
  14. No, the EM #1 Atari Adapter not work with the Phoenix. Now the good news, an Atari 2600 core comes built-in which means you can play 2600 rom images loaded via the SD Drive.
  15. There are a number of CV Legacy games that go into demo/attract mode if a game isn't started. I don't think any Coleco releases, but definitely a couple 3rd Party releases do as well as a growing number of Homebrew releases.
  16. There are 3 confirmed to exist. - 2 are identical to the one pictured with the last Prototype CV, ie. they look like the black hand controller that comes with the system but with the Speed Roller. - 1 is an earlier prototype of the above with small differences. Anyway, I sold mine to Coleco_Master with the Purple box CV Prototype and ValkyrieSilk now owns the other two that were originally found by Yurkie.
  17. Another option is the AtariMax Ultimate SD Cart (www.atarimax.com) seeing as Team Pixelboy has released countless rom images for free over the years on Dec. 25th in this Forum, a lot of them are SGM required games. You can also join the Collectorvision Club for $150 and have access to the rom image files of their games that they will make available to their members. The CollectorVision Phoenix is another option to play these game rom images when the system is released later this year. These are just some further options you have instead of tracking down the actual cartridge releases.
  18. Sounds like the wrong rom version was burnt to the ROM and you got an Infinite Lives version for beta testing.
  19. Yes, you need to connect the CV Power Supply to the Roller Controller just the same as you still need 4 C-Batteries to use the Driving Module with that controller interface.
  20. Yep, haven't updated the Collector's List since June of 2015 and there have been a lot of Homebrew releases in that 3 1/2 year span. Have fun playing catch-up!!!
  21. Copying a Data Pack to a Disk is not a problem at all IN MOST INSTANCES and there are numerous programs available that will aid you in doing so such as File Manager v3.0, Backup+ 3.0, Quickopy, etc., etc. The only thing you have to be aware of is the actual amount of blocks used on the Data Pack compared to only having 160K available on a Disk. There are special Data Packs called Right Directory DDPs (used for the Super Games like DK, DK Jr., Zaxxon, Dragon's Lair, Sub Roc, Jeopardy) as you mentioned and you can't copy these directly to a Disk without modifying the program code seeing as how Coleco programmers arranged the program code on the Data Pack to shorten load times. All the aforementioned programs where disassembled in the 80s and modified to work from 160K disk. All the images are archived and available for download to use on an emulator, copy to an microSD Card for use with the MicroFox VDD or copied back to actual ADAM Disks thru numerous DOS or Windows utility programs.
  22. We are talking about the here and now, not 30 years ago when apps like SpellingAID were relevant. If someone was to use their Adam today for word processing, SpeedyWrite v2.0 with SpeedyWrite Spell Checking resident in memory for immediate spell checking while you type is a much better option than using SmartWriter to type in a document, save it, load SpellingAid and then wait a considerable amount of time for the dictionary to be copied to the Ramdisk. Yes, I know all about Adams Desktop, PrBoot and or RamBoot by Walters. Again, fun to try them out, but not relevant anymore especially with the IDE CF Card Package available as well as the VDD. Again, for anyone looking for a Memory Expander, see my post above.
  23. Correct on all counts. You should join the Coleco ADAM Facebook page seeing as a former Coleco employee who developed some of the firmware used by the hardware and is very knowledge about the entire architecture of the ADAM is an active poster. Under EOS, this is incorrect. The Drive assignments are hardcoded into the Operating System so in SmartWriter Data Drive #1 is always A, Data Drive #2 is always B, Disk Drive #1 is always C and Disk Drive #2 is always D. In SmartBASIC, the Data Drives are "d1" and "d2" and the Disk Drives are "d5" and "d6". Most don't know that the ADAM supports up to 4 Digital Data Drives and 4 Disk Drives thru EOS, however the firmware that was written and included on the Disk Drive controller board only supports 2 Disk Drives and I assume the same holds true for the firmware for the Digital Data Drives. In SmartBASIC, these additional drive assignments would be "d3" and "d4" for Data Drives and "d7" and "d8" for Disk Drives. Under CP/M you are correct. The drive CP/M is booted from becomes A: and then additional drives in the systems are assigned B:. C:. etc. Memory Expanders are assigned M: It is an amazing computer for the era and was expanded way beyond it's designation with: - 64K up to 2MB Memory Expanders - Parallel Interfaces - Serial Interfaces - MFM and RLL Hard Drives - IDE Interface Cards - 80 Column Units - Midi Interface - Speech Synthesizers - Clocks Cards etc., etc., etc. Modern hardware devices have also been developed to use CF Cards thru an IDE Interface and SD Cards thru the ADAMNet Virtual Disk Drive. Something that I have been telling people for over 30 years especially BITD when everyone was screaming for a Mouse to be developed for the ADAM. Well, a Mouse was, but the Roller Controller was still a better option.
  24. A 64K Memory Expander is plenty for normal ADAM use to insure that one could run all software that requires a Memory Expander. A 256K Memory Expander is ideal as far as I am concerned, especially for those who just use EOS. A 512K Memory Expander is more than enough for use on the ADAM by power users. A 1MB Memory Expander would be overkill for anyone other than an ultra power-user of CP/M or T-DOS for running something like a BBS.
