Coleco ADAM microSD Floppy Emulator (user review)
NIAD replied to HDTV1080P's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Go for it! -
Teleganes used the green shaded plastic clamshell case for almost all of their ColecoVision cartridge and ADAM data pack releases. Now being Telegames, that does not mean that they may have used other colored plastic clamshell cases that they had on hand or ordered if the greens where not available at the time of need.

Atarimax Colecovision Ultimate SD Multi-Cart - CVSDOS.STO
NIAD replied to bszarek001's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Steve Tucker has all the files needed posted on his site along with upgrades that are posted in his forums section. -
There is still big demand for Bosconian, so little chance of a rom release... in a couple more years, maybe.

Send Pixelboy and Retroillucid a PM to discuss matters or production and distribution. If your work is good enough, they will gladly work out a deal with you.
-
Gotta be mindful of reproductions that look authentic. I posted pics of the real deal in another thread that you should be able to find with the Search function.

Meteoric Shower was released by Bit Corp. In CIB form throughout parts of the European market. A few CIBs still exist including the one that I sold to ValkerieSilk.
-
Post your games in the Buy, Sell & Trade forum. As far as the 5200, there is a forum covering that system where you can ask your questions.
-
Seriously, Mike, your posts and attitude in this forum are getting old.

Wouldn't work and more than likely all you'd get is a blue screen and load buzzing sound audio.

Coleco Adam: Error in E.O.S. Programmers Manual
NIAD replied to Milli Vee's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Don't be shy... make the corrections and post away. -
Parker Bros. released a number of their games using the 1 piece box. There is no conspiracy and Q*bert is a $15-$20 game in CIB form no matter if it is the 1 or 2 piece style box. Read thru the CV & Adam Collectors List that is pinned at the top of this forum. That will answer all your questions.

Is Opcode EVER going to Release Donkey Kong Arcade!
NIAD replied to ValkerieSilk's topic in Opcode Games
The community knows all too well that you are a perfectionist and we appreciate the heck out of that! Why not start a new poll thread to see what everyone's opinion is on the matter of adding stickers to the boxes you have already had made? I think you know most would be agreeable to the addition of stickers to the boxes so that they don't go to waste and then if there are further runs made, there will be a redesigned box style which means another variation for collectors to purchase. -
ColecoPlug (Colecovision USB power supply) can be preordered!
NIAD replied to EvilDragon17's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
The preorder opened just 40 days ago and production is not an overnight process. Give them a little time please before posting all the "where's my product" messages... this is the way of the CV Homebrew scene and has been for over a decade. -

Is Opcode EVER going to Release Donkey Kong Arcade!
NIAD replied to ValkerieSilk's topic in Opcode Games
Yeah, it's definetely been a trying couple years for you especially considering the whole Cardillo hoopla. No one needs to deal with the BS, any of it, when this is a hobby and an investment of ones own time and money. Re. the SGM Pro boxes that have the Coleco logo on it... couldn't you just add a non-removable sticker to it. I know it wouldn't bother me and i'm sure most would be agreeable to this in order to save further expense and time in your part Anyway, glad to hear (pun) the SGM Pro is back on and a decisiin re. the prometheus Lite was made for you due to the Phoenix without further expense to you. -

Is Opcode EVER going to Release Donkey Kong Arcade!
NIAD replied to ValkerieSilk's topic in Opcode Games
So the SGM "Pro" is back on again? So... - new run of SGM = off - SGM Pro = on - Prometheus Lite = off - Omni = on If the SGM situation is correctly listed, will DKA support both sound chips used in the SGM and SGM Pro? Guess I'll have to have a looksee at the other threads that i haven't read with new messages. -
On the Coleco ADAM Facebook page, John Lundy has posted pics of a number of mods he has made to the MicroFox ADAMnet Virtual Disk Drive. Posted here, but check out the Facebook page where he also posted full details of his internal mounting in the Memory Console of a VDD drive. From John: External VDD mod project this time around. I wanted to have an external VDD with all the same upgrades I did on my internal VDD project. I went with soft tactile switches to get rid of the hard to push noisy originals, upgraded to a white character LCD, modified circuit board to always have backlight on, added micro SD to SD flex cable inside unit, and used better looking screws for the front panel. Also, just added a power switch. Parts used: - Micro SD to SD flex adapter - Amazon P/N# B00S6AMWK2 - Tactile switches (will need to add a piece of perf board under to make the correct height - Mouser P/N# 688-SKHHAN (qty 3) - White character LCD - Mouser P/N# HDM16216L-5-Y10S

As I mentioned above, a PS/2 Keyboard was converted for use with the ADAM. The mod was internal in the keyboard and then a PS/2-ADAMnet Adapter was made. I think this one was modded by Thomas Mackie.

Seems that you could check for the extra RAM that the ADAM provides much the same way that Opcode checks for the extra RAM of the Opcode Super Game Module... the setu of the extra RAM in the SGM was inpied and completely compatible with the ADAM. You could also check a memory address for the existence of EOS. Nanochess or Opcode would be the ones to ask.

CollectorVision Phoenix Pre-Order is now live!
NIAD replied to Bmack36's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
So CV support thru Cartridge or SD Card, Atari 2600 support thru SD Card and later possibly a CV-to-2600 cart adapter. How about going for the "Era Triifecta" with an Intellivision core at release or soon after via SD Card loading? Just thinking out loud because the Inty community is much larger than the CV community and could boost sales signifantly for the initial production run. From what I read about the Inty Amico, it doesn't sound the least bit appealing to me and planned release isn't until 10/10/2020. Also, seems Opcode has lost interest in producing his CV compatible system (Prometheus Lite) in favor of moving full steem ahead with the Omni and would be nice to see him make a definitive announcement for all those that might be waiting to hear about that system before committing to the Phoenix. -
CollectorVision Phoenix Kickstarter is now live!
NIAD replied to Bmack36's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
It's not that we are trying to be unwelcoming, it's a simple matter that the CollectorVision Phoenix can not be a "Be all, end all" for everyone no matter hiw hard CollectorVision has and will continue to try for us. They are a small retro Homebrew company and are trying their best to keep a particular price point while giving us supporters/fans as full a featured system out of the box as possible. Myself, I work a full time construction job in a northern state which means I am outside in all the weather extremes imaginable. This doesn't leave a lot of play time for me especially with raising two children and everything else that comes with supporting a family, so when I do get the time to sit down and play some games, it's all about the enjoyment of playing these games and not about having perfect or near perfect timing, no pings, little to no latency, etc., etc. Just different strokes for different folks. Most important of all to remember is that the Phoenix is easily expandable and the possibilities for future expansion devices has been broached and should be good news for you. First and foremost, we got to get these systems produced in quantity and then things can move forward from there. -
It still is if you don't let the Kennedys and Cardillos of the world ruin it for you. Remember they weren't, have never been and will never be Coleco.
-
Not really seeing as it is from an early run in the original cardboard box/packaging. So a collector that may have missed this version would certainly be interested in it at this price as well as someone who does not want to wait for the next run sometime next year.
