  1. I just had at least 3 of my virtual boys get display issues after not being played for over a year.

they're all ticking time bombs, they will all eventually fail.

    :(

I have more virtual boys to test still, but i'm sure most of them developed the same display issues. ugh.

  2. sold me an atari 2600 game for cheap, accidentally sent me wrong product, let me keep it for free & sent another cart of the same title I was supposed to get.

game works perfectly, excellent communication & kindness.

an awesome person. I would totally deal with him again!

  3. hmmmm.

well i don't really know about 2600 because i don't remember.... i was too young, my older brothers and sisters had it, then it broke and they kept it hidden away so i never got to play it until i was old enough to learn about it, look on ebay and buy myself a bundle.

I wanna say like... Asteroids/Ms. Pac-Man/Pitfall/Jungle Hunt or something? like a whole bunch of games at once.

NES also too young to remember, but I'm sure my family got the Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt pack-in system bundle

then we had a bunch of games (about 20 from before I can remember)... I wanna say Mario bros 3/Metroid... etc....

Genesis -- Sonic The Hedgehog pack-in

Sega CD -- Sewer Shark pack-in

SNES -- let me see if i remember, i think when i bought my system I got a super game boy with it with...uhhh star fox & F-zero ?? i think?

    Playstation -- frogger 2 & spyro 3

    N64 -- Mario Kart

DS -- don't remember which i bought first... i wanna say wario ware touched! was one of them if not the first

5200 -- came bundles with a crap load of games, so i can't really say which was my first ..probably galaxian since i played that the most until i got more games

GBA -- super mario advance / super dodge ball advance

    game boy -- tetris/super mario land pack-ins

    wii --uhh, wii sports

PS2 -- uhh, i think i want to say The Bouncer

    360 -- ummm, halo 3??/guitar hero 3?

PSP -- came with ratchet and clank: size matters

GameCube-- I wanna say Sonic Adventure 2: Battle ???maybe

NGPC -- i dont remember.. sonic or metal slug

Game Gear -- came with Super Columns and i also got Sonic Drift 2 with it because my mom made a mistake and got it instead of sonic the hedgehog 2.... BEST MOM MISTAKE OF MY CHILDHOOD EVER!

Xbox -- Sega GT 2002 / Jet Set Radio Future combo disc pack-in

    Virtual Boy -- Mario's Tennis pack-in

Intellivision -- came bundled with a bunch of games, so can't really name a first

e-Reader -- probably Donkey Kong. I'm not too sure

Game Boy Color -- Wario Land 2

Saturn -- came bundled with a bunch of games, but whatever, i'll say daytona usa

3DS -- Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition

7800 -- came with a bunch, but I think the first one I played was Robotron

master system -- i donno, hang on/safari hunt ??i guess

    Jaguar -- cybermorph

32X -- Knuckles Chaotix, I remember clearly the day I got my 32X working correctly after that hellish nightmare of trying to hooking it up, this was the game I tested it on

    Wii U -- Nintendo Land

    PS3 -- uhhhhhh.... littlebigplanet i guess

    Dreamcast -- Blue Stinger

    (sorry for the random order)

  4. Thanks for another great review!

I actually have a complete copy of Dracula, though I have not played it much, so this review was extra cool!

It is a semi-confusing game to just jump right into, which is probably why I haven't played it much... I'll have to give it another go!

I definitely learned a few things from this video about this game.

I love owning this game, I'm very fond of collecting Dracula/Castlevania games =)

can't wait for the next review! Keep up the great work!

I would love to see a review for Night Stalker in the future, another favorite of mine for the system.

Also, I'm looking forward to seeing IntelliVoice editions for the few Intellivoice games as well.

  5. Thanks again for another great review video, looks like I can add another game to my INTV wishlist!

Unfortunately, this game looks to be a rare/expensive one. I'll keep an eye out though, It looks really fun!

So far, All of my INTV games have boxes and are mostly complete, I would love to have them all like that, but I have to learn soon that some are just too rare and expensive to have a complete copy.

  7. (sorry for double post-- but)

    • i think i found a temporary solution

    •
i may keep it after all

    •
i swapped out the official SNES plug i had for my virtual boy and will use that for what i need because this generic plug seems to work fine with my virtual boy

    •
i just hope it wont kill my system or anything. it concerns me

  8. it's definitely the plug.

just bought one of those 3-in-one plugs (brand name is "Orbital Accessories")

works, as in it turns on the system...

just it gives me green lines that scroll up/down the screen.

    I can't deal with that.

I'm going to try to return it as soon as I can get back over there (an hour drive for me from where i bought it, sadly)

p.s., the issue is NOT my system, i have an official plug here as well, i just needed an extra one for my other system.

the plug is the problem. nothing else.

    this product is a p.o.s.

  9. I love Beauty & The Beast. it's my favorite Intellivision game.

ever since I got Intellivision Lives! for xbox I became very interested in the intellivision system, and beauty and the beast was one of the few games not on that compilation.

so i downloaded an emulator and the game and got hooked on it.

I quickly bought myself an intellivision system and as soon as i saw beauty and the beast in the wild I immediately picked it up and have loved the fact that i own it and play it on my system whenever i want.

    awesome awesome game.

a must for any intellivision owner.

  10. lol.

I will never understand the appeal to people making their own labels for games...

I mean, I understand if your copy of the game has no label, then sure, by all means make one for yourself..

but what the heck, why would you make a bunch and try to sell them?

maybe if you were a well-known artist that I really enjoyed other work from... and that's a huge MAYBE, because after all, it's still just an E.T. cart.

  11. so here is my case:

I have an NTSC 7800(and 2600) and an NTSC flat/led/lcd TV.

I have a bunch of PAL 2600 games, and I would like to play them as I would a normal working NTSC 2600 game (you know, with color and the right size etc.)

when I put my PAL games into my NTSC systems (either 7800 or 2600) they always appear in black & white on my TV

and a chunk of the bottom of the screen is not displayed.

I guess I am lucky enough that my PAL games work at all being that I use both NTSC systems and TV...

But is there anything I can do other than finding a different TV?

My systems are not modded for A/V and I don't want them to be!

any suggestions, or am I stuck in B&W PAL 2600 game world?

(and no, I don't want to resort to emulation)

will any converters work for me?

  12. yeah, I need the retron 5 to come out already so I can start collecting japanese famicom and super famicom games. there are so many I want..... this will make it so easy.

I could care less about the gba port, I'm mainly excited to be able to play the japanese games + finally have a top-loading NES system.

UGH I WANT IT SO BADLY!

    Everything about it sounds amazing.

  13. well, i was making a reply to this but i accidentally deleted it before i was done :(

let's try to see if I can remember what I said....

this list will be a hard one to make for sure...

but here it goes, i'll try...

This isn't necessarily a list of my most rare items or anything, but mainly my favorite ones...

you can always view my whole collection here: http://backloggery.com/Kulp

    1) Space Invaders Virtual Collection for Virtual Boy (complete copy)

--so I paid $250 for this on ebay... it is the most I have ever spent on a single video game... a lot of money at the time, but I believe it is worth even more now, and I am very proud to say I own it.

    2) Custer's Revenge for Atari 2600 (complete copy)

--I spent $75 for this at my favorite used video game store. My first "adult" video game purchase, and I'm very proud to say I own it.

even got a picture of myself buying it at the store, haha.

    110bqs8.jpg

    3) Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (complete for both Genesis and Master System)

--Very proud to have both of these games. I am particularly fond of Michael Jackson, and these video games are a perfect example of how awesome he was, not only as an amazing musician, but also a gamer. The man did the music for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and sadly, not many people know or acknowledge this fact.

    4) Zero Wing (Mega Drive/ PAL genesis)

--very proud to have this game. ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!

that's all I need to say, lol. If you don't know, look it up.

    5) my entire Castlevania series collection as a whole

--I take pride in the fact that I managed to collect all american-released Castlevania games. They may not all be complete, but I love them all and now every Castlevania game that comes out from now on, I have to own lol... what a horrible night to have a curse.

Soon I will be collecting the other-region versions as well.
