  1. the link is still broken... can we just post suggestions here in this thread then? I think you still need to add Red Sea Crossing to the list, and I believe Springer should be higher than a 7/10. Also, some of the adult games are harder to find than the others, so some should be higher than a 5/10 Also, possibly move Chase The Chuckwagon down a knotch, there are always a bunch on ebay. I donno
  2. NES Powerglove!!! jealous! yeah, the cart with the T-handle is possibly Spider MAze which is pretty rare and worth definitely over $100. Smurf's save the day is a hard to find one as well, and that snoopy: red baron game is a slightly rare one too. pretty darn good haul, especially for free! WOW! so jealous. you have an Atari 2600 Jr. there. just a later model that came out, still just a 2600. I see you have Ocarina of Time for N64. a Gold cart too, yeah, that'll go for a pretty penny if you decide to sell it. I'd tell you if the snes games you have are rare or not, but I can't see them.

fan art made for musician Army of 2600. Made of 104 Atari 2600 cartridges, this is NOT my whole Atari 2600 collection.

  5. yeah it could be your controller. I know that if I use a joystick, then use a genesis controller... I find that the genesis controller is A LOT more responsive, smooth and fast.
  6. yeah, both games/sides are in B&W. I just tried it on another console (another 4-switch woody) and same issue! and what's even more odd is the guy from ebay said it worked in color on 2 different systems he tried it on before he sold it! what the heck is the issue here?
  7. if those scans are correct, it looks like I have the PAL label. :/ weird, you'd think PAL games won't say "made in USA" on the back on the cartridge. well... so then I guess I have a PAL cart.... my first 2600 PAL cart.. is that why it appears B&W, because I'm not using a PAL system??
  8. whenever I start the game up, it flashes some random color for a second, then switches to the game in b&w
  9. NTSC. Sony Bravia, works perfectly for the other 190 or so atari games I have.
  10. I just received a Robin Hood / Sir Lancelot cart from ebay. it is currently the only atari game I have that won't play in color... WHY?! I was just wondering, is this something that happens sometimes, or is this a common issue with that game or double ender carts in general, or what? obviously I want to figure this out because it's a rare game and it wasn't cheap. I cleaned the cart on both ends and still only plays in black & white. The cart says Made in U.S.A., so I know it's not a PAL cart (right??) (and I can't check if this is normal because the 2600 database here doesn't have a cart scan for this game) Because I read something about NTSC games not appearing in color on PAL systems, so I thought maybe it works the other way around too... but that was just a thought because like I said, I don't think the cart is PAL. I tried switching the system (4 switch) on and off a lot fast, and still no changes. same with the b/w /color switch. I'm glad the game works, but I really would like to enjoy it in color. any suggestions? keep in mind my system only has this issue with this game
  11. I don't have one of those, but thanks for the reply, I honestly didn't notice that scratch :/ There HAS to be something wrong with them, I just picked up my 3rd broken copy of Mountain King. SO UPSET! I'm going to return it though, still looking for a working Mountain King though... found my working replacement for Fast Eddie already. Awesome suggestion! I might do that... but I'm also contemplating using the cart as another geocache. only 4-switch woody's... that's all I have access to right now :/ 2 different ones, both = fail. now all I'm wondering about is if like half the Mountain King's in existence are broken!? I know my friend just bought one and it works fine on his Atari 2600 Jr. ....just angers me a little... must...find..a...working...one....
  12. so I've only had 3 dead 2600 games since I first started collecting... oddly enough 2 of which being Mountain King (which I've both since turned into geocaches, so they're gone) and the 3rd being Fast Eddie. That being said, I've only ever opened up 3 2600 games... Not sure if this is normal, or if this is what caused the game to be non-working... but there is a metal cover over (sorry, not very technical here) part of the chip.. Now, I wouldn't say it's oxidizing/getting rusty.. But it's definitely lost a good portion of its "shine" The metal piece just looks old. I tried everything... and by everything, I mean lots of q-tips and rubbing alcohol over the whole chip, several times... that's about the extent of my knowledge and what I can do. anyone got a diagnosis as to why it doesn't work? (I bought it used and it never worked while I owned it) Ideas of what to do with it? (now that it's been opened and the end label has been ripped due to that, and obviously the screw hole now) pics: http://i48.tinypic.com/24g4u4g.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/25tvn9u.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2z7n0c4.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/14pclj.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/2wphvn5.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/2qvh0mx.jpg
  13. thanks for the reply. I'm hoping/guessing it was factory done. the label shows no signs of being tampered with. there are no globs of glue or tape or anything... so either it was re-attached very well, or as I'm guessing is probable, it was done in-factory. I hope it wouldn't lower its value... that just wouldn't make much sense to me...
  14. so just the other day I purchased a copy of Miner 2049er at this awesome video game store. My friend also purchased one (they had like 3 there). When we got back to my friend's house I noticed when I put the game into the 2600 to test it out that the end label was upside down so that the wording is facing away from you. I checked my friend's copy and his end label was placed on correctly. So, do I have some super rare variation of this game, or does this not affect the rarity at all? Does anyone else have this version of Miner 2049er, or have you had a similar experience with any other Atari game? edit: I tried attaching the picture, but I guess it didn't work. this will have to do I guess...
  15. I noticed I have a couple manuals for 2600 games that don't have scans listed when I look them up. I'd love to scan them and have them added to the database, but I'm not sure where to go to do this... I noticed when I looked up the game Exocet and click on the "end label only" page located here: http://atariage.com/...html?LabelID=76 it links to a non-working blank page where it says please contact us. I don't have any scans for that game in particular, but it's just an example of me trying to find a way to contribute and failing. can I have an email address to send things to? a submit page where I can add photo attachments? or even let me know if it's ok if I just post them on the message board somewhere here? Thanks! edit: I might also have better looking / label variants not shown in the database as well. are those accepted as well? because I know not all of your cartridge scans are in excellent condition
