  1. Sounds like he's theorizing that Atari knew the 2600 game didn't look like the arcade version so they broke tradition and put a literal representation of the graphics on the box, possibly to head off complaints that customers didn't get what they were expecting. Right, and indeed I think it was a good move, still we know people complained a lot anyway...
  2. Sold out already! Checked all our bookstores over here: they said it will arrive next month... if you guys don't buy all printed copies before that!
  3. Could WD-40 work as well as Detox-it? Sorry, no experience with these kind of cleaners....
  4. Missed this but that's ok since I'm trying to force myself to check on ebay less and less, at least for a while, or I'll get broke soon (my b'day is coming so I decided to buy myself something I really dreamed of since long ago: a Vectrex!! But you can imagine the shipping costs to have it sent over here... I really need to cool down now )
  5. Welcome to the group! Game collecting can be really an addictive and rewarding hobby and the Intellivision is a system that was way ahead of its time in many respects. BTW, yesterday I received the CIB Shark!Shark! I got off ebay for $4.75! One less to go!
  6. And don't forget NOS (New Old Stock)!!
  7. aarghhh.. can you remember me the meainings? CIB = cart+instruction+box BIN = buy it now ? NIB? Sure! NIB = New in Box Though I always thought CIB stood for Complete In Box...
  8. Hey, I noticed that auction ended at $81, which I guess is a reasonable price for this cart CIB (the BIN currently up start at $170, though they are for a NIB specimen...). Did you manage to win it? Cheers!
  9. There's one currently on Ebay eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110832686183 : I thought of bidding since I'd actually love to play this (it's another game where the Inty showed it was so much ahead of its time. Amazing!) but i doubt I'll ever be able to get the keyboard...
  10. What about Swords & Serpents? It has a clear ending, though you can't actually kill the dragon... still, we can say the game ends when facing the dragon?
  11. no problems on the other side of the other pond too!
  12. Hope to find it over here too (many good bookstores that were carrying RetroGamer closed recently ). really looking forward to reading this!
  13. We should bumb this every few years
  14. That was an epic surprise package! Btw, I really like the pencils!!
  15. Congrats!! I'm afraid I'll never get all the 125 as games like Spiker and Mud Buggies are getting too rare/expensive to buy online and here there are no chances to find them in the wild Anyway, one cart at a time and we'll see. I'm not in a hurry
  16. Right... what about a Ice Hockey Manager game then? Actually, making a simple old school RPG might be possible too...
  17. I like the football manager idea! And a simple football manager game, like the original one, can be written in basic so I guess it will be much easier to develop, at least for people like me who have never been that good with assembly
  18. What about the black screen (of death)? One of my systems suddenly went black... this is what can also happen with dirty carts/contacts but I clean everything carefully and tried several carts so it shouldn't be the case this time. Any suggestions on possible causes/fixes?
  19. The late 70s/early 80s were really like the"Belle Epoque"/"Gilded Age" of the early XX century, where the optimism and excitement for what the future was going to bring us reached new heights. In one word... great video! And now if Mattel would finally put their act together and deliver a proper Keyboard Component with a built-in Sony's blu-ray drive making the SonyVision 2.0....
