  1. Too bad all this happened just before the crash. it still amazes how no one saw that coming...
  2. Got it and finished reading it already! At times it seemed like some references were a bit forced and not really necessary (making the narration not as smooth as it could have been) but, nonetheless, this is really a page turner for us old retrogamers and I truly enjoyed reading it. Highly recommended!
  3. Ga-lah-ga all the way for me, (maybe ga-gga-ga if I have a particularly bad cold... )
  4. Try Montezuma's Revenge! that's one of my personal favorites
  5. Finally got a Harmony Cart for my 2600! Great stuff!!

by far my favorite atari-related purchase ever.

  6. Yeah, let me know! BTW, I checked for the t-shirts on that website I linked in my previous post: I added our brotherhood logo to the front of a black tee and the price would be US$17.40 (plus shipping, I guess). How does this compare to the prices of actual shops? Cheers!
  7. Micket bra! Jag alskar dig!! (... and that's (almost) all I can remember after having worked/studied in Stockholm for 6 months years back... )
  8. Ahh! The mighty power of the Intellivision! I did like the second pic: made me wonder whether they were trying to play B-17 with the AD&D overlay or the other way round!
  9. That's cool! Anyway, regarding the t-shirt, I found this website were it's possible to design our own t-shirt, graphics included. http://www.spreadshirt.com/create-your-own-t-shirt-C59 What do you think? Could this be a possibility?
  10. Wow! 7800 games under production simultaneously! That's multitasking!!
  11. do you have any experience in ECS development? if yes, can we share effort? Unfortunately I don't: I just got an ECS recently and I'm very curious to experiment with it...
  12. Actually, writing an ECS game is one of the things I'd like to do as soon as I finish the current iPhone game I'm working on in my free time... hopefully soon!
  13. Like the soon-to-be "AtariDude" I got an Intellivision as a kid but one of my cousins had a 2600 so I could play with him sometimes. I got my first 2600 off ebay (a nice 4 switch woodgrain made in Sunnyvale) soon after joining this forum. I now have three: besides the 4-switch (which I AV modded), a light sixer (both of these are lose but in good condition) and a 4 Switch Sears fully boxed and in mint condition, which is the most treasured item in my hardware collection
  14. Sounds very cool... I'll check it out! Thanks for the suggestion!
  16. Nice, maybe we should start an "INTV movie sightings" thread! I remember in "Grandma's Boy" (a really....ehm.... "particular" sort of movie shot in 2006: it's a Happy Madison production but, still, it went well beyond my expectations! ) the main character is a playtester in a gaming company: his desk is full of Inty games and the scene where he defeats another guy in a match of Frog Bog is memorable (but if you catch the movie with someone and they say you are a pervert, it's not my fault, ok? I DIDN"T recommend you to watch the whole uncut version!!)
  17. Rev, that's a great website! Thanks for the link! Akito, I guess asking permission directly to Keith is the best solution. If he doesn't reply, usually the "silence is assent" rule holds (that's what I was told by a lawyer years ago in similar situations). Cheers!
  18. Nice video and fantastic package! Mud Buggies!!! WOW!!!! Well done!
  19. Nope, there's someone: I got my AA Secret Santa gift from Mexico!! Maybe they just didn't see this thread yet... For the rest... think of Mariachi!!
  20. Ok, here is my current office desk with the new inspiring wallpaper, courtesy of CMart, on both monitors (The Pitfall and Safecracker carts are actually dead ones I use to showcase to my students when I talk about the Inty and game dev in the early 80s in class...) Now, if only my shelf at home would look like CMart's...
  21. Great! I guess it will take me many more years and lots of luck to have a (CIB?) complete collection, but I'll try BTW, I'm planning of using your collection in my teaching slides when discussing about our natural "collecting" instinct and how pervasive it is not only in game design but also throughout our lives, may I? Cheers!
  22. And, most likely, none of them today is aware of how much that game is worth now! Going back on topic, that's really a good list and last year, in fact, I did quite an effort to get a few of those titles: Fathom, Super Cobra and Tut (CIB) plus a lose Congo (with a shining repro box, though ) but I doubt I can get any other on the Top 15 list anytime soon since prices are really too high on ebay (BTW, my Diner is lose too).
  23. Started the new semester today: had students play Chip'n'Dale Rescue Rangers to kick off the Advanced Game Mechanics class! I guess they enjoyed it ;)
