  1. Right, and two built in controllers might not be feasible. I guess it should be a console only with 2 plugs to attach "real" Inty II style controllers?
  2. Nice!! I wonder how I was missing this thread (and indeed I was also wondering about all your new signatures... )
  3. Just got my package!! I placed it under the Christmas tree and I'll do my best to resist any temptation and open it only at the right time. In any case, regardless of its contents, muchas gracias senor Ricardo!
  4. > so I may substitute alle the boxes with imagic-parker etc. ones >Just make it out of images of overlays instead. Both sounds like very good ideas to me!
  5. Eventually, to be a little safer, I'd suggest you redo the image by placing the game covers in a different order so it becomes your own "interpretation" of a previous work. This is a common practice in the music recording industry for using artwork in the covers and booklets which is "inspired" by other works. Cheers!
  6. Just click on the "ask a question" in his auction. I did, as usual, but then I get a notification saying "Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question" and I am not allowed to contact him directly by writing a message.
  7. CIB Fathom starting with a bid of $4.99 only! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260916330313. While I don't need Fathom anymore, this guy is also listing quite a few other Imagic games I'm interested in but he doesn't look like he ships internationally and I couldn't even send him a message asking for it (seems like he blocked the contact seller option?). Well, I guess he won't get my money (nor any help in pushing up the prices ) . Cheers!
  8. Don't worry, keep it up and the results will come: you are the best dude around!
  9. Let me guess: that was supposed to be the "gift" but then SS was discouraged by all the posts written here and decided to unbox the cat at the very last minute and send Rockin' Kats instead!
  10. Yeah, especially when dealing with sellers with only a few feedbacks and who are not into video game collecting. Lesson learned.
  11. Wow! This can get a nomination for "deal of the year"! On my side, yesterday I got my NIB ECS. The price I paid was pretty good, I think ($150 shipped) but, to my horror, the ebay sender didn't wrap it at all and all stamps, "fragile" stickers and USPS tapes were applied all over the original box!! I'm carefully trying to remove as much as I can but the box is severely damaged by now I'm not going to leave this as *NIB* anyway (I'm going to open it on Christmas) but still...
  12. Great video thanks! Now I also feel inspired to give it a try!
  13. Ed, here is your Tutankham! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 230711527164
  14. There's this collection. Thanks! There are some nicely commented examples among those games and it's definitely a good starting point to learn about making games with the ECS!
  15. Just bought an ECS off ebay and I'm very curious about it, but I don't have any ECS games in my collection yet: I'll make it one of my collecting priorities for next year, I guess Is there any website with listings of ECS programs and games to type in? Yeah, I also used to do that back in the day with my C64!
  16. Exclusive interview to yours truly! Get it at http://www.commodorefree.com/issues.html (#56)

  17. Very good looking Truckin and He-Man hidden in this loose Inty II bundle! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200682681426
  18. LOL! Ok, if I get anything from you guys,I'll try to make a video too!
  19. Wow! Commando, Thin Ice, Diner, Dig Dug and plenty more all for free! That guy is really lucky, but, by how he carelessly throws around that mint looking boxed Thin Ice at 7:05, I guess neither him nor his friend know the actual value of those CIB games!
  20. Who won it? I decided to focus on something else so I didn't follow up with my "place holder" bid...
  21. Indeed! And, since I am teaching a game history class (at freshmen level), I can actually testify that most students do find retro gaming very interesting, if not fascinating, and understand its importance and influence in the modern gaming world. Games for both the 2600 and the Intellivision seem to be particularly appealing to them Cheers!
